Starlog : Hylotl!

I’m sure I’ve already Gushed about this before But the Hylotl are so CUTE ! The Three eye thing takes some getting used to, as does the pressure suit needed to get to their habitats. But .. they’re cute.  Or maybe I’ve been alone in this ship for too long.  You ever Live in a starship? It gets.. really Lonely sometimes.

Starlog : Glass Planet

This planet is a bit weird. It glows a bit, but that’s because The surface is see-through. That’s kinda nice, because there’s No sun in this system.  Honestly it’s not a bad Place but I can’t imagine how you’d sleep here.  In any case, Gyro ( Hylotl I got in touch with ) Hasn’t called back since then. Maybe the planet does weird things to radio signals.

I found a new Dress! The top leaves a few too many feathers exposed for my liking, But The goggles are cute and it’s really nice! 

Now if only I can fix this Camera drone.. The Picture quality is horrible. I knew Heiroglyph writers back home that could make cleaner pictures of people..with a chisel, on stone.

Starlog : Cute Fishpeople

I ran into a Hylotl Village today. One of those HUGE ones underneath where I was setting up a Deuterium extraction plant ( Sail has the details there, don’t ask me )  They have a really cute thing going on . Aside from all the warrior talk and dizzying references to a Million books I know nothing about and don’t really have time to read. The fish wasn’t bad either.. I guess spending centuries learning to cook something Makes you really good at it.  That and the seemed to know what my beak was for. They skipped all the side-salads and stuff. Thankfully. They were polite enough I think i’d have had issues telling them I’m carnivorous. I really enjoy that city, and I’m glad i’m only a click or two away from it at my deuterium plant.. I’ll have to triple-line the walls to make sure it’s safe, though. for them, of course, I don’t want radiation leaking into the water.

Starlog : Kevin?

I came across another outpost today. They helped me understand a lot of the Tech SAIL was making me build. Sifters , Circuit Makers, things like that. Now, I still don’t know how any of it works, But I know how to use it, and what parts to keep on hand. Guess I’m going to be doing a little more digging lately, because I haven’t run into one Undermarket man who has “ protocite “ On hand .. .  In any case. One of them at the Outpost was .. weird.. Bitter. But They offered good rewards for completing dumb tasks.. he wanted me to make a shirt .. or.. She ? I can’t tell. They say their name is kevin, but something about them makes my feathers stand on end. it’s like they’re barely part of the universe.  Anyway, I made their shirt and they paid me with a briefcase.. I’m not going to open it because it’s buzzing at me, So I’m about Ninety percent sure they filled it with bees.  OH ! I raided some pirates today.. they were .. tough. Some of the guns they had were really scary, but I used the environment to my advantage, Leading them around corners for quick knockouts . a few really close calls but I’m getting lucky today.  Still nothing on the transponder.. maybe I need to send messages out ? I don’t know how it works.

Heya! Wearing something I managed to Steal off of one of the pirates. I think this was supposed to be a medic ? Anyway. Should probably work on this hole in the wall. My Rebreather has batteries and it’s weird plugging myself into the ship every Two hours.

Starlog : Time

You know. The more I think about it the Less Time makes sense. SAIL has a clock built in but AM and PM don’t make sense and 24 Hour days don’t make sense either. I guess It’s more for normality.  I remember back on the Home Planet Days were about Thirty hours . and it took Four hundred and eight of them to make a year .  I’ve Been on salvage planets that dont’ have stars anymore . So there’s no day or night.  - A long pause settles into the recording-  Ah.. anyway, that’s all I have to talk about..  Coming to you from ... Cypher C-3   Juuust above the Glass planet.

Starlog : Training

I just realized I’ve never actually Learned much about fighting. I just punch things. or if it’s a robot point the guns at them and fire until it stops moving ( not glitch, though... I don’t know how to feel about Glitch )  All things considered... mmmmaaaaaybe I can get in close to one of these Hylotl ‘ Martial Artists ‘ ... Dunno how art ties into it but i’ll figure it out.  Close Transmission, Ship .  Mumbled in background : (should probably find a good looking one , though. so that I aaah.. pay attention more? ) Static as transmission closes
