If you don't know, this weekend is Kikyo weekend! The theme is Aurora, and today's prompt is "Harmony & Unity" so this just felt fitting! I've had this sketch on the backburner for a few months now, and finally decided to finish it up for the occasion! It was really spontaneous, but I figured, why not?

I've been pondering when to unveil this ship, since I've been thinking about it for a while now, and I figured it was the perfect time!

Toshi and Kikyo being together was actually originally a joke between me and my friends about pairing InuKou's ex girlfriends but..... I don't think it's a joke anymore. (・・')ゞLMAO

I've actually been dropping teeny tiny hints about the concept for a while now, even if it's been super discreet! I think I've only had one be caught? The first one was all the way back in September, so it's definitely been a bit!

I don't have their story fully fleshed out quite yet, it's still being developed, even if I have a lot of ideas on how things would go, so I can't go too in depth it with them the moment, but I do plan to post more about them in the future, even if not as often as InuKou! They're just a little pair that'll pop up here and there. (๑˘︶˘๑) I find them to be an interesting duo with how they are as people and with their pasts, so I look forwards to delving into that more! For now? Here's some art!

We're back for our second annual Kikyo Weekend, dedicated to celebrating our tragic and elegant priestess.

This event will take place May 3rd - 5th.

The prompts for this year's 2024 event will be:

May 3rd: Rouge

Historically, rouge has been a color associated with youth and vigor, communicating innocence, acquiescence, and vitality; good luck and happiness; innocence of youth.

May 4th: Bow and Arrow

The bow and arrow are a reflection of life's journey, signifying direction, personal growth, and the relentless pursuit of goals; it symbolizes moving forward, new adventures, and curiosity; struggle and triumph.

May 5th: White Ribbon

White ribbons often show a need for simplicity and purity in life, especially since its often tied to trying to wipe out past trauma and cutting ties with the past; for someone who likes the job well done, who doesn't like clutter; purity of the soul.

As their souls rejoined each other to reformed into one, Kikyo can feel her soul being purity as she enter the stunned Kagome's body.
