***UPDATE*** We are so excited to share that early this morning Zenzali's prayers were answered and wish came true! She had a remarkable woman humbly come forward to be her kidney donor. This brave and beautiful donor wishes to remain anonymous, but we all THANK YOU for seeing Zenzali's story and taking action in helping extend her life. The 6th patient from #KidneySolutions was successfully transplanted in Abuja on Dec 5th by Dr Obi Ekwenna, Dr Elijah Miner, Dr Balami and a team of other dedicated professionals. The patient and his donor are doing great. Dr Ekwenna is an Assistant Professor of urology and transplantation at the University of Toledo Ohio USA and helping to grow the capabilities for local expertise in conducting such procedures in Nigeria one patient at a time. Also- we use brand new filters and bloodlines each time patients are treated. Some centers manually wash filters and bloodlines and that is so dangerous for patients.
