Hi, I'm the anon from earlier. I just wanted to clarify that it's not that I don't want to read a flawed Kurt (I mean, all Kurts are flawed Kurts, it's a necessity) but I do think there's a tendency in fic sometimes to emphasize Kurt's flaws and no one else's so that comment did set off a "maybe not for me" bell in my head. Anyway, I haven't read the fic yet so that's not a criticism of you AT ALL. I love your Kurt in everything else you've written. Keep being awesome.
I have noticed fic that goes in both directions, both emphasizing his flaws and minimizing them. And in my fic if it seems like Kurt’s flaws are emphasized, it’s because he is the main character. I mean, the commenter clearly disagreed with that, but that’s how I saw it, at least.
And I wasn’t offended by anything you said, it just seemed weird that flawed characters would be a turn off to people. But this makes more sense now. And maybe it’s really not the fic for you, because it might read the same way to you as it did to the other person. I was mainly upset by the comment because I’ve been so wary of posting Klaine fic because of how harsh people are about characterization not fitting into certain standards but I was hoping I was just worrying too much. Aaaanyway I’ve rambled enough about this. Sorry if it felt like I was complaining at you! And thank you for saying you like my Kurt normally, that means a lot!
