now ok good question. since im not going to write hyewon finding out about this, i can just tell you guys how it'd go. i'll be using second person bec it's easier:

had hyewon not been blindfolded, she'd have spotted you like the moment you stepped in

now hyewon's feelings towards you are a little complicated. she genuinely likes you and wants your friendship and respect. but she also knows there are benefits to befriending you and being in your circle. that can cloud her judgement when it comes to interacting with you.

she can have tendencies of a social climber but i don't think it's something totally awful. she isn't aggressive to you. she has her moments in general though. nothing too bad.

so in this situation, she'd base her reaction on yours.

if she sees that you're impressed by her audacity, she'd probably do it up and wouldn't stop.

when she sees that you were, in fact, horrified. she is too.

hyewon would probably stop and try to shield herself and jungkook from your view and apologise profusely. because she knows it's a public place and she isn't entitled to using it as her own. she'd hold on to her boyfriend for security.

ig you could also say she's a bit of a people pleaser too?

and had they stopped, jungkook would still be staring you down, watching closely for your reaction as his girlfriend apologises to you repeatedly.

you'd also control your expressions a bit more now that hyewon can see you too. no frowny faces. just a poker face after the initial horror and mortification.

This is all so interesting, cause the ig profiles tell me that oc is a materialistic high maintenance girlie but she owns it and doesn't seek attention. while Hyewon pretends to not be materialistic but she secretly is,she enjoys receiving luxury gifts and fawns over what oc has,all while wanting attention and publicly flaunting her lifestyle and vacations 💀

I wonder if Jungkook will come to see this,because for someone to hate attention and claim to hate materialistic people like oc,he sure is dating one hell of a secretly materialistic person who's also a social climber and show off. YKW you're probably the first person to actually acknowledge this about oc and hyewon's 'friendship.' i had been waiting since chapter 2 for someone to being this up!!

hyewon practically forces herself on oc every time, and exaggerates her relationship with oc to her boyfriend. this leads jk to think that oc and hyewon are actually friends. so he keeps referring to oc as hyewon's friend, and hyewon doesn't correct him because she wants it to be true.

noww with that being said, the other thing about oc openly being herself is true as well! we all know this. she loves having pretty things. howeverrr!!! hyewon's not quite the same. like ofc, everyone wants pretty things, and hyewon does too, and she doesn't pretend to not enjoy it. she obviously does. but not the the extent that oc does.

i don't know if i've talked about this in an ask or written this in the story (😬 sorry) but hyewon would rather buy herself things than have jungkook buy it for her. in chapter 7, the necklace is one of the few things hyewon accepted from jungkook. she feels uncomfortable otherwise, even though that's h3r boyfriend. and we'll get into that later. + she makes smart decisions for herself. being associated with jk comes with a lot of perks and cons. she makes good use of the platform she finds herself on. and i don't think there's anything wrong with that! if she wants to be open with people/share her pretty pretty life, that's her right.

Killah oc is giving niche it girl that everyone has on their moodboard. I assumed her not having as many followers as the others was bc her account is private or something lol. She gives vibe of baddie that lowk uses pinterest as her main public social media hence why she is on everyone's moodboard.

I imagine her making her insta public, or one of her friends reposting her and boosting going super viral for her aesthetic and style !!!!

Funny thing is a expected that for hyewon, not the it girl part no shade, but the having a few hundred followers and her account private but she gives normal girl with a following (positive) (shocking i know) she doesn't give influencer to me despite having thousands of followers, at least to me

people know of oc because of her mother, a real estate developer. everyone in the story is a socialite except for one recurring character, sua (the woman oc befriends at her workplace.)

oc is just more careful about whom she allows into her life. she's social, fairly extroverted but still private.

i think it comes up in the story how people often used her for her status, money and connections which is why she's had a hard time building actual friendships that stick. its also why she doesn't care for romantic relationships. naturally, she's got a decent radar for this stuff now.

her circle is small. she trusts and loves her friends. and logan.

oc likes instagram and treats it like her scrapbook/journal. so it's only open to people she knows.

she loves fashion and people know that about her bec she shows up at as many fashion events as she can, big and small. (haven't discussed this in the story much tho, apart from the major fashion weeks)

for oc, hyewon does not come through as authentic. oc finds her overbearing and not that interesting.

according to oc, the most interesting thing about hyewon was her boyfriend.

now let's get to hyewon!

(tbh this could be a good insight into jungkook as well) hyewon does not have the same family background as any of the other characters (except jungkook.) both hyewon and jungkook have gotten where they are rn purely through hard work and some luck. they've socialized and fought for their seats at the table.

jungkook's a lot more popular for whatever reason, it's all in the story blablabla. and hyewon is very perceptive of this.

it's a huge advantage for hyewon to be publically associated with jungkook.

this does not mean she doesn't love him and is using him. she's just making the best out of the situation.

hyewon's not a stupid person. she's academically smart and driven. she knows what it takes to get to that level.

by having her own instagram presence, hyewon's making a name for herself as a separate entity. she curates her image for the audience. so she isn't just that impressive woman that works at XYZ or jungkook's girlfriend. ofc she still occasionally posts jungkook (which unintentionally caters to certain demographics) bec he's her man and all.

you could say she's a bit of a social climber? but not in a catty or bad way? it's just her instinct atp.

so, for hyewon, befriending oc is highly advantageous. she'll have access to a whole new world. or that's what she believes. again, this doesn't mean she doesn't genuinely like oc.

im actually shocked how Jungkook’s girlfriend in kilah directly told him how she wanted to use oc and all he does is say “do you want me to talk to her” and feels guilty? like what the actual fuck this is why I hate broke ppl (im one myself lmfao) bc they always think they can use rich ppl for their own benefit but once they get the taste of their own medicine it’s “why are you so mad at me?” i fr wanna punch his gf in the face for her fuck ass attitude sorry not sorry

i don't think hyewon ever meant (or even said) she wanted to use oc, she only said she wanted to take advantage of oc's interest in her boyfriend and get closer to her!!

and then hyewon talks about how she wishes he wouldnt reciprocate (friendship wise obvi) and ykw i would not take it so seriously 🤔 she just got publicly screamed at by oc (now i'm noticing i used this storyline two too many times, yikes) for reasons she wasn't even reallY responsible for and emotions are running high for eVeryone

maybe both oc and hyewon have good reasons to be upset at eachother idkk 🤷‍♀️
