It has to be you. My real, permanent demise is at your hands. It's in Death's books. Yeah, well, you know what? Screw the books.

With so much talk of mysogony going on in the MCYT community, I want to add something to the conversation. The mysogony stems from so much more than yaoi, it’s been here in the queer community forever. Gay relationships have been talked about for much longer than lesbian relationships have been. Trans women (mtf) have been talked about for much longer than trans men (ftm) have been. Femboys are much more talked about than butch girls are. Drag queens are much more famous and talked about than drag kings or even female drag queens are.
When you think of queer relationships, majority of people will think about mlm. When there’s public outcry about trans people, it’s majority about trans women.
Not to mention BL stories/fanfics are much more popular than wlw ones, and I’m not trying to yuck your yum, but I ask you to just think about why you’re more interested in BL then WLW stories.
This part isn’t about Mcyt but their next part I feel is still important so I want to talk about it.
Mysogony is prevalent in a lot of communities online, but one where I have noticed it a lot in the Commentary YT community, not within the creators themselves, but within the fandom. Think of your favorite commentary YouTubers. Did you think of Danny Gonzolaz, Drew Gooden, Kurtis Connor, Eddy Burback or Jarvis Johnson? That doesn’t surprise me, if you did, because they’re the most popular commentators at the moment. But did you think of any women? Chad Chad? NotEvenEmily? SamWitch? Gabi Belle? FunkyFrogBait? Swoop? The commentary community is so oversaturated with men and women and non-males are much less talked about and less famous. Not to mention how much more hate female creators get than their male counterparts.
I am not saying I’m perfect, I too foamed at the mouth over Avoot (even though I didn’t rlly understand the ship at the time), I too mostly watch male commentary YouTubers, but I’m still supporting women. Hellfire is one of my all time favorite Mcyt ships, my first YouTubers I ever watched were StacyPlays and LDshadowlady, my all time favorite commentary YouTuber is ChadChad (her content is so peak please watch it), I rlly love watching drag queens, INCLUDING THE FEMALE ONES! (Sweet pickles is my favorite drag queen), most of my favorite ships have been either straight ones or wlw ones, and I read a lot of books with all different kinds of relationships including straight ones, gay ones, and lesbian ones.
It is not about only watching female content creators and only engaging in wlw ships, this is about treating women and non-men the same as you would men. Don’t discount a women’s idea simply because she’s a women. Don’t water down a wlw relationship in favor of a mlm ship.
If you are actively choosing to not support women, yet claim to be feminist, YOURE NOT A FEMINIST!
Happy women’s history month everyone.
sometimes i remember that sam and rowena never actually fucked in canon and like ykw. they shouldve. ik it wouldn't have helped and maybe actually made things worse considering sam was prophesied to be her true killer n all that but they still deserved to fuck nasty with crazy magic sex ok. mayb even invite gabe ik he wouldve been down for that. let sam have smth nice for once mayb his dick wont kill his gfs if theyre immortal
Rowena saw Sam's psychic gift and decided to teach him witchcraft
I really really love witchcraft as a way for Sam to tap into the 'monstrous' part of himself without going completely insane. Because throughout the series we see a lot more witches being bad than being good and they're grouped into the monster category (and are described as gross/have gross associations), and Sam is weird about his perceived cleaness as it relates to his goodness and he'd really really I'm so serious be so much better off if he was able to acknowledge and accept that he absolutely is a Freak™ as an inherent part of his personality and him being a student witch helps him with that in a way that doesn't feel threatening to his idea of being good(because he's using it for hunting and often saving people) but challenges the idea of being "clean" as being directly related to it
she‘s just helping because she‘s the only one who gets stuff done
