Prompt: This takes place after The Last Dance. Zeph has a nightmare and Pippin comes to comfort her. Zeph finally tells Pip what she’s been wanting to say since the day she lost him.
A/N: There is seriously not enough Pippin fanfiction
“Meet me the middle” I hear the Pip say as I try to control my sobs. Then my ears start to ring as I hear a big explosion on the other side of the coms. It’s like my lungs are being crushed. The air is barley breathable. I collapse to my knees. I barley feel Johnny’s arms wrapped around me. I feel like I’m dying.
“PIPPIN!” I scream tossing and turning in my sheets. I jolt awake to a pair of arms shaking my sweaty, trembling body. “Pippin?!” I gasp as tears start to form in my eyes. I can’t help, but break out into a sob. He pulls me into his arms and rubs my back. “Shhh it’s okay Zeph. It was just a nightmare. It’s all over now. I’m back” He said calming me down. “I’m back” he repeated as he held me tighter.
A few minutes pass as I lay quietly against Pip’s chest listening to his heartbeat, syncing our breathing. He lays a kiss to my forehead. “Pip?” I get his attention. “Yes, Zephyr, genius girl of Leith?” He asks. He cracks a smile and I can’t help, but let out a small giggle. “How can this even be happening? You died. Pip, I can’t lose you again” I tell him. “I told you to stop worrying about it!” He reminds me. “I know, I know, don’t look a gift Pippin in the mouth,” I start, “But I lost you” I add. “If for some reason this is some kind of trick...I can’t go through that again” I finish. Pip moves his hand to my chin and pushes my head up for our eyes to meet. “Zeph, we talked about this. I know it’s hard, but I’m really back. Just put down the science for now and pick up some hope. I know I certainly don’t want to think about how I got out of inescapable death” He reminds me. Pip looks down to my lips and then kisses me softly. It’s short, but sweet, not filled with sexual tension like our usual. I know why. We both do. Whatever we have is so much more than just sex. I think I’ve known that for a long time, even before he died. I’ve just been scared to admit it. I’ve just been scared to be vulnerable. I have to say it here and now. I have to say it because everything is perfect. I’ve got him and I’m never letting go. “Pippin...I’m in love with you” I say quietly. “Losing you was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through and I can’t go through it again” I add. Pip smiles. “Zephyr of Leith, you are stubborn, loud, sometimes a little crazy, and you always have to be the smartest person in the room...well universe-“ I smile and shrug it off. He’s not wrong. “And I have been in love with you since the day I met you” He adds. He places a kiss on my forehead as I snuggle deeper into him. “You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to tell you that” He says. I smile. “If it really means that much to you, if it’ll make you feel better, we can do some more tests tomorrow” He offers. I nod as I yawn. I start to drift back to sleep feeling safe. For a girl who ran away from home at 15, I’ve been searching for my real home my whole life. In this bed, on this spaceship, in Pippin’s arms I know I’ve found it. Who would have thought that a genius farm girl from Leith would fall for a spoiled loud mouth from Qresh? Hells if that ain’t magic.
Prompt: It’s sure to say that you and Party don’t take an instant liking to eachother...
“Whats your name?” Your eyes trailed in front of you to find a kid staring down at you.
Fuck. You didn’t think about the kid. Why the hell would there be a kid in a world like this anyway?! Last you checked, it was the apocalypse and most of the kids were basically dead. Hell, most people in general were dead.
The kid looked down at you with a small smile on her face, waiting for your answer. You fixed your jacket uncomfortably as you chuckled lightly at the kid. “I uh” Were the only words you said before you stood up. Straightening the rest of your clothes, you turned around to face everyone.
You were met with 4 men looking at you in confusion. Well, three of them were looking at you, the other one (a redhead) was stuffing his mouth. No one said anything for a while, as you exchanged a small nod with the other three. “I’m gonna need my stuff back” You started, but was cut off by a small sound coming from the red head.
“Sorry, but we can’t accommodate to your needs” The red head mumbled into his spoon. Scoffing lightly, you walked from behind the counter and made your way towards the group.
“Well you better start accommodating sweetheart” You threatened as the redhead smirked and shook his head. The fact he was being so smug pissed you off, so you did the first thing that went through your head; you slapped the can out of his hand.
That didn’t go down well with him. In fairness, you never thought he could move so quickly. But your arrogance was replaced with cockiness when you saw him square up to you. “Who the fuck do you think you’re talking to?”
“An arrogant prick who has my blaster and keys” You looked him in the eyes, a cocky smirk on your face. “By the way, I’ll need those back”
“Yeah?” His eyes refused to leave yours. “And what if I say no?”
“I’ll kick your ass” You threatened, watching his fists clench up at his sides. That made you smile as you looked up at him again, making sure you were looking at him dead in the eye. “What are you gonna do Killjoy? huh?” You decided to take another step closer, your chests touching. As he stared down at you, you could practically feel the anger seething from him.
“Okay, I think that’s enough” The smallest one jumped in between you both, pushing you away from each other. “It’s gonna get dark soon and she doesn’t have anywhere to stay” He looked up as the redhead didn’t respond. “C’mon Party”.
Growling lowly, the redhead (now Party) glared at the killjoy in front of him. “If she kills any of you in your sleep, its not my fault” Then stormed off into the back of the diner.
No one said anything for a while, so you stood there pretty awkwardly. That was until the small one broke the silence again. “Lemme show you around. At least then you’ll know where to avoid Party”
---
~ a few hours later ~
“I don’t think Party trusts you enough to let you sleep with us. So...” Fun Ghoul led you to one of the booths in the corner. “We don’t have much but we can’t leave you with nothing” He smiled shyly as you looked at the seats in front of you. There was a little torn blanket and a make-shift pillow. The gesture made your chest tighten as you stood there in shock for a couple of seconds.
Smiling up at him, you nudged at his arm. “Hey. It’s more than I’ve had in a long time. Thank you”
“Well I’ll leave you to it” He began to back away, but stopped to talk again. “Oh and Party gets up really early so don’t be shocked if he’s walking around first thing”
“I can deal with that” You replied softly, before yawning and climbing into ‘bed’. It felt weird. Even though you got the feeling that Party wouldn’t hesitate to shoot you with your own blaster, Fun Ghoul made you feed oddly safe.
You were supposed to keep your head down but that went to hell with (D/N) decided to cause a little trouble and now you were running through the streets trying to outrun the guy that was following you, your eyes landed on the bar that you loved to visit, you run in holding the door open for (D/N). “Hey, Pree.” You smiled as you sat at the bar noticing two people that you had never seen before.
“(Y/N).” Pree greeted as he poured you a drink.
“Thank you.” You smiled. “I’d like to apologize in advance for what’s about to happen.”
“What did you do?” He asked.
“I’ll explain later.” You said.
“There you are you little brat.” The man snarled and you looked over at (D/N).
“You going to help me with this or..” You trailed and he just flicked his ears in response. “Fab.” You mumbled to yourself before downing the rest of your drink and getting up out of the chair your arms up in a defensive stance.
You sighed as the guy finally dropped to the floor you clicked your shoulder and wiped your face. “You.” You pointed at your dog “are grounded, that was way more trouble than anything he had on his stool was worth, what did you take?” He nudged a ring towards you, you picked up the small object and realized that it was a ring that had been stolen from you a few weeks ago, you gave a soft smile putting the ring on. “You're not off the hook,” You mumbled. (D/N) gave a soft whine lowering his head as you rolled your eyes.
Neither of you notice the attention you were getting from across the bar.

Warnings: none
A/N: so this idea had randomly popped in my head and I was typing out a summary when I basically wrote the whole so here it is. This could potentially turn into like little imagines or mini series about johnny and luck’s journey through their relationship, ups and downs; I even have an idea for an imagine about how luck and johnny first met, so let me know what y’all think of that.
If Dutch wanted to count on her hands how many times she’s caught Johnny or Luck giving each other lovesick eyes like a couple of teenagers then she would need a hell of a lot of hands. Ever since Luck joined the trio, Johnny hasn’t stopped staring at Luck whenever she’s not staring at him— it’s like a ridiculous cycle. Dutch and D'avin are just about tired of seeing this on the daily and decide a little “talk” is in order for dear old Johnny.
—
Confusion was written all over Johnny’s face when he was forced in a seat, Dutch and his brother sitting across from him with unhappy looks on their faces. He raised his hands like he was surrendering, “Look, whatever you think I did, I didn’t do and you have no proof.”
D'avin rolled his eyes, “Shut up. Besides even if you did something, I wouldn’t need proof, you’re always guilty.” He crossed his arms over his chest.
Johnny looked offended and the two started bickering about whether one of them was more guilty than the other. Dutch had about enough of the arguing, “Boys please!” She shouted, silencing the two, “We’re all guilty of a lot of things but maybe we can get back to the task at hand?”
Johnny looked between the two, “What is the ‘task’ at hand? Why am I even here if I didn’t do anything?”
“You’re right, you didn’t do anything.” Dutch spoke, “As in, you didn’t do anything about talking to Luck about how you feel about her from the looks you give her all the time.”
Johnny could feel the heat rising and spreading all through his face but he wasn’t going to admit anything, “What? No, I look at her a normal amount, the same amount I look at the two of you.”
D'avin scoffed, “Cut the shit, Johnny. You like this girl and you wanna love her up, just admit it.”
Johnny glared at his brother, “I’m not going to admit anything because there’s nothing to admit.” He mirrored his brother’s action, crossing his arms over his chest, “And who even says it that way? 'Love her up”, seriously?“
"Oh, my god, ANYWAY!” Dutch let out a loud sigh, “Whether you want to admit it or not, anyone can tell from looking at the both of you how you feel about each other.”
Johnny brushed off her words, “I don’t know what—wait.” He stopped himself mid-sentence and leaned forward, “You just said 'feelings for each other’? Are you saying that Luck likes me?”
D'avin smirked and leaned forward as well, “I thought there was nothing to admit?”
Johnny took a moment before trying to look like he was unbothered and collected, “There isn’t anything to admit…but hypothetically, if there was, would there be a mutual thing to admit?” He looked at both of them, trying to remain calm.
Dutch clasped her hands and placed them on the table in front of her, “Hypothetically?” Johnny nodded. Dutch shrugged, “Hypothetically, maybe there would be mutual admission but there’s only one way to find out for sure.”
Johnny just nodded, “Right. right, got it. I’d have to actually…talk to her.” He was deep in thought but quickly snapped out of it even though he knew neither of them believed this was all “hypothetical”. “Hypothetically talk to her.”
Dutch and D'avin exchanged a look and got up from the table, “Let us know how that hypothetical situation ends for you, Johnny.” Dutch said as she and D'avin walked out of the room.
Johnny was left with his thought, his mind racing to figure out the right way to start this “hypothetical talk” that didn’t end in rejection or humiliation.
—
It wasn’t even five minutes before Johnny found himself standing outside Luck’s room, completely out of his element with feelings like this; he’s practically sweating about what he’s going to say to her. Talking to Luck about anything else is different, it seemed easy without the pressure that things could end in a humiliating way but now he has to talk about his feelings for her to her face and the way he feels about her just about hit him almost like he ran into a brick wall.
He was trying to psych himself up, telling himself that this is easy and all he has to do is knock on the door, when the door opened and she was standing there with that innocent smile on her face. He knew that she was anything but innocent with the way she handles herself in a fight, weapons or no weapons.
“Hey.” Johnny was at a loss of words just by looking at her. It was like every word from Dutch and D’avin and even himself just moments before flew right out his head and into the trash.
“Hi.” She was still smiling at him, the same way she always did and had done the day he met her. “I thought I heard talking out here so I thought I’d check it out…and here you are.”
“Here I am.” Johnny let out a nervous chuckle and just continued to look at her in amazement. He didn’t understand how one person, especially as small as she is, could make him feel so happy and terrified at the same time in this moment.
Luck smiled and shook her head at the dazed look on his face, “Did you need something, John? You were the one standing outside my door, kind of seems like you had something on your mind.”
Johnny seemed to snap out of his daze, “Uh, right, yes. Yes, I did have something on my mind.” He huffed and shook his head, another chuckle escaping him, “And it seems like all the words just left my head.”
“Oh, well, I’m sorry.” She said with a sympathetic smile on her face.
He looked at her in confusion, “Why are you sorry?”
She shrugged, “I’m guessing you were voicing whatever was on your mind when I opened the door and now whatever was on your mind is all jumbled up.”
He shook his head, “Oh, no. No, no, no, it’s not your fault. It’s not you — well, it is you but like not in a bad way. That’s what was, is on my mind. You are on my mind, like all the time.” He stopped talking and shook his head more, putting his hands on his waist as he scolded himself in his head, “Nope, that was something that wasn’t supposed to be said out loud. The one thought that stayed in my mind and I just had to say it out loud.”
Luck pressed her hand over his mouth, “You gotta slow down on the talking, John.” She tried to stifle a laugh as she took her hand away, not wanting to make him feel bad or embarrassed about what he said.
Johnny just looked into her eyes, a faint smile on his face, “You keep calling me John.“ He smirked softly, "You’re the only one who calls me John.”
Luck shook her head, slightly confused, "Not really, John. You do know that Zeph has called you John a few times and so has Lucy too.”
He chuckled and nodded, “Well, yes but you consistently do it. It’s never John and Johnny, it’s always just, just John.”
She chuckled and gave him a weird look, “Yeah, that’s what I like calling you. I figured if everyone did it and it didn’t bother you, it would be fine. If it does bother you that I call you John then I can stop—”
Johnny shook his head and smiled, “No, no, don’t. I like that you do.” Luck smiled at that as he continued, “I like a lot of things you do. I like a lot of things about you. I—”
He looked her, looked at her just looking at him with a smile on her face. Her eyes shining bright like he’d never seen them do before and just like that, all the wild thoughts racing in his mind just stopped. “I like you. And if it’s not too forward, I’m gonna kiss you now.”
Luck was at a loss of words and just nodded; she’d wanted to hear him say that for a while and had even been trying to say it to him herself. Johnny didn’t wait for her to say anything more as he moved his hands to cup her face and took a step closer to her, kissing her like he’d been dreaming of doing since the first time she beat him in a fistfight.
Luck gripped his wrists as she kissed him back. All that cliche, romance stuff she thought she was too tough to react to was just washing over her in waves and it made her feel jittery but in a good way.
She pulled away from the kiss, with a smile on her face that could’ve been permanent on her face from how hard she was smiling, “Were you standing outside my door, trying to work up the nerve to do this?”
Johnny smiled at her and shrugged, “Maybe. Well, it was more supposed to be with words and very little action but that all went right out the window when you smiled at me.”
They went to lean in for another kiss when a voice interrupted them, pulling apart to see Dutch and D’avin standing there with knowing looks on their faces.
“As happy as we are for this new development,” Dutch spoke, gesturing at the two of them, “We’ve got work to do, yeah?” Dutch and D’avin walked away, still smiling.
Johnny turned back to face Luck, “Well, I guess we can continue this another time?” He moved his hands from her face to her waist, pulling her closer to him as much as he could.
Luck nodded, placing her hands on his chest, “That I can do, John Boy. Maybe by then, you’ll get those thoughts back that seemed to have escaped you.”
The two laughed together as Luck attempted to pull away from Johnny but her attempt was met with resistance as Johnny tried to keep her in place, “Wait, one more for the road?”
Luck shook her head, “Nuh-uh, “one more” in your world means a million more and then Dutch and D’avin will be more pissed at us than happy for us.” Johnny tried to persuade Luck to give into him by holding onto her more and trying to kiss her again. Luck laughed an called out to the A.I., “Lucy, tell John if we don’t get moving, Dutch will coming looking for us again.”
“Get your ass moving, John.”
Johnny playfully frowned at Luck, “You’re mean, ganging up on me with Lucy.”
Luck shrugged as she finally released herself from his grip, taking his hand in hers, “You do what you gotta do. Besides, Lucy’s my girl. Right, Lucy?”
“Damn straight.”
Johnny laughed and trailed behind Luck as she pulled him along, “You’re teaching her how to talk like you, aren’t you?”
Luck smirked over her shoulder, “Damn straight.” Making Johnny, laugh more. He really was in deep with Luck and lucky for him, so was she with him.
