Personally she had lost all concept of time hours ago, if it hadn't been for the annoying clock on the wall, painfully reminding her of the time that has passed already. Sleep wouldn't come, how could it? Killian Jones lay pale against the pillows, his face drained of blood in a stark contrast to his dark hair, scratches looking angry, swollen, painful. His face looked almost peaceful if it hadn't been for those scratches, if it hadn't been for what lay underneath his hospital gown: severe injuries that could still take his life, if he let it happen. And damn this pirate if he did. She'd find a way to bring him back, skin and kill him again, just for making her endure all of this. Emma had spent hours by his bedside already, almost an entire day, if you counted the accident in and of course surgery and the one moment where he seemed to want to die on her. She remembered the panic, the fear of having to witness his death, after everything. It made her frustration grow and not having slept didn't exactly help it either.Emma reached out for his hand again, shifting slightly in the hard plastic chair, which made the scrubs she wore rustle again. How she hated that sound now. "Come on, wake up. I don't have all day."As if. She was just proving herself wrong after all. She had already spent the better part of a day by his side, hoping he'd wake up soon, wanting him to at least have a familiar face by his side and then punch him for doing this to her!! Her thumb traced soft circles against the back of his hand, without her having to even think about it. "You and cars, what's it with you getting hit by cars? Why not bikes, or doors, or flying pigs? Just not... by cars! Killian, wake up... You can't die here."At least not like that. He was freaking Captain Hook. Captain Hook was not supposed to be killed in a hit and run! He was supposed to fight a duel and go down as an amazing swordsman, a great Captain, as a bloody hero... not as roadkill. And those were absolutely no tears she was blinking back. "Please stay, Killian. You can't just die on me, here. Not like that. What's the fun in that? Where's the glory in that?"
