wait why is Leroy and Xeno on the list? I thought the former was a guy and the latter was nonbinary??? SORRY FOR DUMB QUESTION I'M STILL NEW TO EVERYTHING HERE AND JUST GOING OFF BY A BIT I SAW AROUND ASJKASJK
You're good!
Although Leroy's genderfluid and Xeno's nonbinary, they still technically have boobs (Leroy doesn't care, and Xeno wears a binder), and Naomi still crushes on them cuz uhhhh I lack self control--
hey man, they ARE kind-of compatible with each other. i mean, imagine all the bickering! anyway, i’m loving shipping week so far, and this piece is no exception. i’d like to expand their relationship in the future maybe, seeing as this one is quite open-ended. anyway, enjoy!

RIVAL
Valentine’s Day [after the events of Dark Cupid]
The sight of Chat Noir and Ladybug “pounding it” was enough to confuse the brunette sitting by the park’s fountain. He watched as the heroine rushed off to somewhere, leaving her partner reaching out for her and at a loss. He watched as Chat Noir begrudgingly walked away from the scene, finally leaving him alone.
Kim looked around the peaceful park, wondering how he had wound up here when he had been on the bridge. He shut his eyes, recalling the painful sting of Chloé’s rejection and humiliation. He had spent weeks, maybe months, fawning over her and her apparent-perfection. He should’ve listened to Nino’s warning about her being heartless.
Kim stood up, stumbling slightly, and tried to make his way outside of the park. Paris seemed to be normal once more- a couple of cops cleaning here and there, but nothing too big. It seemed like the city’s crime-fighting duo had saved them from the hands of Hawkmoth once more.
The jock shook his head, still in disbelief that he had become a victim of the akumas. He could recall him terrorizing the streets of Paris, but that was all; he had no clue and had no intention of knowing the details. He staggered slowly, trying to get away from the park that held his memories. His thoughts were only of Chloé, and he hated how, even after she completely aggravated and humiliated him, his mind still went to the thoughts of her.
“Hey Kim!” A familiar voice called out to the heartbroken boy. He turned to see Alix roller-skating up to him with a wide smile. His eyebrows furrowed, and he watched his competitive rival smoothly make her way towards him. He picked up the pace, not wanting to converse with any of his classmates now.
“Woah, hey wait!” Alix hollered at him with a concerned look plastered all over her face. He was quicker this time, but he wasn’t in the mood for a race so he didn’t even try to get away. He heard her rollerblades skid to a stop in front of him, and he looked up to see her panting.
Alix’s blue eyes met his dark brown ones with a slight glare. Her cheeks were flushed slightly, and he watched as her mouth formed into a slight pout. Before he could push her out of his way, she grabbed his arm and directed them to the street that led to the school. He didn’t even put up a fight.
The tomboy dragged him into the school premises and into one of the locker rooms, and he was honestly thankful there wasn’t anyone else to see him break down. Alix nudges him, silently asking him to recall the events. He clamps his mouth shut and shakes his head; it wasn’t like she’d understand her position anyway.
“Let me listen, Kim. I’m not going to leave you alone in the state you’re in,” she says, freeing her messy pink hair from the helmet. Her eyebrows were brought together in genuine concern, and he could tell she was going to be as stubborn as all hell with him.
Kim tried to form a coherent sentence to start it with, but the moment he opened his mouth, he just control of his emotions. He came crashing into Alix’s arms, and sobs just flowed out, even when he didn’t want them to. His eyes stung as tears immediately sprung forth and rolled down his defined cheeks. He just wanted to scream but he tried to hold it in; it was embarrassing enough for him to cry and in front of Alix of all people.
Alix stiffened as she listened to his mumbled rant in-between the cries. Her rival had started getting her favorite jeans wet, but she could care less. He started panting and hiccupping, and she was honestly tempted to just pull him into a tight hug. She knew how hard it must’ve been for him to have the courage to speak to Chloé, let alone confessing to her, and it honestly amazed her to think he kept these sobs tucked away until she had seen him.
Kim poured out everything he could- both the tears and the horrible tale of his heartbreak. It wasn’t like the rejection was unexpected or anything, but it hurt anyway. Alix sighed, carefully detaching him from her lap. She brought her legs up to her chin as she internally debated giving him advice or not. She was hardly a suitable candidate for love advice after all, but she decided to make it general anyway.
“Well, Chloé doesn’t deserve you anyway!”
Kim looked up at Alix, confused with her choice of words. He wasn’t even the best guy in the school- that title went to Adrien- or the most romantic one for that matter. There wasn’t even that much good about him, in his opinion, and it was no wonder Chloé rejected him. Before he could interrupt, she continued her ramble.
“Kim, honestly, you’re not a bad guy. You aren’t. You’re athletic, funny, and you always look out for your friends. Even though you’re pretty selfish at times, that’s just part of you and your ‘charm’, as some people say. Hell, you gave up like months of your allowance just to buy her a gift and that makes you pretty romantic.”
“Alix-”
“You should really trust yourself more, Kim. It’s not that you’re not good enough for Chloé; it’s that you’re too good for her. That’s why the universe decided to make her reject you- because you deserve so much more than her and her stupidity.”
“Alix!”
“What?” The pink-haired rival snapped back with blazing eyes. Kim couldn’t help but give her a lopsided smile. He had calmed down because of her little rant, and he honestly just wanted to laugh at her rushed voice. He had gone through a rollercoaster of emotions from her quick speech, and it ended with him being quite happy with the way she described him. He took a deep breath, steadying his heartbeat and racking his brain for anything to say.
“Thank you, Alix.”
Now
Kim paid no mind to the blush on his cheeks or the way his heart sped up right after the rant with Alix a few weeks ago. He paid no mind to the way his eyes would single her out in a crowd or the way he would watch with a contented smile at his new acquaintance. He paid no mind to the way his voice rose a timbre higher when speaking to her or the way he missed their regular races together.
In fact, if Max hadn’t pointed out the fact that he had been staring at the tomboy for a while now, he wouldn’t have figured out that he had finally developed a crush on his rival. Cliché as it may be, he did.
Of course, he just had to face this feeling the way he knew he could- a race.
“Alix, I challenge you to a race!” he had proclaimed, loudly, on one sunny Wednesday. He watched her neutral expression shift into confusion and mild annoyance. He smirked slightly at her cute expression, and he was quite pleased with it actually.
“But didn’t we make a deal that you wouldn’t dare the school anymore if I had won the other race?”
“Yes, we did, but this is different. I’d like to make another bet this time- a bigger one.”
“Well, what is it then?”
Kim shot her a wider smirk, and he shifted his head, cockily. His heart was honestly beating so hard, but the adrenaline rush from all of it just kept him going.
“You have you accept my duel first, Alix.”
Alix narrowed her eyes at him, and she tried her best to deduce his actions. It wasn’t like she owed him anything, and it certainly wasn’t like Kim to make a bet over some petty little thing. Even though he liked to be in-control, he kept true to his words and bets. Well, it couldn’t hurt to try- besides, she was getting bored.
“Alright, you got me. I accept the duel, Kim.”
There was a slight gasp from the crowd of students that were close enough to overhear their conversation. Kim watched Alix’s coy face, and he put one on to become on par with her as well. He felt the entire world go silent as the blood rushed to his ears.
“Then, if I win, I’ll have to take you on a d-date!”
Kim watched Alix’s expression change to complete shock, and he couldn’t help but stifle a laugh at her attempt to hide her reddened face behind her hands. He heard surprised gasps and squeals come from the crowd. Before Alix could retort or complain, he let out the next string of words.
“The park. Four-thirty pm. I’ll be waiting.”
Kim turned away from her with a triumphant smile. He had decided- this was one race he wasn’t going to lose.
I take some kind of sick pleasure in reblogging things that will kill my girlfriend on the inside and I seem to be okay with it, so I'm not gonna question it.
