Path To The Dark Side || Simber ft. Kiara

Berlioz was meeting Simba at the docking port where there was a small freighter waiting for them. He’d found a caterer who was going back to Coruscant for more supplies-- apparently the attendees at the gala were drinking them clean and they’d need a restock to finish off the trip. From there, they’d arrange for a transport vessel to Naboo. If everything went well, his father would not be on the planet when Berlioz docked for the last time, and when his father did dock, Berlioz would be far-gone, thousands of parsecs away. He’d disappear in Naboo’s blues and greens, his old bedroom cleared.
It’d be easier on everyone like that. A clean break, no time for goodbyes; his letter would say everything better than he ever could.
He’d left that letter in his room right on top of his pillow. He figured Lou would be the one to find it; once Berlioz didn’t show up tonight, he’d try to track him down. In the meantime though, Ber was speeding down the corridor, choosing to go through the stewards’ halls so he wouldn’t run into anyone and they wouldn’t ask why he had a bag with him.
So far, halls were quiet. Everyone was getting ready for tonight’s events. Berlioz walked quickly, but it was because he was excited-- not because he was nervous.
He did not notice when someone slipped from an alcove behind him.
He did not hear the soft thud of their boots-- the ship’s ventilators were louder.
He only turned at the sound of a lightsaber hissing to life.
“Sim--” he began, a spark of confusion in his stomach. But when he turned, it was not Simba at all. His face drained of colour and he stumbled back a few steps at once.
Two bright-red lightsabers glowed from a girl’s wrists. Her eyes were golden, her skin milky, her expression as sharp as a razor. Berlioz had heard of this girl, there were rumours of a mercenary ever since the Queen of New Lelara disappeared--
“Wh-what-- what do -- “
“Nice to meet you, Senator Bonfamille,” hissed the girl, walking toward him swiftly. Her cloak billowed behind her. “Thanks for making it so easy.”
Then she lunged-- and Berlioz ran.
