I don’t remember how many times I listened to this album but I know I liked it more and more every single time. #kikidee is the quintessential 60’s and 70’s #singersongwriter . In those times people were more aware of the power of words and storytelling. I’m not saying it’s not the case anymore, but, just look around you, the number one genre is #hiphop and contemporary hip hop strives on 808 drums, a melodic approach mainly done with auto tune and a compensation of the lyricisms with the #vibe , #theenergy , #thedrip . Whatever the method is, we all look for #thefeelgood whatever it’s through #words , #melodies or simply the #visuals and I believe This #vinylrecord contains all those #elements : The musicians, Her voice, the background vocals, the instrumentation, the collaborators, the sequencing and interpretation of the songs, for me ( I don’t know about the rest of y’all) it’s exactly what I expect from, at least a descent #country #rock #album . I love The songs ‘’rest my head’’ and ‘’sugar on the floor’’ but the part she got me when she covered French singer #Véronique esanson ‘s song ‘’Amoureuse’’...Definitely a great #musicalexperience. There’s so much I can say about this album but it’s not necessary just check it by yourself and let me know.
