If You Love Her, Let Her Go

Everyone seems to think that Lance and Allura are on a date in this scene from the trailer, but I don’t think so? The way Lance is so far away from her—his body language, relaxed, but respectful and reserved (hands in pockets). I think everyone was at some sort of function, and Allura kind of drifts off by herself, deep in thought (there’s something big on her mind, everything seems to point to something BIG happening with her). Lance notices her leave and follows, cautiously, respectful. 

He watches as she quite literally brings life back to a massive tree that once stood withered. It’s then he sees—she is everything the universe needs. Her destiny is so much bigger than staying with him on Earth. I think this is when he lets Allura go.

Obviously, I could be wrong. Despite this post, my hopes for Keith and Lance being endgame aren’t actually that high, but...if they are...if this is what they have been leading up to all this time, I think that’s what this scene is.

Only December 14th will tell.
