“You’re too young to hate the world.”

Brain heard those words and it felt like a cruel joke.

Too young to hate the world, but they were not too young to risk their lives fighting Heartless.

“I don't hate it. I hate where it's going.”

Brain had made his decision. He was going to join the Dandelions. He should have been by Ava's side from the beginning. They had known each other for so long, after all.

But something drew him to Lord Ira.

And now, something else was driving him away.

He could see in his beloved leader a darkness brewing. Beneath all the stress and anger of what was clawing its way into the horizon.

Brain didn't want to be there when the light exposed those shadows.

“You're too young to hate the world.”

Ava said this to him in secret, after he joined her second Union. She could see something settling heavy in his heart, and it worried her.

“I don't hate it. I just expect better.”

Such a strong light in such a little thing... A balancing act that could be tricky.

“You're too young to hate the world.”

Lauriam whispered it to him, gently brushing away the tears that streamed down his face.

Brain shook his head, fingers curling into the fabric of Lauriam's vest. If he held onto the other, he could kepe himself together.

“I don't hate the world.”

Nothing stopped the tears.

“I hate that I couldn't do more.”

KHOC Week 2020 Day 7: Resolution and Gratitude @khoc-week While this is just a sketch of Faine and the rest of the KHUX cast that he’ll eventually befriend along the way. I would like to just thank the mods for putting up a week dedicated to showing our appreciation of KH and the creations of many fans by showcasing their OC’s to other fellow friends and those interested.To be frank, I was not into the concept of OC’s or making OC’s in general. Over time, with the inspiration and motivation from friends, I can at least understand why do people make OC’s for the series they like, with KH being one of them. That proud feeling of making a character (whether separate or self-insert) as well having them involved in the series does help bring out creativity and expand things that suit to our liking. In short, its fun!I wouldn’t be able to make my own OC, Faine, if it weren’t for me being both inspired and motivated from my friends to create one. For those of my friends reading this, Thank you so much for being very supportive and kind, whether on making and sharing OC’s or friendship in general. I look forward to see more of your OC’s as well as their stories that shaped them. I’m also glad for the positive reception on Faine too! Still, I’ll continue to help him be a proper character and I’ll support the works of others too. Thank you once again to the KH OC Mods and fellow friends.
