Deep in my heart they are both so so intellectual like the desire to KNOW and UNDERSTAND is so fundamental in the both of them and I personally view it as one of the things that would bring them together in the end despite their complicated shared history. I love writing Stiles as a librarian/studying to be a librarian because he loves research SO MUCH. I headcanon the Steter arguments when they have a difference of opinion on lore or science or literally ANYTHING being so heated and intense that they literally get the cops called on them but by the time they arrive the two of them are in the middle of the nastiest makeup sex known to man. It is one of my biggest frustrations with the teen wolf canon that they decided to have Stiles join the FBI like. I truly hated that for him. YES he has great investigative skills but can you imagine?? Supernatural investigations led by Stiles and Peter?? SO GOOD. SOOOO GOOD.
