Murk doodles + some Mene lore

Mene, while an animated soul for the most part, is inherently lonely. With Murk constantly traveling and the Serial Family essentially wanting nothing to do with her she's left alone in the manor constantly with her thoughts and questions. The death of Hysteria and following Cato' took a toll on everyone, especially the Serial Family leaving them in no condition to take care of Mene as she grew up. She was raised but she was raised in a "forced" way, where no one really wanted to spend time with her or rather didn't know how. Information regarding the past or her parents were never passed down to Mene consequentially being the only one left in the dark. The only people who'd talk to her were Murk, her uncle Sins, and Minx; All people who don't live in/visit the manor often leaving her with more questions than answers. Despite this, she never truly allows herself to feel upset as she didn't want to seem ungrateful and instead continuously puts on a façade as to not seem more of a burden.

One day; Nightmare, who is able to communicate through the seal's crack, speaks out to his grandchild having been watching her through his prison knows that she seeks familiarity. Nightmare whom was conscious and had observed for years since being sealed away, is able to provide information regarding his daughter Hysteria and her boyfriend Cato further enticing his grandchild. Mene rationalizing her choice, agrees to secretively talk to him through the glass when they can, as she knows the seal isn't to be removed from the box without supervision (not that she knows why though).

Months later after much conversation, Nightmare confesses (part of) his past mistakes to Mene and how much he regretted not being able to make up with Hysteria. He pleads to be heard, to be worn again, this time to be there for his kin. Nightmare emphasizes how he is the only one who can truly nurture and guide Mene and notes how much he wants this to be his first step towards his redemption, his second chance.

I can't see Hysteria and Cato ever canonically having children if they were to get together but if they did it'd probably be on complete accident. Do with that information what you will

I don't know what their ages would be, maybe early 20's for Mene and early 30's for Murk. They would both reside in Hysteria's inherited manor. Both parents deceased by the time Mene is born and would be raised by The Serial Family onwards. Mene lives cooped up in the manor refusing to leave and relies on Murk's intel, Murk is a free spirit and roams the multiverse as a religious vigilante (?.

Murk facts:

- Can't see glass, often breaks into windows when dramatically gliding with their cape into the manor. You'll almost never see them use the front door. - Can only drink Milk, can't stomach any other beverage. - Forgetful and will often repeat their last thought. - Living on constant borrowed time they die constantly and sometimes in stupid ways, they use a bastardized version of Ascension religion (learned through their uncle Sins) to uphold their immortality through ritualistic sacrifice. (Murk seemingly kills animals only, which is why their livespan is often short) Like their parent, Cato, they too can store souls in their gaster blaster skull - Religious. Believes in God and journeys across the multiverse using his sense for negativity in aims to spread the gospel of ascension. More often than not he generally accepts missionary work in the name of God

Mene facts:

- Agoraphobic, spends most of time inside the manor. - Fastidious and tidy, Spends most of her time cleaning/organizing the manor and convinces themselves to roleplay as the manor's butler. It's her favorite past time activity (everyone thinks its odd but nobody really does anything about it). - Inherited Cato's stupid sense of humor, would laugh at 69. Tends to be eccentric and overly dramatic. Can often be convinced of anything if it involves roleplay. - Mene is also immortal but without the need of borrowed souls, unlike Murk she purposely "kills herself" for comedic relief although to her surprise every time nobody laughs. - Mene is made of the same substance her grandfather Nightmare and Hysteria were, however because she never developed properly part of her is constrained to the mask and can reshape her body however she pleases. - Their gaster blaster has no eyes

⋆ Ace is a reserved, short-tempered sarcastic guy who's never enjoyed the company of anyone that wasn't his sister lacking him crucial social skills growing up. Ace was always a scrapper apparent by the fighting/harassment he endured, he found himself hating school as well as the fact he wasn't good at it even more. Getting himself into constant trouble and eventually dropping out led to an unfortunate serious of events that ended with him becoming homeless for approximatively 3 or 4 months before he was unintendedly recruited by The Houndzars. Ace has since then become a stern leader in charge of a small branch of the Houndzars dubbed "Pups" by Jane. Constantly trying to prove himself worthy to be a Houndzar, He takes his job often too seriously compared to his coworkers making his life all the more difficult on top of already being forced to congregate with others.

Ace constantly fights his adapted instincts to save himself when leading his group, stirring up conflicting emotions/decisions and learning to regulate himself after every fight. He generally has trouble consoling people let alone people younger than him so he finds himself constantly stressed with his group. Although Ace wont admit it, he's bonded well with Violet since his arrival and often looks out for the kid not only because he was tasked to but seeing part of himself in Violet, Ace hopes he really can guide him towards a bright future.

⋆ Ace's favorite dessert is any color or flavor of tiny cupcakes with sprinkles, ⋆ Ace's favorite music genre is rock and grunge, he's a casual rap fan as well. ⋆ Ace inherited fire magic from both his parents, however because he's never learned how to control it he constrained himself to hand-to-hand combat and ranged weapons. ⋆ Ace's body is made entirely out of fire made to mimic fur when undisturbed, it's harmless to touch in it's neutral state but can be dangerous to approach when it stands up. ⋆ Ace is pyrokinetic and can control small pre-existing fire sources allowing him to create a flamethrower with the lighter he carries at all times. And while ya undertale oc likes the transformers movie.

I'd like to think if anyone would be into Transformers it would be Violet, Jane and Sylfaen but all from different generations.

Violet would be more into the modern transformers; like TF: One, MTMTE, Animated, and Rescue Bots. Jane would be more into live action movies/early 2000's like Bayverse, Armada, IDW and TFP. Sylfaen would be a G1 purist who lowkey enjoys Bayverse and WILL deny it.

As for my tf ocs, i think only Skitters and Buckshot would like Undertale but Skitters is a casual and Buckshot would've been deep in theories, speedruns and fandom in general.

Sylfaen and Buckshot would have the funniest interaction as Sylfaen would look at Buckshot in semi-disgust at his complicated semi-kibbleless design and Buckshot would be weirded out by Sylfaen's resemblance to Asgore (Buckshot's favorite characters would probably be the Dreemurrs, Sans and Alphys).

They'd immediately start hating on each other after staring in absolute silence for at least 5 minutes

When I Hear Music, It makes me dance

Cato enjoyed dancing if they were invited to, especially to older songs within the 50's-90's. Otherwise, they would rarely initiate. They often used dance as a way to have meaningful conversations, even if no words were spoken during the dance as following the other person's rhythm and adapting to their style was sometimes enough. Some spoke to him during, some didn't. Either way, Cato listened whether it was the voice coming from the person or the record. If they were good at anything at all, it was listening.

Songs describing some sort of love or heartbreak were some of his favorite music to listen to, he adored heartfelt music before his ideal view of romance was crushed as he grew older.

Current Cato however cant stand the sound of music anymore as it all sounds like unintelligible chaotic noise to them. At best he finds most sounds annoying to listen to, at worst they freak out specifically if OLDER songs are played near them and will do anything to get rid of the noise. Hysteria found this out the hard way and restricted music from being played in the manor since then, despite it being an off putting rule nobody in the Serial Family cared enough to question it.

A good example of what Cato on the average hears when listening to music is L1 Advanced plaque entanglements - The Caretaker (Stage 5) (tw: EXTREMELY unsettling/loud sounds. PLEASE read the ABOUT section in this link if you don't want to listen.)

fun fact relating to the previous ask: Hysteria can't swim nor does she want to as she detests large bodies of water, even pools make her anxious. She also always covers up her body in the sun, if she's rarely ever in it, partially being because of Nightmare lying to her as a kid saying it would melt her (and specifically her) if she dared ever show skin.

Hysteria also just generally hates the sun cause of the heat and its annoyingly hard on her already sensitive eyes.

Surprisedly they appear in my dreams. Idk why but basically they fight off this huge caterpillar which..idfk.

what a unique dream! I'm surprised they're even manifesting in your dreams in the first place. I think Hysteria would clutch her pearls at the sight of a caterpillar, let alone handling a giant one... but that's what Cato and Minx are for I imagine.

The Dreemurr's

Ace Towne Dreemurr and Kero Sean Dreemurr, born to Grillby and Sylfaen Dreemurr were extremely close, practically inseparable growing up. Their one year age gap (Kero being the oldest) allowed them to do almost everything together with Ace constantly learning from Kero. Ace was considered an introverted loner loser who's only companion was his sister, and he preferred to keep it that way. He dreaded being approached and the idea of friends, so for most of his life he constantly hovered over Kero following her wherever she went and doing whatever she did. Ace had no issue accommodating to his sister's activities, he did whatever she wanted as long as she was happy.

Since starting school Ace always made sure to be a part of Kero's schedule through her classes, He admired his sister dearly he'd join her curriculums despite his dislike for school. However that indefinitely changed starting Middle School when Kero was placed in advanced classes, forcing Ace to be removed since he couldn't keep up. He hadn't realized then just how different they were despite his attempt to follow in her footsteps, the sudden change demoralized Ace but acted unaware for his sister's sake. During this time, Kero became fascinated with Law and began pursuing her dream to become a lawyer early on. When she told Ace about it, she joked saying she could continue keeping him out of trouble as adults.

The rift between them only became bigger following Highschool as Ace and Kero's schedules became incompatible, alongside the fact Kero would graduate earlier than her brother.

Ace began failing school as he became lazy and incompetent, only good for getting into trouble. Kero knew about her brother's temper since they were kids and was seemingly the only person patient enough to deal with it. It only worsened as kids at school constantly antagonized Ace, and despite attacking back in self defense he'd often be framed as the aggressor by adults due to his size and the aftermath Ace's victims were left. Kero, who use to be able to bail Ace out of whatever trouble he was starring in, was either busy during these confrontations or out of school. Ace would often return home with bruising and/or a note from the teachers, leaving her mortified and constantly scolding him on behalf of their parents.

Grillby and Sylfaen were constantly working late since their kids started highschool so they didn't often get a chance to be involved as much in their kids' routines. However, as soon as they started getting phone calls from school regarding Ace, Sylfaen enforced daily late night family meetings/talks with the kids that evolved into an intervention for Ace. Ace hated every second of it and felt he was being looked down upon simply because he couldn't control his emotions, he didn't enjoy the predicament he was in either despite what every adult in his life thought. Sylfaen didn't help much as he would compare the siblings to each other rubbing salt into Ace's already fractured ego.

Without Kero to look after him since she tried to focus on graduating, Ace began skipping school to avoid the harassment and as to not involve his sister further and possibly ruin her future chances at law school by association. Despite being depressed knowing Kero would eventually leave for college, he encouraged her daily and affirmed that she was making the right choice. Eventually, his absences piled up and Ace dropped out from school leading up to a dreadful anxious wait for his parents to come home that day, which shockingly was the one day they decided to come home early. An explosive argument was had between Ace and Sylfaen. Overwhelmed with frustration, heartbreak and mostly fear, Ace fled his home.

As far as his family is aware, Ace has been missing for 7 years since.

Dress

Hysteria was often frustrated growing up knowing that Nightmare's word was always final, not that she ever publicly expressed the sentiment though. As a child she would direct her pent up anger more towards Killer since he never bothered to defend her either despite being the "nicer" parent.

In her teens, Hysteria's anger evolved into pity after realizing why Killer never attempted to stand up to Nightmare.

Even then, that pity would ultimately come to betray her.

Ace prefers drinking room temperature water, he especially hates if it’s served with ice.

Ambrose knows how to drive without a permit and which corner stores don’t ask for ID to purchase alcohol.

Cato has never seen their own reflection, they have one but they themselves have never stood in a mirror and seen it. Current Cato struggles with being perceived in general.

Cyroton is really into cosplay since their faceplate allows them to steal the face of anyone or thing he scans.

Fantasía and (variant) Lux were close due to their line of work but seemingly had a falling out after Fantasìa became a messenger for the Guardians of The Multiverse, since then Fantasìa refuses to acknowledge Lux all together.

Fins knows how to make makeshift weapons from practically anything, they’re generally not allowed to though.

Grime is extremely good at forging signatures and would often steal the identity of men she killed.

Hunter can chew on and eat any kind of metal, just.. prefers not to.

Hysteria has a fake British accent she adapted from reading human english books, she slowly started incorporating it when she was a teenager. Nightmare absolutely hated it but like Killer, assumed it was just a phase (it was not).

Kero is really into stuffed animals and trinkets that she buys and has displayed in her Attorney office despite not having the budget for them…

Malpractice has a high pain tolerance and can’t physically intoxicate herself. She’s disappointingly immune to any and every poison but claims to get a “high” off of dissection.

Minx has hemophobia, but she's miraculously never been injuried growing up.

Nancy use to play basketball as a kid till her last year of high school due to her being able to jump unnaturally high given her half rabbit genes. She still sucked at it though due to constant tripping.

Order can talk extremely rapidly and reversed, they can also manipulate their vocal cords enough to mimic the voices of other people.

Seam knows a few card and magic tricks, they’ve only ever shown a selective few.

Sins can sing high notes and knows how to play the piano, he prefers signing/playing choir music above all else (if ever)

Skinner has an enhanced sense of smell making him particularly sensitive to certain odors like perfume or blood. It's also how he's able to track his victims

Violet used to be really good at math, it was the only subject in school he was consistent in.

Vision is able to place runes similar to the one in their left eye where they want and observe the surrounding area from across the multiverse within 75 meters as long as the rune isn't destroyed.

I would like to know how Hysteria feels about Skinner's beef with Minx ☝️

the truth is Hysteria doesn't feel anything regarding the beef because she doesn't even know it's happening! This due in part to Minx making sure of it.

Minx doesn't realize it but meeting Hysteria's friends makes her feel small in comparison, but in her mind this just enhances the incentive to get personally closer to Hysteria. Skinner especially doesn't help with how often he belittles and makes note of her being out of place (cause technically, she is. everyone there carries a death toll except her). His dislike for her also builds up into a personal motive by then.

I've mentioned before that Minx can't often read the room when it comes to hostility being geared towards her, it's especially hard to read someone like Skinner who uses sarcasm, an apathetic demeanor and his smile to mask his real intentions. Whilst he's outright said and spelled it out for Minx that he wants nothing to do with her, he does take time out of his day to still mess with and stalk her.

Despite this, Minx still attempts to friend Skinner as she subconsciously believes (but doesn't want to admit) in order to get close to Hysteria she has to befriend and get close to her friends as well. She knows because of Skinner, that if Hysteria finds out abt his harassment he'd get punished and possibly "killed" (exaggeration on Skinner's part). Minx who feels for him and doesn't want to be responsible for someone's death, in turn doesn't snitch allowing Skinner to basically do what he wants within reason. Skinner also makes an effort to not be seen publicly being a nuisance to Minx and especially knows he can't kill her directly.

Consequently, leaving Hysteria in the dark from all this.

Note: Minx canonically doesn't fear Skinner, which he hates and indirectly finds offensive. Incidentally she latched onto him due to the evident lack of intimacy between him and the group, she finds him off-putting at worst and pitiful at best. So Minx just happens to be able to endure his antics leaving Skinner with the impression that she's doing this on purpose to ragebait him into killing her.
