Call For Work
Hi. I’m 14 and I’m making an anthology zine about how our generation has been affected by the school shootings that have become prevalent in America.
This zine (title under construction) is about how school shootings have affected teens across America. The publication date is set for March 14th, 2020. The zine will be created digitally and sent as a PDF to all contributors. Contributors will be encouraged to print out and share their copy with others.
The zine is accepting submissions in the form of nonfiction prose, art, poetry, or comics. Submissions should relate to your personal experiences. I understand that the content is inherently mature, but please do not submit anything excessively violent. Submissions may be turned down if the content is considered inappropriate. The deadline to submit work is November 14th, 2019. Comics and writing should be between 1-4 pages. Poems and art must be 1 page. Contributors should be 13-17 years old and from America, as this zine is specifically about the way school shootings have become a part of America’s psyche. Submissions will be accepted based on relevance and quality of work.
The gmail account for this zine is [email protected]. If you have any questions or have material you are ready to submit, that is the address. That is also the address I will be sending out periodic updates on the status of the zine through.
Please tell teens in your life about this, or if you are a teen, consider creating something for the zine. Again, the submission deadline is November 14th and we aim to have the zine completed and ready to send out by March 14th.

She had just started middle school when she asked her mother to share…

Hysterical Birthday Cards From Children
Hysterical Birthday Cards From Children
Birthday cards from children are the best. They’re never afraid to speak their mind, which makes their blunt well-wishes come up sounding almost sarcastic at times. Add in spelling mistakes and bizarre artwork, and you have a recipe for hilarity.
Almost A Milestone
By the time you hit 35, you usually don’t want to think about how old you. This kid got his father salt in the wounds for his…

You Won’t Stop Laughing At These Kids Notes
Kids notes are an endless source of entertainment. Children often freely say whatever is on their mind, and this is reflected in their (poorly spelled) writing. So sit back and enjoy the brutal honesty and creative wisdom of these kids notes.
Apologies
Sometimes you have to suck it up and say “sorry” when you’ve done something wrong. Granted, you obviously don’t always mean it, but you still have…
