Marie had scarlet fever when she was five and she said that the illness caused her to have learning disabilities.
She had a c section after her last child, and during the procedure she suffered a uterine rupture and underwent a hysterectomy.
Marie says that she suffocated four of her children and that she can't recall what happened to the other four.
Marie suffers from mixed-personality disorder and Munchausen syndrome by proxy.
Research on SIDS was lead in the wrong direction for years due to Marie's children. They were wasting time researching the deaths of Marie's children, thinking they died from SIDS, when in reality they were being murdered.
Arthur, Marie's husband, stuck by her side and always said that she was innocent.
Marie killed more of her own children than any other serial killer in American history.
