Just the way grandma does it! Little Big Store serves all your favorite grandma dishes like the special jam-packed lumpia, kiampung, plain congee that you pair with famous Xiamen dishes, maki, chami (pansit guisado) and more! But don't think that only Chinese would patronize this restaurant. Actually, anyone would love their sweet and cozy ambiance. Nothing fancy but very hearty. A little warning though, do not expect good service, in fact do not expect service at all. Haha! A part of the place is dedicated to a mini grocery that is full of special food items from China. You can even avail of their frozen home-made goods. Try out their frozen siomai and hakaw as well as their almond jelly dessert! For our nth visit, we ordered our favorite kiampung, adobo egg with ngo-hiong (kikiam-like) and chicken. That's it! Everything was good and I don't know if it's because it brings back fond memories of my grandma's cooking. But for take out, we ordered some of the frozen goods, a huge lumpia that we shared at home and homemade black gulaman! I believe that Little Big Store is a genuine proof of the Filipino-Chinese culture with this cuisine that has evolved and somehow fused with Filipino cooking. It might not be everyone's favorite and the price is not cheap for it's standard. You'll probably spend almost 200 pesos per person but it is sure a good fix for comfort food. I suggest visiting for breakfast but be willing to wait to be seated. Jao an!(Good morning!) Ciao! Tipay My rating: 2.5/5 Magic's rating 2.5/5
