While the first poster and promos of the film hinted at a superhero saga, the trailer shows that Salman Khan is no hero in the film, but a devil.
The much-anticipated trailer of Salman Khan’s next blockbuster (we’re assuming) is out. While it has some typical Salman elements, we must say we were quite impressed with the direction and story as well. However, as always, we definitely do have our comments to give.
The trailer starts with Randeep Hooda hunting for a person named ,’Devil’, who has maligned his image in the law machinery.
As Devil, Salman Khan sports a figure hugging sweatshirt, with its hood attached to the mask.
The last bit of the trailer again shows Salman Khan as Devil, who has caused havoc in the town. The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a negative role
The trailer has some high end action sequences a la Salman Khan style. The trailer, however, did not introduce us to the film’s soundtrack, which is by S. Thaman. Novelist Chetan Bhagat, whose ’2 States’ recently hit a bulls eye at the Box Office, has written the film’s script.

★ Salman And Sajid's 'Kick' Creates Record, Fetches Biggest 'Promo Opening' Of 1 Crore !

This has never happened before for a mainstream Bollywood film. Online theatrical promo of Kick has managed to get over 1 crore (10 million) views for itself and that too inside 10 days of its release. A first of its kind phenomenon when it comes to online marketing of a Bollywood film, it has also set benchmarks for many a biggie to follow. "The promo has got the fastest one million, five million and now 10 million views," says an online media conslutant, "This shows the kind of reach Kick has managed to gain in such quick time. It isn't just about Salman hysteria coming into play. The fact that it enjoys over 95% likes further proves how the film has turned hot a month before its release." Slated for arrival exactly a month from now (on 25th July), the film is also special since it is Salman's Eid release two years after Ek Tha Tiger. Just like the Aditya Chopra production, even Kick boasts of some cutting edge action complimented by grand production values and treatment by Sajid Nadiadwala, who has is producing as well as directing the film. "Sajid always wanted to make sure that the very First Look of his debut directorial affair promised big screen entertainment. That has further ensured that the promo is much in demand as quite a few clap-trap moments (including the one where Salman casually walks across an approaching train) as well as large scale action shots have dominated the proceedings. To be put it simply, this is the biggest 'opening' ever that a promo of a film has received," an insider adds. So far, the biggest online response to promo of a film has been for Krrish 3, Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express, each of which fetched close to 2 crore (20 million) views. However, that accounts for lifetime count gathered till date since their arrival. With Kick managing to achieve 50% of this count already and that too inside 10 days, one wonders how far would it go from this point on. When informed of this feat, Sajid just smiled and said, "Well, so far so good. The response is of course heartening. However, as they say, 'yeh toh trailer hai, picture abhi baaki hai'."
