I don't view it as hate either, honestly. :/ It's just the natural progression of things.
i’m glad it’s not just me!! antagonists are written to be killed or taken down in the end. lucifer’s character arc has always been leading to one place, and that is either getting locked back in the cage or being killed for good. he’s not a protagonist, he was never written to receive a redemption arc, and i don’t think it’s hateful to recognize that. lucifer is an antagonist - arguably, the antagonist - and that simple fact dictates where his storyline will end.
