Anybody recognizes this famous garden? It‘s Kiftsgate Court Gardens. Isn’t this the most glorious garden scene? I love these iconic blue garden furniture. Why am I posting this garden today? Because this Easter Sunday we have finally have time to continue to plan our trip to England this summer in more detail. So naturally, great British gardens are on my mind! We have decided to visit the Cotswolds, again, an area of outstanding beauty even for England where almost everywhere is beautiful. I hope that we are able to book our accommodations today. It’s been quite a while since I have been posting the last time. Life has just been super busy for me as it sometimes is. I hope, I can get back to posting regularly every third day, again. My apologies for still not having answered to all the comments of the last two posts. I simply have not been able to keep up. Please cut me some slack! Another delightful and romantic scene from Kiftsgate Court Gardens located in the Cotswolds in England. I like how the neatly clipped boxwood hedge frames the abundantly flowering roses and peonies in my favorite colors of light and dark pink accompanied by blue flowering hardy geraniums. The old staircase conquered by moss just adds to charm! Tall and impressive climbers are softening the grand and beautiful facade of the house in the background. Even when you are not gardening on such a big scale I think there is a lot to learn that you can make use of in a much smaller garden as well! I am always on a quest to find true blue flowering plants for the garden. They are the hardest to come by. But these totally gorgeous deep blue delphiniums fit the bill. If the rose is the queen in the flower kingdom, I think of the delphinium as the king. They are out of the world beautiful but seem to be a pain in the neck to grow. Snails and slugs love them and each flower stalk needs to be staked by hand. But I believe their outstanding beauty makes it worth to plant them in the garden. How about you?
