that's some strong anchor...heh. and in case you weren't aware, welcome to the Full 180. all the planets are sharing one side of the sun right now. we entered this planetary pattern a few days ago, and it will last for about 50 more. so enjoy the ride, and make sure you go out and look up one of these nights because you'll be able to see almost all of our neighbors, except Uranus, Neptune and Pluto (yes, Pluto is still a planet, fight me on this! ha) it also brings heightened seismic activity (which we've already had) and strange weather patterns...so be careful out there, too. and for what it's worth, Mars went retrograde at the end of June, Mercury's going retrograde in a few days, the full moon (Buck Moon) on July 27th is also a total lunar eclipse (aka Blood Moon), AND it's going to be a micro full moon, to boot! exciting times, friends. keep this in mind when the people around you are acting way weirder than normal. heh. now if everyone could remember to lean to the right, it might help offset the slight pull in the turn...(or is it the left?)

Connemara & Kylemore Abbey Photos

This post is a long time coming. Two weekends ago, I had the chance to do a day tour of Connemara and Kylemore Abbey. It was absolutely beautiful, and it was my first solo trip anywhere outside of Galway since I’ve been here. All in all, it was a wonderful day. If you’re ever in Ireland and have the chance to explore Connemara, I would definitely recommend it. The landscape was beautiful, though not as green as I had expected.

Killary Fjord in Lenane! The pub we stopped at had AMAZING Irish coffee

At Kylemore Abbey (under construction during the winter season, unfortunately). It was originally built by by Mitchell and Margaret Henry after they fell in love with Connemara on their honeymoon, and was bought by the Duke and Duchess of Manchester in 1903. After the death of the Duchess’s father, Eugene Zimmerman, the pair lacked sufficient funds to maintain the estate and left in 1914. In 1920, a group of nuns who’s abbey in Ypres was destroyed during World War 1 opened Kylemore as an abbey, and along with it a school for girls that operated until 2010.
