I'm here I'm awake and I'm ready to talk about kid grump Brian leading Jack and/or Vernon around on a wild goose chase to give the others time to shave/dye heads and apply temp. Tattoos and stuff like that. Sometimes Suzy or Barry does it, but Brian likes fucking with his guardians so he volunteers the most.

Welcome back! Hope you had a nice nap/break!

Brian is always so hard to find, too, so he’s usually the candidate if they need A LOT of time. So Brian just “goes missing” for a while and one of the other kids alerts Jack and Vernon. So then the two of them are off searching for Brian because GOD KNOWS what he could be doing right now. Then the rest of them immediately throw themselves into action doing whatever shenanigans they need to.

Next brian. Brian was raised in a rough part of town. He was taught that any emotion, postive or negative was weakness. If he showed weakness he wad beaten.His parents neglected him, because than he wouldn't become 'soft', so he had to use his brains and physical ability to survive. Since you don't exactly get well liked by shutting off all your emotions and using people as tools Brian had to hide his face so no one could recognize him. He was eventually caught and removed from his home- au anon

Brian probably also had a bit of a stint as a small, child criminal. Possibly of his own accord, possibly with influence from people who thought he would be useful, no one is really sure. They never pinned it on him (hell, he was, like, three, who would even try?), but he sure got away with a lot of robberies.

And god, was it an adventure to catch that little fucker. He was definitely in no rush to be removed form his home.

Also, meeting Danny, you know, the kid who’s literally nothing but emotion and feelings and happiness for all? Yeah, that was probably an adventure. I imagine they didn’t like each other much at first (at least, Brian didn’t like Danny) but eventually they kind of grew together, being the only kids their own age at the orphanage.

ANGSTY MIDDLE SCHOOL DAN I AM READY. Say he tries to start a band with arin and brian (go figure) and they first try to write the gross angsty teen songs, but that doesn't work so they write about video games and everyone things they're weird for it

oh my god can you imagine Danny, Brian, and Arin doing like Fall Out Boy and Mayday Parade covers. And Danny secretly “borrowing” Suzy’s eyeliner to get that perfect emo band look. And before the name Starbomb (or NSP for that matter) they come up with something really angsty like “Midnight Memories” or “Death Hawks.”

And then they finally come into their own and start writing songs about video games and the (very small) fanbase that they had built up is like “wait...wh-what?” and completely ditches them because this is not the angsty garage band music they signed up for???

Ooooo!!! Dan finding out about Arin's singing and rapping by listening him doing it in the shower/bath!!!!!

I’m just imagining tiny child Arin hardcore rapping during bathtime. It’s so hilarious.

But also, Arin being too small to really understand how to write raps (or curse), but he wants to write raps with Danny and Brian about all the video games he really likes, so he gives them his ideas and they write it for him. And he doesn’t really understand half the things he’s saying, but it’s about video games so he’s happy.

Jack and Vernon take Barry to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria for his "birthday" since they don't know the date. On that note: Ross convincing them that his birthday is everyday, taking advantage of it, so Jack and Vernon take him places because they don't know the real date. More birthday prompts. Incorporate the other Grumps, because I got nothing. But it's cute!

Poor Barry, my son. Jack and Vernon think he’ll find it fun, but the whole time Barry just tries to keep as far away from the animatronics as he can. And he’s just got this terrified look in his eye the whole time because those things are super creepy.

Ross waiting just long enough where he’s pretty sure they’ve forgotten that he’s already celebrated his “birthday” and then just going and telling them “HEY I’M OLDER NOW. IT’S MY BIRTHDAY.” and using like “Danny said it’s my birthday and he remembers so obviously it’s true” to convince them (even if Danny has not even been consulted on the matter). But the whole time they’re celebrating Vernon and Jack have this feeling that “didn’t we do this a couple of months ago? he says it was a whole year but...?” And eventually they get wise to it and write it down the next time Ross says it’s his birthday so they’re like “nope you get one a year and we know what the day is this time.”

Danny and Brian actually remember their birthdays because they were a lot older so they actually celebrate it on the right day. And Danny has dinosaur themed birthday parties every year. And I’m talking the whole shebang--party hats, balloons, banners, dinosaur shaped cake.

Brian is like the exact opposite. Sure, he’ll accept your presents, but he doesn’t want a cake, a party, really any kind of acknowledgement that it’s his birthday. He spends his birthday pretty much like every other day of his life.

Suzy and Arin celebrate their birthdays on the same day because why not! They like to celebrate with each other and they like to do a lot of the same stuff! Usually on their birthdays, they go on a little day trip to a museum or a petting zoo or a little carnival or something and take the whole family along for a day of fun and sugar-highs!

And Kevin and Holly kind of have pretty standard birthdays. Cakes, a few presents, they probably have friends over for some fun times. Nothing nearly as extravagant as Danny’s birthday, but still making a day out of it, you know?

Oooooo!!!! Do Danny and Brian perform their songs at school? What do the teachers think of it?

oh my god Danny and Brian as small children writing NSP songs? They’d perform them on the playground for all their classmates to hear and obviously they’re gonna listen because Danny is such a good singer and everything. And also there’s an edginess factor that the kids like because it’s like “ooh we’re not supposed to be listening to this shhh” and then ONE kid snitches and the teachers tell them they can’t do that anymore because it’s not appropriate.

So they just sing their NSP songs at the back of the playground really quietly and it’s now invite-only concerts

Dan in kid grumps is like combination of mom and big brother. They all love him and everyone looks out for each other. Each sibling has their own little way of protecting the others. - au anon

true. Danny definitely protects all of his tiny brothers and sisters. But they all look out for each other for sure.

Brian does shit without telling anyone because he doesn’t want them to know he did something sweet and nice. But he’s also the most brutal if someone is bullying his siblings.

Danny snuggles everyone and focuses on making them feel better immediately.

Arin tries to crack jokes and make them smile so that they can kind of forget about things.

Ross never really knows what to do, so he just kind of silently sits with the person and let’s them lean on him to cry or anything they need. He holds their hand or gently runs a hand through their hair or something.

Barry brings presents and food and just constantly offers them things that he knows they like to cheer them up.

Holly brings flowers/flower crowns for them and lets them rant to her and yell and stuff and she’s just a really good listener.

Suzy likes to get them out of the house and their little mopey bubble so she’ll take them outside and look at clouds/stars or find bugs and flowers. Just distraction.
