Now before I go too deep I will go ahead and do a quick recap on all the ki spirits/ki spirit terms since that's the first critters we got. And today we're focusing on the assistant/more friendly ones.

Wispers=animal shaped light weapon spirits made from reiki with minor reception power. Has a second level they transform into when they've stretched their abilities in reception.
Rumors=animal shaped dark clothing spirits made from yoki with minor transmission power. Has a second level they transform into when they've stretched their abilities in transmission.
Roars=the second level of a wisper, has reception power on par with a rumor.
Gossips=the second level of a rumor, has transmission power on par with a wisper
Noises=corrupted ki spirits that are unbalanced and acting with pure animal rage, instincts and base purpose.
Rumbles=the harmony of light and dark ki spirit. Often acts as family/home/individual guardian spirits
Murmurs= scarred but rebalanced ki spirits. Damages stand out but so do their recovery marks.
Speaker=the term used to label a holder/wielder of any type of wisper or rumor or rumble(one of our discussion topics today)
With that taken care of we can move onto newer information. I brought In all information on ki spirits because they are related to this in a form.
Now we have ki spirits yes. But we also have other types of spirits and creatures that come from the various chis. This will touch on the 3 types of chi spirits that exist. A type of spirit that any ki spirit could transform into(seeing a pure and normal ki spirit is pretty rare in modern day)
Staring off with spirit energy itself we have the inner animal/astral avatar
Inner beazts or astral avatars are the ultimate level of mastery over the power of spirit itself. The ultimate sign of you knowing all of your soul is that you've considered the instilled fear that blocks spirit energy channelers from meeting there inner beasts in a large capacity
An inner beast is a very simple thing really. Within every functioning soul there exists an inner animal. This little animal could be considered your best friend. They might even have been considered an imaginary friend at one point. This is your inner beast it is all parts of you but most importantly for spirit energy, it is the very combination of all your instincts and intuition. This inner beast will often grow alongside you and will contact you in any way it can. It's not abnormal to find a channeler had somewhat had multiple inner beasts as they are parts of you after all, But Usually They don't consciously make permanent extra avatars. But there are exceptions.
A wisper or rumor has the potential to 'evolve' in a way. Transcending it's previous form and becoming an entity of spirit energy by being bound to the channelers soul and nestling itself inside the spiritual heart/core of the channeler(just like any other inner beast you might have) it isn't just ki spirits as stray broken parts or pieces of magic and psychic spirits might find there ways into the soul and form one and this time you are making it consciously as you will find yourself forming or assisting it within trances and dreams. Shaping it's form with purpose as much as your intuitions and instincts fill in what's missing. One might actually invoke another part of there soul(or otherwise known as make another inner beast for temporary time) with the use of invoking specific purpose. Even these you could consider these more like extensions of your main spirit animal. And these extensions might not even always be animals. They could items of great significance to you. Anything to guide you
To channel and otherwise invoke your souls spirit animal or animals without the use of outside items(like the mystics and mediums do) is considered the highest kind of power for any spirit energy channeler.

Magical energy or arcane chi more often then not have to make their familiars consciously.
These creatures are much more often consciously made as they need to be carved into an animal shaped vessel. This vessel is often wood or even rock. Once inscribed with the proper arcane language for the element that familiar should invoke the ritual used to bring them to life will occur. If all steps were done correctly you have formed an arcane familiar.
These little magical ones are your classic witches familiar but in a golem like body. Able to do there own kind of elemental magic in it's purest form and can even assist and combine with our magic spells for an extra buff up. And just like inner beasts the ki spirits can become familars.
This is typically the result of them forming or a martial shell around themselves or having a shell get formed around them by time. Leaving something akin to a dormant and sleeping spirit as the later. This is how unintentional or not fully carved familiars get made as a mage might carve the figure's shell and ritual it to life. Fusing the spirit inside and making the golem anyway. But a ki spirit they can also just as easily possess the materials or completed figure before the ritual or the carving.
It is recommended you do not grant a familiar more than 2 elements and ensure your arcane runes and symbols are properly connected to maintain the creature's integrity and keep it from getting corrupted,sought after as a prize to be stolen,or break apart from sheer power of the elements fighting for dominance.
We have one more piece of pure friendly spirits today. Fantasies
Fantasies are the only chimeric spirits that seem to exist. Being creatures from the realm of dreams and nightmares. These manifestations of pure psionic energy Are some of the strangest applications of spirits within chi and ki. Being both friend and foe. As they could be your friendly guiding spirit but they could also be a dangerous enemy. Really something like this is only seen elsewhere in ki and that's because of a specific breed of ki spirit. And a pretty nasty one at that called distortions.
These chimeras of dreams and willpower form themselves with pure psychic energy truly showing the power's of the mind by being formed from willpower,dreams and pure psyght(or concentrated psychic energy) which in of itself is an energy that's always moving and seems almost alive in certain ways.
These creatures often come with many patterns, as like familars these creatures just so happen to be able to assist with the neural webs 3 load bearing strands. While their main body produces a dotted star like stellar theme they will often be decked out with a symbol or a few that represent what branch of psionics they represent. It could be a simple eye for telepathy or a wave for kinesis, or even bringing in some dreamy clouds for teleportation. Whatever the case is these creatures are a unique edition to the line up of spirit's the only thing about them that makes it hard to find them is that they spend their time more often than not inside the realm of sleep and dreams. Meaning you most often will not find them on your own and if you do it'll be a toss up on if you remember the encounter or even think it's real.
One thing to note is that these little ones often are created as imaginary friends and often don't get marks from birth. But by specializing in that field of psionic study.

So we had covered the more benevolent and often kinder entities of the world of ki and chi. But know we move onto the darker entities. One's that are more bound to be moleveolent.
And we shall start off with the darkest type of ki spirit. The distorion.
First and foremost what is it that makes a distortion. Well it's simple really, they are what happens when a wisper or rumor meets their end in a foul way. If the ki spirit didn't get help with their overuse of their type of empathy or are rejected too many times eventually the body just cannot take it and dissolve into a different, more corruptive strain of reiki and yoki.
This pool of corruptive energy gives birth to a disfigured animal like creature that might often be mistaken as a creature of heavenly or infernal origin or even an angel of a demon depending on the type of energy that's made it's new form. Despite the ability to purify and otherwise save these beings DO NOT be fooled. These creatures take on a whole new meaning with the word souless.
A distortion has no natural soul of its own(with some rarity on that) and is run on its cocktail of corrupted energy and emotion. Emotion that renders these incarnations of ki quite emboldened and angry. Angry enough to attack humans and otherwise sentient life to try and not only satisfy the grudge that makes it's very being, but to also consume the very soul of the creature it attacks. Many soul sicknesses and infections can be attributed to these creatures made from pulsing reiki and pulsing yoki . It's perhaps a blessing that it's far too rare to often meet in the mortal world. They have extreme difficulty regularly manifesting outside of their territories in the astral plane.
But distorions are much more adaptable then anyone thought. They are able to mutate and transform into other kinds of chi creatures much like our other ki spirits.
Creatures like the fantasies of psionic energy for exalple. And become a more malevolent fantasy, and become much easier to infiltrate the plane that creature is from(but it also makes them easier to change and become better then there corrupted form). they seemed to also gain something new in their soul absorbing repertoire in all forms they possess beyond there usual ki spirit form(or perhaps it's always been in their wheelbarrow but they hardly use it in exchange for pure savage force). Deal making. where there is power you will often find those who wish for an easy path,those who are desperate,those who might have no choice or feel entitled to that oath they envisioned. And the distortions deliver these with deals made to give something in return for portions of the contractors soul. And the deal will get worse and worse till there's nothing left. Nothing but a soulless husk. It's often much more subtle than your traditional soul hunting monster. And takes more time.
Do not fear, you can fight them off and(if you pacify or purify them) can often retrieve the souls and soul portions they've stolen as their bodies break apart from the damage they sustain(with relatively low scarring that'll fade with time or adapt to the person's soul.) more often then not since they're rare these distortions often attack those in the astral realm. As their astral self might attract them. The brighter the soul the easier it is to attract them but also purify them. A bright soul who knows the right flow and ebb is even able to sever contracts and help erase their marks and rot the roots and tendrils of a contract that is unfulfilled. Annulling the bargains.
Moving onto the other creatures we also possess sentiments. Or sometimes sentimental mitama(sentimental souls)
A sentiment (compared to the distortions.) is one of the most common kinds of spirits you may encounter, not chi spirits, But any spirits. This is due to the fact that sentiments are fledgling emotions. And are often made accidentally, especially by tragedies and events of great emotion. As a being spawned by a singular type of emotion a sentiment can often be one track minded. Focusing on amassing more of their emotion into themselves or just propagating their emotion in some form or another. You might find sentiments that are harmless or cause little damage but they can cause harm. Now while they are often made with one emotion a sentiment can amass a form with multiple emotions. And this can make it not only more complex and powerful but there form will often be extremely unstable and as ink-like as the pure ectomotion that births them
These forms are the forms that are often birthed from swaths of sentiments forming together or when the emotions of a great tragedy or a great wonder form together. A sentiment could also wait to form itself. Literally steeping in it's emotional energy before it forms. Think of it like a paint canvas that slowly adds more of it's own paint to itself and or mixes other paints into itself to make newer larger colors.
Sentiments for how large in quantity they are can still be subdued. Many a chi channeler can defeat them, and the power of your own soul can house sentiments as familars
A distorted sentiments deals are often more emotion based. And will leave a mark on the person's soul and their aura. The spiritual icons that can pop up. The deal is often much more draining on the emotions than anything else. The mutated deal making power targeting emotion over anything else. Sometimes even over the very soul of it wants to.
Magic power possesses faeries
Born of pure elemana are fairies. Beings of pure elemental power. And often might be some of the first kinds of creatures you consider to be deal makers. And they can be, but the fae themselves are forces of nature. Performing the actions of nature itself or preserving faith and beauty in the world. But just as they are beautiful they can also be very punishing. As nature takes little to no prisoners. And isn't afraid to cause harm for it's needs. Unlike sentiments a fairy is basically always one element. But come in myriad of forms. From creature like,to humanoid,to small,to large, to everything between. Finding a fae isn't extremely hard but you'll be hard pressed to notice them. Nor there groves and wilds they inhabit and made within special pockets of the physical world
A deal signed away by a distorted faerie is a deal signed on blood. It's often the one that is most done. And especially seen when in the legendary deal with the devil or deal with the Divine.
But with all pain. There is a reprieve. A creature who seems to only have the best interests of whoever they've chosen. The abstracts
An abstract is a type of sentiment. Only they seem to be a fully stabilized sentiment(one light call them the emotional sentiments of emotional sentiments) of multiple emotions. It's a being that often pick individuals they like to protect or even play as a host for them in some cases like a speaker. They might even impart little gifts of that individual particularly matches them and there energy.
And they themselves exist in pockets of the astral plane. Often carrying mass amounts of sentiments on their backs or in their realms. A notorious bunch of abstracts would be the 4 turtles. A group of turtles seemingly based on a version of the 4 constellations of China. Only as a group of turtles.
P.s. since distortions are made from the empathy based wisper and rumor families I thought about this near constant source of danger and corruption could be a reference(is the term allegory?) for unchecked unhelped trauma. Just a random thought at 3 am as I write this and remember'hey you've added some possible allegories or references to certain things. Or you try to and feel worried you're doing it wrong and need to be reassured you're not.
But this is just a thought. And if I do come to a decision on it after speaking with my main help on this subject I'll probably make a list of those certain things I talked about.
