Sunday the 8th
This is not a journal entry.. tmblr is not my diary [not that i own one]
Just a few thoughts running through my mind tonight... I'll just share them to the world that eagerly awaits on the words that are going to come from me... on a serious note though
1. Kibebew Geda and Meskerem Bekele
I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life like yesterday night. Even though it started late [like everything else habesha] it was actually worth everything. I must say ... I liked Kibebew's parts more [ever so slightly] over Meskerem's .. cause it was more Ethiopian. For a minute I though I was in addis.. just brought memories.
If the tour comes to a city near you.. I highly recommend it. It would be a night to remember and it won't disappoint.
2. The Ethiopian Waliyas WON!!
This was the second highlight of my weekend. So proud of the Ethiopian team. The people's reaction and support was even more beautiful. They never cease to amaze me. You'd think no one has ever won a game or even scored a goal. Regardless, we won, and that's what matters. One thing I want to add though, the fact that they had to play this game again because of the whole yellow card drama from the previous game, is that it wasn't as bad as it sounded at first. Once I listened to Minyahel speak about it here, [Interview starts at 10:20 mark the explanation at 16:20 mark.] Some people find Seifu Fantahun annoying, I must admit he's not my favourite person either.. but it serves the purpose. I feel like the interview revealed a lot about Minyahel's personality though.. I actually didn't know the members of the team and this was a good insight. And congratulations to him on his upcoming wedding and he has a gorgeous bride I might add. Going back to the yellow card though, they should have some kind of system put in place to prevent these kind of things instead of dealing with them after the fact. Who digs up all these things after the end of the game anyway? I wonder what that person was doing before o.O... anyway water under the bridge. We're going to RIO!!
I must admit I've grown fond of this anthem.. but I don't understand the reference to lucy.. maybe it's just something I don't know.
3. Last but not least.. the Ethiopian New Year is almost here!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!! If I don't come back with another post for the newyear.. please accept my heartfelt greetings. እንኳን ለአዲሱ አመት በሰላም አደረሳችሁ። የደስታ የሰላም የጤና ይሁንላችሁ!
That's about it! G'night World!
B!
