My first green tip/trick for the year! Using an old sweatshirt sleeve to make a kid coat! Using the picture as a guide, cut along the dotted lines and discard the yellow sections to the scrap bin for use another day. You may have to make a cut, an inch or so straight up, from the leg opening for proper fit.
Over night temps are in the high teens to low 20s here right now so a kid coat is a necessity in an unheated barn. Remember that new kids grow daily so it is important to check the coat daily to make sure it is not constricting around the neck or belly!
The little guy modeling the coat is the first kid born this year. Born to our half Boer doe Curly.
