Hysteria was often frustrated growing up knowing that Nightmare's word was always final, not that she ever publicly expressed the sentiment though. As a child she would direct her pent up anger more towards Killer since he never bothered to defend her either despite being the "nicer" parent.
In her teens, Hysteria's anger evolved into pity after realizing why Killer never attempted to stand up to Nightmare.
Even then, that pity would ultimately come to betray her.
Meet Wisteria! The beloved daughter of Killer and Nightmare!
she's 16 years old, and is 5'7!!
(Shorter than Nightmare, taller then Killer.)
Personality wise, she's rather introverted!
She much prefers to be without the presence of others, or rather with only her parents, and when in a crowd she'll conceal herself behind them with her shawl pulled over her skull to further hide.
She also has some underlining anxiety she can't quite help, especially when it leaves her more frazzled then she'd like.
Wisteria is quite the bookworm as well, and enjoys joining her father in his grand library to read together in comfortable silence.
Nightmare compares her behavior to his younger uncorrupted self, and has some contradicting feelings about it, as well as her appearance to match.
{+}
She stands pretty lean, wearing clothing that more so drapes to conceal her body then hug tightly.
Her style of clothing is more comfortable, loose, and overall a little more girly with long flowing skirts, frilly tops, and long sleeves that cover her palms.
She likes to accessorize, often keeping herself warm with a shawl around her shoulders, her circlet crown, with a few necklaces or bracelets to match.
Her soul is special in its own way, more flat and stitched in appearance like Killer's target soul, however it gives the look of an upside down heart that's been warped to give the look of an apple, an apple like Nightmare's soul. It sits the same way as Killer's, floating in front of her chest naturally in that soft plum color of her magic.
Ever since she was just a toddler, her tendrils tended to have a mind of their own most of the time, and feeding from her growing anxiety as a young teen, she doesn't have much control over them like her father does with his own.
They'll often get tangled and tied together because of how slim and long they are, not to mention sticking as her magic has yet to stabilize fully to allow her goop a more solid form.
Wisteria doesn't seem like the type to know how to fight, but she does! She's learned how to handle a blade with perfect precision just like her dad, alongside the use of telekinetic magic to throw things at opponents.
However, because of her magic still not fully stable, she has yet to be able to use her own tendrils for combat, or be able to aim with perfect precision when levitating heavy objects.
Literally her theme: Wisteria Waltz
This was the first concept/drawing i did of her before finalizing it <3
I hope to go more into her!! She's very precious to me <3
Here's my cameo characters for Blue's April Fools event! Cassie, Cammie, and Demilune will be hiding in the background, so look for them when the full thing is done! Andromeda and Eclipse will be there, too, but no sneak peeks of them.
I would like to know how Hysteria feels about Skinner's beef with Minx ☝️
a bueno, si insistes /lh
the truth is Hysteria doesn't feel anything regarding the beef because she doesn't even know it's happening! This due in part to Minx making sure of it.
Minx doesn't realize it but meeting Hysteria's friends makes her feel small in comparison, but in her mind this just enhances the incentive to get personally closer to Hysteria. Skinner especially doesn't help with how often he belittles and makes note of her being out of place (cause technically, she is. everyone there carries a death toll except her). His dislike for her also builds up into a personal motive by then.
I've mentioned before that Minx can't often read the room when it comes to hostility being geared towards her, it's especially hard to read someone like Skinner who uses sarcasm, an apathetic demeanor and his smile to mask his real intentions. Whilst he's outright said and spelled it out for Minx that he wants nothing to do with her, he does take time out of his day to still mess with and stalk her.
Despite this, Minx still attempts to friend Skinner as she subconsciously believes (but doesn't want to admit) in order to get close to Hysteria she has to befriend and get close to her friends as well. She knows because of Skinner, that if Hysteria finds out abt his harassment he'd get punished and possibly "killed" (exaggeration on Skinner's part). Minx who feels for him and doesn't want to be responsible for someone's death, in turn doesn't snitch allowing Skinner to basically do what he wants within reason. Skinner also makes an effort to not be seen publicly being a nuisance to Minx and especially knows he can't kill her directly.
Consequently, leaving Hysteria in the dark from all this.
Note: Minx canonically doesn't fear Skinner, which he hates and indirectly finds offensive. Incidentally she latched onto him due to the evident lack of intimacy between him and the group, she finds him off-putting at worst and pitiful at best. So Minx just happens to be able to endure his antics leaving Skinner with the impression that she's doing this on purpose to ragebait him into killing her.

Nightmare shoved Crescent away from his desk, prying his pen from the child's small hands. The eight-year-old screeched, grabbing at the pen, tears welling in his eyes. "NOoOOO!! Give it back!!!" Nightmare grit his teeth to keep from throwing his son across the room. Killer had gotten mad last time.
"Shut up, and go to your room! I'm too busy to deal with this shit!" Crescent went quiet immediately, eyes wide and mouth open. He pointed at Nightmare, eyelights bright and accusing as he shouted, "Mare said a bad word!!!"
Nightmare hissed, pushing Crescent back again, "Shut up! I told you to leave!" Crescent giggled, stepping away and running off. "Shit! Shit! Mare said shit!!" The boy continued to chant as he ran through the castle hallways. He ran until he crashed into someone. Crescent gave a loud "oof!", wobbling back and falling onto his behind. He smiled at the new person, hopping to his feet.
"Hello! Who're you?" The new person smiled back, crouching and patting Crescent's head. "Hello, child. I'm Dream." Crescent blinked and pointed at him, "You're Mare's bro!" Dream tilted his head, confused, "Yes, I am. How'd you know that? And 'Mare'? Who are you?" Crescent grabbed Dream's hand, "Follow me!"
Dream yelped, stumbling after the child as the boy started running back the way he came. He picked up on his chant, to let Nightmare know he was coming back. Dream cried out at this, his eyes wide as Crescent shouted the curse word. "Shit! Shit! Mare! I'm bringing you someone! Shit!" A door slammed somewhere. Dream tripped, startled, when the boy stopped running. He'd brought Dream to Nightmare's study.
Crescent knocked vigorously, tugging on the door handle as he called, "Mare! Mare! I brought Dream!" There was a shouted cursing, and Crescent's eyes grew large and round as he softly repeated the words. "Fuck off... Fuck off!" He cackled, pulling harder on the door. "Fuck off! Shit! Motherfucker!" Dream covered his mouth, his own eyes wide with horrified shock. He knelt, tapping on Crescent's shoulder. The child spun around, "Yeah?" Dream was frowning. "You can't say those words."
"But why not? Mare says them all the time, and I like saying them!" Dream shook his head, "But you're a kid, and he's grown up. You can't curse like that." Crescent pouted, puffing his chest out, "I'm grown up! I can say bad words like dadmare!" He slapped his hands over his mouth, blinking rapidly.
He dropped them after a moment, restating himself. "I can say bad words like Mare! See look!" He sucked in a huge breath, and shouted as loud as he could, "MOTHERFUCKER!! SHIT!! FUCK!! BITCH! CUNT!!" Dream yelled in dismay, "Okay! Okay, you're grown up, but stop saying those words." Crescent beamed, and skipped back to the door.
He tried the door handle, finding that it was still locked. He huffed, upset, before he jumped and beamed. "Mister, do you have some pins? Like the ones for making hats?" Dream shrugged, "No, but I can make some." His magic lit up, and he passed the newly made knitting needles to Crescent. "Thank you!" Dream sighed. At least he had manners.
Crescent hummed to no particular song, jamming the needles into the door lock. Dream's jaw dropped when, a minutes later, Crescent tossed the needles back and opened the door. "Come on!" Dream didn't move when he was pulled, only staring at the child in shock. "Mister Dream?"
Dream threw his hands over his head, his eyes wide. "Where did you learn to pick a lock from?! You are eight years old."
