Killer and Healer Eng Subs all episodes uncut + Happy Ending

Hello everyone. I saw this C-Drama and became totally obsessed with it. You can watch it completely on YT but sadly the sound is missing partly and there are also deleted scenes missing. (For my own sake) I wanted to make a version which is easy to watch and included everything - of course the happy ending, too.

I took the subtitles from YT, which means all grammar mistakes etc are included (it’s just too many and, honestly, some are just too funny to miss) and put them on top of the chinese ones so that they are covered. It’s hardsub so you can’t turn them off. I tried my best to cut in all the deleted and longer scenes (this post helped me a lot!) in a more or less smooth way. The Happy ending is edited by myself but pretty much the same as the one MangoTV offered, I just wanted to make it blend in better. 

My Laptop isn’t the most modern and I tried my best to make the files small, the quality isn’t as good as YT but it’s still 1280x720p and in MP4. In the end I just wanted an easy-to-access-version with everything included for a good (re)watch.

Notes: The subtitles will not always 100% align, especially in EP6, I’m sorry for that but it would have been way too much work to time it all. However, most of the time they will cover the chinese ones and it should be comfortable to watch. Sometimes they are a little off in the beginning, don’t get irritated by that. Blame the person who made the YT subs :,) Also, sorry if there are any random or sudden cuts, if there are any.

i really was waiting for a happy ending, but this ending makes me feel like...sometimes justice means lose to gain, but I am still realy sad, this show gets me depressed in a easy way hehehe it's really a great show... forgive my bad english...

So many parallels between #TheDevilJudge and that other magnificent 2021 Asian“Bromance”#KillerAndHealer.

Down to the ending scene with both couples staring heart-eyes at each other from a distance, just because 💁🏽‍♂️

Captivating plot, savage twists, well-drawn female villains, criminal masterminds, men who would die for the man they love. Intimate touches, emotional hugs, caresses - lots. Both couples look after a daughter together and care for a fat white cat

Both leads are lawmen on a radical course to deliver justice in lawless times, irreversibly changing the lives of all who love them. Their love stories begin in conflict because of differing moral visions about justice and the value of human life

Both leading men’s psyches are profoundly shaped by shared themes: trauma as child orphans; daddy issues; cruel injustice; found family. These all inform their sense of responsibility to defend and protect the weak-by any means necessary

All the BL literacies - codes that empower BL fans to “queer” normative romance tropes, were present, providing cascades of “moe”. The way the male leads’ character arcs explicitly target their evolving masculinity especially in the way they treat women as equals, is to be applauded.

Female villains are the other significant characters to get the BL treatment in The Devil Judge and Killer And Healer. Compellingly drawn, with a supreme sense of their own righteous power, they exercise bold, autonomous choices, including knowing when to withdraw from the game

Is there anything left to say about the 🔥🔥 chemistry between the touchy-feely leads whose only weakness is one man? Killer And Healer and The Devil Judge master what is often neglected in more explicit contemporary BLs, that much of the power of liveaction BL is in leaving room for imagination

Killer And Healer has the edge because unrequited female love is well handled - unambiguously and elegantly allowing the woman to continue her own journey, dignity and agency intact. Killer And Healer mlm couples are devoted to the men they love with no narrative deviation

Both are original screenplays BL fans loved so much they demanded the continuation of these amazing characters in their lives. The Devil Judge got a Manhwa.

Killer And Healer got a Canon Novel, an Audio Drama and an Official Post-Finale 26-min video with the explicit scenes that were too gay for censors

Is it still Asian BL if a series is marketed to BL fans but is totally male gazey? There are 3 signifiers of the male gaze: 1. the Decision-makers behind the camera, 2. the Characters on screen, 3. the Viewers being addressed. In 2022 BL we can add 4. who is Financing whose gaze?

The female gaze is defined as empathetic rather than objectifying. Where men seek to look At a person, the female gaze looks through a man, not focusing on his body, but on his character, to his soul. Providing a view into a man’s soul requires greater talent than removing his shirt

Why the vast difference between the emotions of series created in the female gaze? The focus on eyes tells us something about the extent of the vision. The male gaze focuses on Looking AT someone, while the female gaze focuses on Seeing a Person

If plotted on a graph, which of the current crop of BL series, that disappointed and frustrated even the most dedicated fans at the end, focus on generating emotion from Looking At men rather than Seeing men?

I’ve been thinking of creating these graphs myself but an even more important but ignored feature about the current crop of big BLs is - what’s the big money behind BLs paying for, whose vision gets the biggest cheque, whose gaze are financiers most invested in seeing validated? Is the big money going behind the most progressive visions in BL or disproportionately allocated to familiar dysfunction?

I don’t know all the answers but despite fandom hype, passionate fan loyalty to faves, and fan positivity for “it will get better after episode 5”, new creator and viewer demographics mean new imperatives that result in the narrative changing on and offscreen. What we know now…

4 Western fan preferences are prominent
