The most frusturating thing about all the discourse I see is that so many people are arguing over who the main target of various forms of oppression is, or who has it worse, and to me that takes away from something a lot more productive and uniting: The different shape of oppression.

Here's the thing that's got me thinking about the shape of oppression at this particular moment.

I've used the term transandrophobia before and I've seen that it's a dogwhistle for some particularly bitchy kinds of folks who are trying to downplay transmisogyny, but at the same time, I haven't seen a different, less loaded term for the different ways that trans masc people experience their oppression.

Thing is, there are elements of transphobia that trans mascs experience that I sure don't. I remember the fucking tizzy that people got into over the term "Pregnant person". I ain't getting pregnant.

There's also the fact that trans women are treated like creepy nightmare creatures and trans men are treated like broken women and infantilized. These are tied to the exact same elements of patriarchical control and the demand to violently enforce an artifical gender binary, but the asshattery behaves differently, and can't really be countered by identical means.

By the way, if someone has a better term for "Transphobia that trans masc people have to face specifically", I am all ears!
