The star ratings are there, but top recommendations:
Atmosphere - Taylor Jenkins Reid - Simply outstanding. This may be my favorite read of 2025 so far. I read the book and listened to the audiobook. I STRONGLY recommend the audiobook on this one. The narration is incredible - I'm still recovering from that end!
The Vanishing Half - Brit Bennett - Wow! Brit Bennett explores racism, colorism, trans and queerphobia, classism, internalized hatred, generational trauma, and more, all with nuance and emotional depth. This is officially one of my favorite books!
Daisy Jones & the Six - Taylor Jenkins Red - My love of all things TJR continues! I preferred the audiobook to the book for this one, with the transcript style of story-telling - this one is really best on audio - but what a great story.
So far, I'm loving my September reads, and I've already surpassed my 2025 book goal. Always happy to chat about any of these reads!
