I can’t stop picturing him getting in arguments with Destiny when it comes to who he shoots with his arrows (or uses his songs to weave a net of love around his chosen couple) Destiny says A and B belong together, but Jaskier is like “hmmm. I’ll never get people who forget Percy. He’s my favorite of the entire family.

i think it was in my tags that i described percy as an irritating nerd in a family full of jocks and i say that with all the love in my heart possible

tbh i was mostly indifferent to percy when i first read the books BUT upon rereads i ended up really liking him. i can sympathize a lot with his brand of try-hard perfectionism and honestly as someone with a Cool Older Sibling, i absolutely get why he struggles with bill and charlie and why he doesn’t get along with the twins that much (or doesn’t seem to, anyway). and like.... even tho i think it’s reprehensible, he honestly thought he was doing right by ron and by his family when he wrote to ron about staying away from harry. 

also it burns me very much that people forget about him bc he’s Very Present in the books!!! he’s in the background hovering and being disapproving and he’s around a lot!!! harry clearly considers him an Annoying Older Brother Figure. idk it rubs me the wrong way that people forgot about him bc he’s not just there for a blink and you’ll miss it moment, he’s a pretty big minor character in the books!!!!

anyway i LOVE my tryhard nerd with ALL MY HEART and i WILL defend him against people who believe percy jackson is the only fictional percy in the world with two fists

I love your blog already, but even more so after passing the post about telling people to stop sending you ML salt. It seems that people are LOOKING for reasons to bitch and complain about the show lately, and I'm getting SO tired of it. Happy to mark as a salt free blog that I follow!

In my opinion people are legitimately digging deeper than they need to these days. It’s like they thrive off of negativity. An episode will be wonderful and fun - like Oblivio - and people will still find something to complain and be pissed about. Not that there’s anything wrong with pointing out flaws in a show, sometimes it’s necessary and even helps you enjoy the show more with its flaws. But the point is that the ML fandom seems to like... Actively enjoy reaching (and I do mean reaching) for reasons to be mad, and searching for things to complain about.

I’ll admit that when season 2 first started I was in on the salt for a little while. But damn is it getting exhausting when after every. Single. Episode. That airs my dash is seasoned to the brim with salt.

From now on I will be a salt-free blog because I am so tired of the negativity. I’m here to enjoy the show, not fester in a pit so full of salt that it’s dehydrated.

And this isn’t me saying people shouldn’t be salty, and shouldn’t critique the show - that’s fine, you do you if you want to. I just personally don’t enjoy it.

*holds hand up for a high five* Heyo, another member of "Stop Bitching About Every Fucking Episode And Enjoy Things For Christs Sake". I can't tell you how much salt and complaining I pass after every episode, and it's getting REALLY annoying. It's a kids show. Made for children. Shut up and enjoy the adorable children's show where you KNOW the main characters will get their happily ever after. There is ZERO need to nip-pick everything. (I'm salty about their salt) (ps I adore your art SO MUCH)

i get ya. Criticism is good but there’s a point in which i want to enjoy the show just for it and not seeing every mistake i can get hold onto.

Seriously! He may be your brother, but that doesn't mean you're automatically obligated to take care of him all day every day. Not your kid, not your problem. You have your own wants and life plans and they don't include taking care of someone who is fully capable of doing it himself and just doesn't want to. Your brother has autism, right? So do I and I don't have people taking care of me and catering to my every whim. Your mom messed up and now SHE needs to take care of him, not you.

She did mess up but both of my parents did when it came to him. 

He’s autistic but he’s low functioning so it’s harder for him to do things. But he is capable of learning things like washing dishes and making the bed. He could place laundry in the washing machine and learn how to set it. There are things that he can do and learn and I’m not saying this out of frustration but genuinely because I’ve seen him learn things which he remembers how to do.

But my parents (especially my mother) aren’t helping him because their solutions are:

they’ll find a partner for him

he’ll live close to me so i can still take care of him in some way

And that’s not helping him. My mother talks about how he needs to learn how to be independent but as soon as my brother protested in going to the centre that helps him with that, she caved because, “oh he’s not in the right place,” but that isn’t it at all.

My brother told her he didn’t want to go because he didn’t want to walk there anymore. -.- Legit said, “no more walking, no more buses,” and my mother went okay and I’m like, “You’ve got to be fucking joking,” and that centre caters to him and they take him places so I’m like...

How exactly is he going to become independent if my mother literally agrees to all that he wants??? And trust me, he’s aware of this and he uses it.
