so it has truly been a hot minute since i've posted on here but when life happens, you kind of lose track of things but recently i've realized that writing fanfictions, short or long, have always brought me joy and an outlet to escape stress so i'm going to start posting more.
i want to post on the regular but as i start getting back into it all, i'm going to pace myself and not overwhelm myself to the point of not wanting to post anymore.
i have some imagine ideas in the drafts and my notes, as well as the continuation of a few series i've started here and on wattpad. speaking of the series i've written so far, i want to get current and new readers opinons on which series of the two you like the most so i can make sure to put forth my full focus on one series at a time or at least have a good ranking priority list. so please vote below on which series you'd like to see the end of and i'll link the master posts for each so you can read the summaries for each.
so it occurred to me as i was looking over my current and future oc database (yes, i have a database, i'm very organized) and the thought came to my mind that i've written imagines that introduced an oc in the middle of their relationship or connection to a character with little to no background on their start
i was wondering if you guys like that or if you'd prefer to have a proper introduction of the start of the pairing's relationship before these types of imagines that give a peak into different moments of their relationship or if you guys are cool with the way i'm currently doing things
for example, my pairing of my oc, andy moir, and kyle valenti from roswell new mexico started with them already broken up and becoming friends without knowing their start
so please, let me know how you guys feel about this by voting in the poll below!
how would you like my ocs introduced?
back story first, need that origin story babes!
love the little peaks first, piece together everything as i read
mix it up, feel the vibe, whatever feels right for the pairing!
Summary:Â Eddie Munson knows that he and his girlfriend, Veronica Lyons, aren't like most couples mostly due to their appearance and interests but they never let that bother them. Lately, Eddie feels a little insecure when he realizes he doesnât have one of those cute names for his girlfriend like all the other couples he sees and makes it his mission to find the perfect one.
Warnings: mentions of sex, alludes to sexual activity
A/N:Â after watching season 4 of stranger things, i discovered a new love and then this little diddy was born. I donât know if Iâm gonna continue with this OC but I do have an idea for a different OC with a different imagine and/or series so keep your eyes peeled! which i know i say alot but this is the life of someone who has constant ideas and inspirations!!
âSweetie?"Â
"No."Â
"Honey?"Â
"Fail on that."Â
"UhâŠcutie pie?"Â
"Seriously? Do I look like I would be a cutie pie?"Â
The look Veronica Lyons gave her boyfriend Eddie Munson was a mixture of disbelief and faux anger. He had been at this game for almost half an hour, racking his brain for any cute pet name he could think of. It all started when Eddie and Veronica were walking down the halls and while she was laying out potential date plans for the two of them but Eddieâs mind wandered as he spotted the different couples loitering by lockers.Â
He could hear the cute nicknames they had for each other, someone that Veronica called him, but the names the guys had for their girlfriends were what caught his attention. The realization hit him that he, Eddie Munson, did not have a nickname for his own girlfriend.Â
She called him an array of nicknames like Eds, Bubs, Bubba, and behind some closed doors, Pretty Boy. That one was his favorite and a name only shared between the two of them. He wanted to have a name for her that only he called her, like a private joke just between the two of them. He was so distracted by this that he hadnât even realized that Veronica had stopped talking or walking for that matter until he felt a tug on his hand.Â
Eddie glanced back at his girlfriend and the look of confusion on his face made her laugh lightly. Man, did he love the sound of her laugh.Â
"Whatâs going on in that head of yours, Eds?"Â
He couldnât stop the warm smile that grew on his face as he shook his head at her, "Nothing, nothing, just mind on the next campaign.â He pulled her closer, bringing her hand and kissing the back of her hand, âCome on, youâre gonna be late to class.â Eddie might not be full force into caring about school but he knows itâs important to Veronica and whateverâs important to her is important to him.Â
She could tell there was still something on his mind and a good part of her didnât believe it had anything to do with D&D. The two of them shared two classes together before sharing their lunch period; well, it was her lunch period originally and he may have made some changes to his schedule so their lunches lined up. Veronica was heading towards the self-proclaimed âHellfire Tableâ when she spotted the same deep in thought look on her boyfriendâs face.Â
She honestly had never seen him that deep in thought before except for the time he ask her out and he was trying to figure out how to word everything on the fly since he stopped her right as she was getting on her bus. Veronica knew her gut was right earlier and she was determined to figure out what had his mind so distracted.Â
Eddie remained lost in thought until snapping out of his daze at the sound of Veronica setting her tray down on the table. He smile at her as she sat down, resuming his eating as if he wasnât just staring into space, âHey, took you long enough."Â
Veronica scoffed and shook her head, "Cut the crap, Munson.â Eddie gave her a confused look, much like the one he had on his face earlier but before he could question her, Veronica beat him to the punch, âSomething is on your mind, something was on your mind this morning and I firmly believe that this âsomethingâ has nothing to do with your next campaign. Spill it."Â
Eddie chuckled nervously and shook his head, "Ronnie, I told you this morning that itâs nothing."Â
She rolled her eyes, picking up a fry and throwing it at his face. "You can lie to your little hellfire club all the time but you canât lie to me.â Veronica sighed, âC'mon, is this like a secret you canât tell me or something?"Â
Eddie felt crushed at the look on her face, knowing that his non-communication was the cause of it. He reached out and took her hand in his, rubbing her knuckles while giving her a reassuring smile, "Ronnie, you know there is nothing I wouldnât tell you."Â
Veronica squeezed his hand back, "Yeah, I know that so whatâs going on?"Â
He sighed, "Itâs stupid and sillyâŠ"Â
"Hey,â Veronica reached for his other hand, prompting Eddie to look her in the eye, âNothing you say is stupid or silly to me. Whatâs up?"Â
Eddie took a breath before speaking, "I just heard all the couples in the hall calling each other like these cute nicknames and it made me realize that we donât have that."Â
Veronica scoffed and shook her head, "What are you talking about? I call you all kinds of cute names."Â
He nodded, "Yeah, you do but I donât."Â
Veronica thought about it, "But you call me 'Ronnieâ."Â
Eddie shook his head, "No, everyone calls you 'Ronnieâ, I want something that only I get to call you. Something thatâs like just us, you know likeâŠâ He made the gesture to allude to what they both know she calls him when no oneâs around.Â
Veronica could easily tell where he was going with it and the fact he wouldnât say it made her smirk. She leaned forward and spoke under her breath so only he heard her, âYou mean when I call you my pretty boy?"Â
It was almost like in a blink of an eye Eddieâs cheeks started turning a shade of pink, a smile creeping on his face. He took one of his hands and ran his fingers through his hair, "Shut upâŠ"Â
She giggled at his reaction, "Relax bubs, no one heard.â She moved some of her hair behind her ear, âSo, you got any ideas for a cute nickname for me?"Â
An excited glimmer appeared in his eyes at her question, "I may have some ideas."Â
Veronica giggled and nodded, "Alright, bring it on, rockstar."Â
Thus their date plans that night and the next few nights consisted of Eddie going through a list of nicknames a lot longer than Veronica anticipated. They figured out that they werenât the babe/baby type people, bubs and bubba seem more fitting for just Eddie, and the whole sweetie, sweetheart, and sweet pea triangle was not their vibe.Â
Though there were some rejections, they did come to an agreement about one nickname while spending a night at Eddieâs. They were supposed to go out but Veronica didnât feel up to going out anymore so they decided to stay in and bake. Well, Veronica was the one doing the baking since it was a hobby of hers and Eddie was the perfect taste tester.Â
Veronica was in the kitchen, laying out all the supplies she brought over with her and bopping along to one of Eddieâs records sheâd gifted him.Â
The man himself made his way into the kitchen, hopping up onto the counter as he watched her work, "So what is the theme for tonight, Ms. Baker?"Â
She laughed as she stood to the side to showcase what she brought, "Well, it was going to be a broad theme of fruit desserts but then I stumbled across fresh peaches and went a little overboard with them. To sum up, tonightâs theme is peaches."Â
He laughed at his girlfriend, shaking his head at her, "What is with your obsession with peaches?"Â
She scoffed, "Itâs not an obsession, but a deep love and appreciation for the best fruit ever.â She turned to grab one of the jars from the counter, opening it and popping a peach slice in her mouth, âSeriously, nothing else compares to peaches."Â
Veronica turned her back on Eddie as she began to get the prep work started so she missed the look on his face. He couldnât believe he missed it. You had this love for peaches for as long as heâs known you and it wasnât something you hid; hell, everyone knew about it to the point of getting you peach-themed gifts for your birthday. How could he have missed that?Â
Eddie hopped down from the counter with a joyous look on his face; the contact his feet made to the floor had Veronica turning around concerned until she saw the look on his face. She couldnât stop the laughter that bubbled out, more confused than concerned, "What, did your foot fall asleep or something?"Â
Eddie chuckled and shook his head, "No, no, no! I just figured out your nickname!â Veronica smiled and nodded for him to continue, âPeaches,â Eddie said, hands in a âta-daâ motion, waiting for her reaction.Â
Her face lit up instantly, a wide smile on her face, âYeah, I like that!"Â
Eddie clapped his hands together, jumping up and down, "I knew I would get it!"Â
Veronica smiled at her boyfriend, happy to see the smile on his face after the series of frustrating frowns from previously rejected nicknames, "I knew you had it in you, bubs."Â
He had a bashful look on his face as he ended his celebratory jumping, shuffling to where she leaned against the counter. Eddie placed his hands on her waist, placing a kiss on her forehead before moving his head to the crook of her neck, "My peaches,â He mumbled into her skin.Â
She smiled up and nodded, wrapping her arms around his neck, âMy pretty boy."Â
Eddie shot up and playfully glared at her, "Not fair! You canât call me that and still get me all tomato faced, I have to have one for you too!"Â
Veronica shook her head at her silly boyfriend, "Relax, bubs. I wonât get you all riled up if thatâs what you want."Â
"No,â He shook his head, pointing a finger at her, âIâm gonna figure this out and for once youâre gonna be the one all red in the face."Â
Veronica chuckled and kissed the tip of his finger, "Okay, Eds, whatever you say.â She turned in his arms and continued setting everything up to start baking.Â
Eddie was sure he could figure this out, it had to come to him like peaches did. All he had to do was think back.Â
-Â
It had been only a couple of days since the birth of Veronicaâs new nickname; if the other members of the Hellfire Club didnât already think the couple was sickenly sweet then hearing Eddie call Veronica âpeachesâ or âpeachâ was surely confirming that fact. And since that night, Veronica could tell the gears were really turning in Eddieâs head as he tried to think of a nickname that was gonna get her all flustered like she gets him.Â
Initially, it was tricky for Eddie because Veronica was a little more dominant than he was, not that he was complaining about that. If he could, heâd have a series of photos commissioned of Veronica in her element when she got in her dominant moods.Â
Though Veronica was dominant majority of the time, there were times that Eddie had the upper hand and those were the times he had to focus on. He had to really think and not get distracted reminiscing on those moments and it only took until those couple of days after figuring out the first nickname before Eddie realized what would work on Veronica.Â
And Veronica could tell from the look on Eddieâs face when he met her at her locker.Â
Eddie was walking with this pep in his step, almost a cocky swagger, and the look on his face was equally cocky. He strutted up to her locker and leaned his shoulder against the neighboring one, trying to play off the cockiness as if he was totally chill.Â
Veronica chuckled at his demeanor and shook her head, exchanging some books out of her locker, âWhatâs gotten in your pants there, bubs? Looking awfully cocky right now."Â
Eddie shrugged, crossing his arms over his chest, "Oh, nothing reallyâŠjust figured out what gets you all hot and bothered."Â
She turned to him and swatted his shoulder, "Alright, loud mouth, let everyone hear about our sex life."Â
There were a couple of looks given by other students passing by but none zeroed in on the conversation. Eddie chuckled and shook his head, "Relax, peaches, I wonât go spilling the beans to everyone in earshot but I just thought you should know I figured it out.â He said, still looking smug.Â
Veronica eyed him, searching to see if he was telling the truth or just yanking her chain, âYou sure about that?"Â
"Oh, Iâm so sure about it that I figured out not one, but two pet names.â He stepped forward, leaning forward to whisper in her ear, âFor when youâre in charge and when Iâm in charge."Â
The turn in the conversation was starting to ignite something inside Veronica and she was starting to get the all too familiar itch. The bell rang out and everyone made a rush to get to class; lucky for the two of them, Veronica had a free period and Eddie was supposed to be in study hall. The hallways cleared out until there was only them.Â
She continued to eye him as he backed away still looking as cocky as ever, "Alright, bubs, since you sound so confident. Letâs hear 'em.â She said as she closed her locker.Â
Eddie raised his eyebrows at her, âYou sure you wanna hear them? Iâm not responsible for any reactions or actions you canât control."Â
Veronica rolled her eyes, "Oh, come off it, Iâve got more control than you do."Â
He beamed at her, his smile almost saying 'I know something you donâtâ which made her more skeptical than she already was, "Iâm so glad you said that. Remember that."Â
Eddie dropped his arms from his chest, moving them behind his back as he started pacing in front of Veronica, "Like I said, thereâs two pet names, one for when youâre in charge and one for when Iâm in charge.â Veronica nodded for him to continue, âWill start with the one for when youâre in charge."Â
Veronica crossed her arms and nodded, "Okay, continue."Â
Eddie walked towards her until they were toe to toe, placing his hand on her waist, "Since you like to call me your pretty boy,â He said as he looked down at their feet, âI thought calling you mistress would be fitting.â He finished, looking into her eyes.Â
The look on Veronicaâs face was going to be committed to Eddieâs memory until the end of time. Sheâd bit her lip, took one of her hands, and gripped his jean vest, âNow, that,â She said as she tugged him closer to her, âThat sounds like something I can get on board with.â She said as she looked into his eyes.Â
He smirked and nodded, âYeah, I thought you would."Â
Veronica mirrored his smirk, "So whatâs the other one?"Â
Eddie raised his eyebrows in mock surprise, "Oh, you wanna know what itâll be like when Iâm in charge?â Veronica nodded, waiting for him to continue. âWell, tell me how you feel aboutâŠâ He was purposely dragging it out and she knew it.Â
Veronica smacked his chest, laughing slightly, âEddie, quit stalling!"Â
He laughed and nodded, "Alright, alright, so impatient, princess."Â
It was almost comical how one word could make Veronica speechless, the same person that went on a wild 20-minute rant on why pickles were the best invention. Eddie could see the effect the word had over her and he couldnât not continue to pull at that thread, "Whatâs the matter, princess, cat got your tongue?"Â
The same red that would grace Eddieâs face when she would tease him. Oh, he was gonna have some fun with this.Â
Veronica said nothing as she grabbed his wrist, and looked both ways down the hall before dragging him along behind her.Â
Eddie chuckled but continued to follow along, "You gonna say something, Ronnie?"Â
Veronica glanced behind her before turning her head and facing forward, "Zip it, Munson. You started this."Â
Eddie scoffed, "Started what?â She stopped once she reached their destination and Eddie had his signature look of confusion, âWhat?â He said, looking at her.Â
Veronica stepped in front of him and gestured behind her to the womenâs bathroom, âGet in the bathroom, Munson."Â
He laughed, still not understanding what she was hinting at, "What, why?"Â
She rolled her eyes and pushed open the door, "Get in the bathroom so you can finish what you started, pretty boy."Â
It was like a lightbulb went off in his brain and Eddie started scrambling, patting his whole body trying to figure out where the condom was. Once he located it in his pocket, he walked forward and held the door open himself, "After you, princess."Â
Veronica walked in but not before turning around and grabbing him by his collar, yanking him into the bathroom. Without a doubt, there were sure to be consequences for this, plus skipping first period but neither of them could really find a single care in the world.

Word Count:Â 5426 words
Summary:Â Viola Remy is starting over at Constance Billard and she plans on getting through it all by not making a big splash. Seems easy enough, right? Well, it would be a little easier if St. Judeâs most notorious party boy, Max Wolfe, hadnât locked in on Viola the second their eyes meet.
Warnings:Â drug mention
A/N:Â is this a really long start to multiple little shots about this pairing that i have inspiration for? why yes, yes it is. i figured this was a good way to introduce her! not sure if iâve said this before but prompts, one shot requests, etc. can be put in for any one of my ocâs!
also for anyone curious, i imagine april mcdunn as emma mackey
New year.Â
New school.Â
Again.Â
Viola Remy has been through almost five schools across the country. Both her parentsâ jobs caused them to travel a lot; the first two schools were because of her parents, though she hasnât spoken to either of them since she turned sixteen and got emancipated from them almost a year ago. After turning sixteen, Viola left where her parents were and started a new school, finishing out her sophomore year as soon as her emancipation was finalized. Things didnât work out at that school, nor did things work out at the start of her junior year at her fourth school due to the bullies she encountered who were relentless.
But no more.Â
Viola was determined to stay at one school till the end of her senior year and with the help of a few family members she still spoke to, she was able to pay the tuition for Constance Billard in New York. Viola truly felt like this was a good place for her, desiring to make contacts in the fashion world to help achieve her dreams of being a notable designer.
Before she started school, Viola made friends with April McDunn, an aspiring writer also going to Constance Billard. April was the more outspoken of the two and would often come to Violaâs aid when someone tried to step to her.Â
Due to the pandemic, Viola had been quarantining at her last school in Colorado and continue to do so when she made the move to New York. She met April at a coffee house after someone attempted to belittle Viola for accidentally stepping on their shoe. Viola was living by herself when she got to New York but after hitting it off with April, she asked the blonde to move in with her before she started at her new school. April made the promise to stick by her side and let her in on the gossip so sheâd know who was who and who to avoid.Â
April told her all about the ones that practically owned the school and walked all over the teachers so when she saw Julien Calloway, Monet de Haan, and Luna La, Viola knew exactly where to be. Anywhere but around them.Â
She didnât want to get off on the wrong foot with any of them and make things worse for herself or April.Â
The one thing April hadnât talked to her about or even mentioned were the boys that went to St. Judeâs. Seeing the three around the other girls in the courtyard had Viola stopping in her tracks as she stared at them. âApril, who are they?"Â
April smirked before answering, "Those would be the other half of the "pretty peopleâ.â She nodded at the boy that had arrived at the table just minutes ago, "Thatâs Obie Bergmann. Very big on the activist scene despite practically sitting on a throne of gold coins."Â
She nodded at the pink, shaved-haired boy who was wrapped around the blonde in front of him, "That is Aki Menzies, skater and practically the most innocent one of them all. And thatâs saying a lot.â She took a sip of her coffee, âThe blonde is his girlfriend, Audrey, who is the literal definition of "Little Miss Perfectâ. Itâs insanely annoying after just one minute with her.âÂ
"And finally, the dreamboat himself, Maximus Wolfe."Â
Throughout the entire introductions, Violaâs eyes didnât waiver one second from Max. He did look like a dream, a rather sinful dream but a dream nonetheless. Her mind flooded with the rated r thoughts of this boy that sheâs only seen for no more than five minutes. When his eyes happened to glance in her direction, catching her stares, Viola immediately turned her head to April.Â
"Oh god, he saw me staring at him like an idiot or some kind of stalker.â She let out a heavy breath and pushed some of her dark hair behind her ear, âIs he still looking over here?"Â
April wasnât as put off at making and maintaining eye contact as she looked in the direction of Max and the others, "Oh yeah, heâs still looking. Definitely looking at you, thatâs for sure."Â
Viola dared to glance at him again and was met with Maxâs icy blue eyes and killer smirk. She couldnât pull her eyes away from him as he continued to hold her gaze. He tilted his head as he analyzed and the staring got too much for her and she finally broke eye contact. "He probably thinks Iâm a weirdo for staring so much."Â
April shook her head, "Oh, he probably wonât. He thrives on the attention, youâre just fueling his fire right now."Â
Viola scoffed, "Great, just what I needed on my first day. I said I wanted to avoid them, not gain attention.â She hooked her arm with Aprilâs to shift her focus, âCan we go inside before I do something worse?"Â
April laughed at her friend and shook her head, "You only stared at the guy, not drop to your knees in front of him. Relax, heâll probably forget about this before the day is even over."Â
But he didnât.Â
In fact, Max saw Viola coming up the steps before she ever laid eyes on him and his friends. He didnât have to talk to her to know she embodied innocence, an innocence he felt compelled to taint with just one touch or more. Their little staring contest had him ignoring whatever Audrey was saying to him at that moment.Â
She lightly slapped his shoulder, "As much as you try to convince others that your mind is always somewhere else as a way to sound charming and alluring, you actually look like your mind is somewhere else.â Audrey looked around to see what caught his eyes, âWhatâs got you so enchanted?"Â
Max rolled his eyes as he turned his attention to her, "Oh relax, my attention deviates for a moment and you get all dramatic.â Aki had been sitting quietly, listening to his girlfriend and friend bicker.Â
Audrey crossed her arms over her chest, all attention now on Maxâs wandering mind, âWell now youâve got me intrigued, were you actually focused on something other than yourself?"Â
Max couldnât hold back from rolling his eyes again as he got up from the table, "Audrey, this is me weâre talking about. When am I ever focused on anything but my charming self."Â
-Â
Violaâs day was pretty much uneventful which was everything she couldâve asked for. She didnât have to stand up and introduced herself in every class, she didnât stand out in any kind of way, good or bad. She blended in with the flow of the crowd and she couldnât have asked for anything better. Audrey didnât understand why she wouldnât want to stand out and make her mark when she wants to break out into the fashion world. Viola reasons that she could be as successful as any designer and still blend in with the crowd.Â
The only problem with that plan is that Max Wolfe already has her on his radar.Â
Throughout the halls, he tried to listen in on any gossip about the new girl. He wanted to know as much as possible before he approached her, not because he needed the help though. He liked to convince himself it was to come off as someone who knew more than people gave him credit for but deep down it was because he was generally intrigued by her and craved to know more.Â
The rest of his friend group was sitting out on the front steps of the MET when Max spotted Viola sitting by herself off to the side of where they were and decided to slink away while they were all focused on the Zoya girl. With them focused on the other new girl in the school, no one noticed Max make his way down the steps to Violaâs spot, standing in front of her with his hands in his pockets. "Hi, Iâm Max Wolfe, youâre new here?"Â
Viola had her head down in her sketchbook, half-eaten carrot stick hanging out of her mouth as she tried to multitask eating and getting work done which always failed. She heard his footsteps but she thought they were just going to walk past her; besides April, no one had even noticed she was there at Constance Billard so it caught her off-guard when someone came up to her, let alone someone like Max Wolfe.Â
Viola lifted her head, carrot still in her mouth, not believing the scene that was playing out in front of her. She knocked the carrot out of her mouth, quickly realizing how ridiculous she looked, and tried to look the least bit flustered by his presence, "Hi, hey, uh, yeah. Yeah, Iâm newâŠaround here.â She took a breath and went to stand, âIâm Viola R-â Viola cut herself off by standing up and forgetting the sketchbook and pencils in her lap, thus making them fall out around the two of them.Â
If Julien and the others didnât see Viola before, or notice Max had walked away, they are seeing the two of them now.Â
âHere, let me help.â Max bent down to help Viola as she frantically tried to pick up her things. He picked up her sketchbook while she tried to wrangle the various pencils and noticed how detailed her work was, âWow, this is amazing."Â
Violaâs head popped up and she realized what he was referring to. She shook her head and tried to reach for the book, "Oh, no, no, no. Thatâs just a rough sketch, not even close to being finished."Â
"Hey, donât sell yourself short,â Max held the book out of her reach and continued complimenting her work, âIf this is a "rough sketchâ then the finished product must be amazing.âÂ
Viola just shook her head, at a loss for words as Max continued to look at her sketch. He noticed her signature in the corner and recognized it from one of the many labels Audrey, Julien, Monet, and Luna talked nonstop about, "Wait, youâre Viola Remy? The Viola Remy?"Â
Viola was shocked that anyone would put "theâ in front of her name. She never showed much of her face with what few of her creations made it out in the world so no one would make the connection. âDo we know each other from somewhere or something?â She chuckled nervously.Â
Max smiled at her and shook his head, âNo but I know some people who really want to meet you. Like right now.â Still holding onto her sketchbook, Max started heading back to his friends with a rather frazzled Viola trying to simultaneously collect her things and get him to stop walking.Â
Everyone had noticed Max and the girl he was talking with but put it on the back burner until Max approached the group, âLadies, you wonât guess whatâs in my hands right now.â He said as he waved the book in the air.Â
Audrey looked behind him to see Viola making her way up the steps, she looked quite frazzled as she try to juggle her things while trying to make her way up the steps, âDid you still that book from that poor girl?â
He shrugged but before Max could say anything, Viola stumbled her way next to him, huffing and puffing after carrying the load of her loose pencils and two bags, âNot exactly.â
Max smirked as he held the sketchbook out to Monet, âTake a look at the name in the bottom right corner.â
Monet gave him a skeptical look as she took the book; her eyes glanced over the design itself before her eyes traveled to the name, her eyes almost bugging out of her head as she would recognize that name anywhere, âYouâre Viola Remy.â
Julien and Luna circled around their friend at her words, not believing what they heard. There in plain sight was the signature of Viola Remy little know but popular designer. All three girls were staring at Viola like she was a gift sent from above.
Monet quickly jumped into action, turning her attention to Julien, âIt would be absolutely killer for you to wear a Remy at the fashion show in a couple of days, a serious boost in followers.â She turned to Viola, âAnd of course killer for you.â
Viola was shocked but nodded along as she brushed hair behind her ear, âYea-Right, killer of course.â Max snickered at her words and she gave him a not even close to menacing glare, âI think I can put together a sketch or two and show it to you later.â
Max decided to cut in, âWell, weâre all meeting up at the Dumbo Hall later,â He put his hands in his pockets, âIâm sure you ladies can talk shop there, right?â
Viola had heard about Dumbo Hall from April and around school but she didnât think sheâd step foot in a place like that. Honestly, she didnât feel like she belonged there. âI donât want to intrude, we can just meet some other time.â
Julien waved her off with a smile, âPlease, youâre a designer. Soirees like this are made for you.â She took the book from Monet and handed it back to Viola, âSee you there tonight?â
Viola smiled and took back her book, âYe-Yeah, Yes, see you there tonight.â She tucked the book under her arm and waved to everyone else, âSee you guys.â She turned away from the group and head down the stairs, mind racing with design ideas and what she was gonna wear tonight as she headed back to Constance Billard.
The rest of the group turned their attention away from the girl, all going back to their separate conversations and activities but Maxâs eyes lingered on their girlâs fleeting form. Aki noticed Maxâs gaze and spoke up, âLosing focus there, Max?â
He smirked as he continued looking to where Viola had been walking before turning to Aki, âI donât know what youâre talking about.â Max brushed past Aki and took his seat back on the steps. He laid on the steps, leaning on his arm as he thought more about Viola and realized he genuinely wanted to know more about her. He knew the girl she was hanging around with earlier in the day, April, and figured talking to her was the safe bet.Â
Max waited for April out in the courtyard, hand in his pocket and phone occupying the other hand as he leaned against the wall. At the sound of laughter and high-pitched voices, Max glanced up and spotted April coming out one of the side doors. He pocketed his phone and made his way to her, determination in his eyes and charm at the ready. âHey, April, can I talk to you?"Â
April hadnât even seen Max waiting across the courtyard for her but regardless she couldnât hold back the skeptical look that was on her face when the Max Wolfe wanted to talk to her. The two of them ran into very different circles and no one would think theyâd have even a semblance of a conversation; one reason why her friends were also giving a weird look at the man in front of them.Â
April nodded at her friends, making promises to see each other later. She moved some of her hair behind her ear as she turned her full attention to one of St. Judeâs biggest troublemakers. "Max Wolfe knows my name, arenât I just the luckiest girl in the world.â She said with an unenthusiastic tone.Â
Max chuckled and shook his head, âRelax the sarcasm, I have a genuine question to ask you.â April nodded for him to continue, âWhat can you tell me about your friend, Viola, from this morning."Â
April rolled her eyes and scoffed, "Oh, forgot about it."Â
She went to walk away just barely catching a glimpse of the confused look on Maxâs face who reached his hand out to stop her from walking off, "Wait, come on. What did I do?"Â
April scoffed, "Are you serious? Itâs not what you did but who you did, which is practically like everyone.â She crossed her arms over her chest, âWhy would I tell you anything about her knowing youâd do nothing but do her and dump her?"Â
Max couldnât deny that anything she said was wrong because thatâs exactly the kind of reputation he has. What was surprising him in that moment is for the first time, he didnât want that reputation. It was like there was this small inkling inside him that wanted to be a good guy for once.Â
April was doubtful in his words and sudden change of character; Viola is the first friend sheâs had that she genuinely cares for. Hell, they live together. April would do anything for the girl and that includes making sure she doesnât get her heartbroken.Â
April eyed him as she mulled over his words, "Letâs say for argumentâs sake that I believe you. Viola already knows the kind of person you are, what makes you think sheâll believe you have this change of heart?"Â
Max shrugged, "Actions speak louder than words, right?â April rolled her eyes before fixing her gaze at him. He sighed, âJust need your assistance to start.â April continued staring at him expectantly, making him groan, âAlright, alright. Please can you help me?"Â
She smirked and uncrossed her arms, "Fine, Iâll give you the SparkNotes on Viola.â Max looked relieved before April cut in, noticing his change in mood, âKeep in mind, what I tell you should not be used as tools to get her into bed. If I find out thatâs exactly what happened, I will murder you. Iâm not kidding."Â
Max held his arms up in surrender, "I believe you."Â
April nodded and straighten out her shirt, "Alright, letâs start then.â The two walked off as April began going into a quick guide on what to do and not to do when it comes to one Viola RemyÂ

Dumbo Hall
Viola had been frantic when she was trying to decide on what to wear. She didnât want to look like she was trying too hard but she also didnât want to look underdressed. On top of everything, Viola went through numerous sketches before settling on the five that didnât look absolutely amateur.Â
April had to practically push Viola out the door after throwing a dress at her, telling her that she was overthinking things like she usually did. Viola was giving herself a pep talk the entire time as she made her way up the elevator, practically holding her sketch tote in a death grip. The nerves were there when the ding signaled sheâd arrived on the floor and she didnât everything in her power to hold together when the doors opened.Â
Her phone dinged as she stepped out and she glanced at the notification but disregarded it, getting the focused mindset. Viola glanced around as she tried to spot Julien or any of her friends and felt relief when she heard her name being called, spotting Julien sitting with the rest of the group and waving her over.Â
Even though she knows they love her designs, Viola couldnât help but feel slightly unwanted from the looks of the other girls, Monet and Audrey in particular. Viola knows people use other people for what they can do to boost themselves and she wasnât foolish to think these girls actually liked her for her.Â
Viola smiled lightly as she walked up to the group, tote in hand, as Julien stepped forward, wrapping an arm around her shoulder, âHereâs the guest of honor.â She guided Viola to the couch, sitting her next to Monet before taking a seat next to her with Luna on her side, âWeâve been waiting for you."Â
Monet took it upon herself to take Violaâs tote, opening it up and looking inside, "So, letâs see what we have here."Â
Viola sat there as the three girls pondered through her sketches, chiming in here and there when her responses were necessary. Julien, Luna, and Monet had a pretty good handle on what they were looking for when it came to the "perfect killer gownâ in Monetâs words. Audrey settled on the coffee table in front of them, pulling Julienâs attention away from the sketches to the topic of Zoya and how Audrey thinks Julien is being too trusting. At the sound of the elevator, all eyes averted from the sketches to Zoya and Obie walking out together. Julien immediately popped up from the couch to greet the girl despite the warnings Audrey gave just moments ago.Â
Viola felt like an outsider in this moment, watching all of them flutter around and having banter between friends. She felt her breath get stuck in her throat when Max entered the room, he glanced her way and smiled before engaging in conversation with Obie. Watching him being led away kind of extinguished the flame of the possibility of talking more with him but she quickly reminded herself that she was here to help Julien.Â
After Audrey left to go find Aki, Viola stood from the couch to approach Julien, âI donât want to bother, I can just leave these sketches here with you and you can tell me which one you want to go with."Â
Before Julien could speak, Monet stepped up and took control, "Oh, the maxi dress halter. Also, mix prints. Half and half."Â
Viola nodded as she jotted down notes and grabbed her tote, "Iâll get started on that. Um, thanks for inviting me here tonight."Â
They all smiled at her before returning to their conversations and just like that, it was like she was never here. Part of her wanted that, to not be anywhere near the spotlight but after having just a small taste of it, she wasnât sure if she didnât want it anymore. Viola simply backed away from the group and walked away, heading for the elevator.Â
As she passed a hallway, Viola glanced over and spotted Audrey walking with a glass in her hand. She didnât think anything of it until she noticed who she was walking up to: Max, who was in the middle of a hot and heavy make-out with a guy and a girl. Viola was surprised but how could she be? April told her the kind of person Max was but it was something else to see it in person.Â
She watched the two of them talk to each other and witnessed Max leaning forward with his tongue out. She didnât understand why at first until he took something off his tongue and realized it was a pill. That was something different. Violaâs eyes were still glued on the scene in front of her and she didnât snap out of it until Audrey walked away and then her eyes met Maxâs and whatever act he had with Audrey dropped. Viola adjusted the strap of her dress before she started heading for the elevator, not realizing Max was following after her.Â
She tapped the down button on the elevator and as she heard her name being called, she started tapping it more and more in hopes it would arrive faster. Viola kept her eyes glued to the elevator as she heard the call of her name getting louder and louder, easily recognizing the voice that was calling out to her.Â
Max knew what Viola mustâve been thinking about him and it was the one thing he wanted to not happen. It had barely been a day and he was already screwing things up, "Hey, are you leaving already?â He said as he finally caught up to her.Â
Viola turned around and tried to smile as if she didnât see what sheâd seen, âYeah, uh, yeah, I showed Julien the sketches and she picked one. Which is great! So, Iâm heading out now to, to go and start on it."Â
Max smiled and placed his hands in his pockets, "Um, about what you just sawâŠ"Â
Viola shook her head, brushing off what he said, "No, no, Itâs cool. We donât need to talk aboutâŠanything."Â
Max shook his head, "I just donât want you to get the wrong idea about me."Â
She awkwardly laughed and waved him off, "Honestly, itâs fine. I mean, kind of knew what to expect with you and your friends so canât say Iâm pretty surprised, ya know?â The elevator dinged and opened, causing her to walk backward and get onto it, âItâs just not really my scene, ya know, but thank you for getting me here. Really helped with my work.â Viola pressed the button for the ground floor, âSee ya around, Max."Â
Max couldnât even get in another word before the doors closed in his face. He wasnât sure what hurt more, that April was right about Viola having the wrong idea about him or that his chances with her completely disappeared right before his eyes.Â

Viola & Aprilâs Apartment
After getting off the elevator, Violaâs hailed a cab back to her apartment. She didnât have to worry about talking about her night with April since she was out with her artist friends at a new gallery opening. Viola hung her coat up and walked her sketches to her workstation, kicking her shoes off as she made her way across her living room. Sheâd just missed the rain when she left Dumbo Hall but caught a little bit of it as she got into the building.Â
Violaâs plans for the night had originally been sketching with The Mandoloian playing in the background as sheâs watched it more than 5 times and knew the lines by heart. Now, those plans had gotten pushed back due to going to the club but the night was still young and she was already putting up her hair and wearing her "Professor Trelawneyâ glasses according to April.Â
She was just getting settled at her desk when there was a knock at the door. Viola sighed and reluctantly got up from her desk; whenever April went to these gallery openings, she always had a little too much wine with her friends and more often than not couldnât figure out how to put her key in the door and Viola had to help her.Â
âApril, I told you to call me whenever you leave the galleries so I can leave the door unlocked for you,â Viola said as she opened the door but was surprised to see Max soaked from head to toe standing in front of her.Â
He chuckled and smirked, âUh, unlocked doors in any neighborhood seem a little unsafe in my opinion."Â
Viola was at a loss for words but snapped out of her daze, "Uh, well, I normally donât do it until sheâs in the building soâŠsuper safe.â She leaned against the door and placed a hand on her hip, âWhat, whatâre you doing here, dripping in my hallway?"Â
Max let out a breathless chuckle and shrugged, "Uh, well, after you left, I ran down the stairs because waiting for the elevator wouldâve taken too long then it was raining when I got outside which is when I realized I had no idea where you lived.â He shuffled in place and continued, âSo, I messaged April and after calling me just about every name in the book, she told me where you lived and now Iâm here."Â
Viola was impressed with the amount of work he put into getting here but she didnât know why, "Uh, okay. How about you come inside and stop dripping everywhere, I think April has some of her brotherâs clothes here. Heâs stayed a couple of times when heâs on breaks."Â
Viola ushered him inside and told him to stay where he was while she got clothes for him to change into. She grabbed a sweatshirt and pants before going back out into the living room. She pointed him in the direction of the bathroom and sat on the couch as he left to change. It was only a matter of minutes before he came back out.Â
Viola stood up and gave him a small smile, "Iâm sorry there arenât any shoes to change into but I figured youâd be leaving soon so it wouldnât be much of an issue."Â
Max was taken aback but nodded, "Right, right, itâs not a problem."Â
She watched him slowly make his way to the door but something made her stop him, "Wait, Max?â He stopped in his tracks and turned to face her, âI just really need to knowâŠuh,â Viola sigh before taking a deep breath and continuing, âWhy did you come all the way here?"Â
For the first time in his life, Max felt odd being put on the spot. He laughed nervously and shrugged, "I wanted to apologize to you. I really didnât want you to have this image in your head about me and it happened anyway and Iâm just sorry."Â
Viola was still confused, "Wait, why?"Â
Max looked at her confused, "Why, what?"Â
Viola adjusted her glasses and shifted from one foot to the other, "Why do you not want me to have that image?"Â
Max shrugged again, "I wanted you to like me and I wanted you to think Iâm a good guy, not that guy back at the club.â He took a breath, âI wanted you to think Iâm a good guy because I wantedâŠI want to ask you out."Â
To say she was shocked was an understatement. Viola couldnât understand why he would want anything to do with someone like her when he was someone like him.Â
She pointed at herself, "Me? You mean me?â Max nodded, smiling at her actions, as Viola shook her head and snapped out of her haze, âYeah, no, okay. Good."Â
Max raised his eyebrows, ââGoodâ? Does that-What does that mean?âÂ
It was Violaâs turn to smile at Maxâs actions, "That means I will give you a chance.â A bright smile grew on Maxâs face, mirroring her smile, Viola held a finger up to stop him from saying anything while she continued, âOne thing. I donât want to change you into something youâre not, just like I donât want you to change me."Â
Max nodded, "Right, right. I donât want to make you do anything. Plus, Iâm sure that April would skin me alive if I did anything horrible to you. She truly scares me."Â
The two of them chuckled because April was a force to be reckoned with even if she smiled like she was made of sunshine and rainbows.Â
Viola adjusted her glasses, "On that note, you should probably go before she gets home. You think sheâs vicious sober, sheâll tear you a new one with a few shots of sake in her."Â
Max chuckled at her joke and headed for the door, Viola following after him. She held the door open for him as he stepped out into the hallway, "So, Iâll see you at school tomorrow?"Â
He nodded, crossing his hands in front of him, "Yes, you will. As well as after school for a simple coffee date,â Max was confident when he said that but faltered at his next words, âIf thatâs okay with you."Â
Viola nodded, feeling her face get hot, "That is more than okay with me.â Max stepped forward and placed a kiss on her cheek, âGoodnight, Viola Remy."Â
Violaâs hand moved the cheek he kissed, a dazed look on her face she watched him walk backward, "Goodnight, Max Wolfe.â With a final look, Max turned the corner and headed for the elevator. Viola lingered a little longer before closing the door, leaning against it, and sliding to the ground. As soon as she reached the ground, Viola planted her face in her hands and let out a little scream. She never expected things to turn out the way they did when she left for school this morning but she was starting to think that giving Max Wolfe a chance would be the start of a crazy ride.

Characters:Â John B. Routledge, Sarah Cameron, Kiara Carrera, JJ Maybank, Pope Heyward, Wheezie Cameron
Word Count:Â 6066 words
Summary:Â John B and Ana met freshman year at UNC and what started as a friendship blossomed into a beautiful relationship. Sarah is still a little bitter from the break up and seeing John B with Ana isn't making it any easier. A twist of words and a lot of misunderstanding lead to a very heavy break up. Can things be fixed or is it heartbreak city for the future?
A/N:Â Â let it be known that I love Sarah Cameron and her character acting this way is just for this!out
Itâs been a while since John B had been in Outer Banks. After just scraping by in high school, John B surprised all his friends by not only applying to college but going through with it and leaving. He never thought he would do it and the rest of the Pogues didnât think heâd see it through, especially JJ; everyone knew that Pope was leaving, that was a no-brainer but John B was not the definition of a college guy. When the day came for John B to leave, it settled in what was happening. There were tearful goodbyes, long hugs as they all helped John B pack up for the trip; they all decided to make it a group trip to spend as much time as they possibly could together before being separated.
Things were changing for the four pogues and the kook princess; John B going to UNC, Pope heading to Duke, Kie was taking a year off to stay and help out at the Wreck, and JJ had decided to not go to college a long while ago so he told John B heâd keep an eye on the Chateau while he was gone. Sarah was heading across the country to go to Stanford; she and John B were making long-distance work at first but eventually, things turned into an on and off-again situation, only being âon-againâ whenever the two ended up in Outer Banks at the same time. This lasted for almost half a year until John B started seeing Ana Cecilia Morillo, the girl who lived across the hall from him.
They met in their hall meeting a week before classes started and clicked. They had a playful, flirty banter and everyone around them thought they were bound to start dating but Ana had a boyfriend at UNC and John B was still juggling his on and off-again relationship with Sarah. They were there for each other constantly; Ana helped John B study and listened to him when heâd vent about how things were going with Sarah and John B introduced Ana to the fun and reckless side of life and let her talk about how her relationship with her boyfriend was starting to become bland. One fateful night, the two new friends were having their annual movie night after Ana had broken up with her boyfriend; John B called it an emergency movie night due to the break-up, and even though Ana told him it wasnât necessary, he wasnât listening.
That night, John B realized that heâd been suppressing his feelings for Ana since the day they met and seeing her smile at him and knowing he was the one that put that smile on her face, John B realized that he didnât want to hide how he felt anymore and kissed her. Ana was completely taken by surprise but melted into the kiss regardless; she couldnât lie to herself that she didnât feel a spark whenever she was near him and the kiss just made everything fall into place.
After their first kiss, the two were even more attached at the hip than they were before if that was even possible. Their friends were finally happy that the two were finally together after clearly seeing the longing looks and lingering touches. John B had introduced Ana to the Pogues and they loved her; she and Kie texted and FaceTimed often, she nerded out with Pope, and with John B teaching her how to be more reckless, she and JJ got along well when John B would take her back to Outer Banks with him. The only problem was Sarah. She could tell something was up even before John B announced he was dating Ana; heâd stopped coming to see her when they were both in Outer Banks and when sheâd text him, he didnât make plans with her like he used to. He started treating her like just a friend and it really ticked her off.
â
Itâs been almost two years since the two had started dating and things were going great. It was the summer before their junior year and John B and Ana were heading to Outer Banks after the end of the spring semester. Ana decided to spend the summer with John B and the Pogues instead of going home to Florida; JJ had already moved his stuff out of the main bedroom into John Bâs old room so that the happy couple could have the bigger bed. Ana and Kie had even already made plans for the first few weeks she was in Outer Banks. She put the thought of seeing Sarah again in the back of her mind but John B knew it bothered her; he and the others could clearly see how Sarah didnât like Ana but because Ana didnât let it bother her too much, none of them said anything.
It was a late morning in the Chateau and John B was still in bed. He stirred awake when the aroma of bacon reached his nose, prompting him to push himself out of bed and shuffle toward the source of the bacon smell. A sleepy smile found its way to his face as he watched Ana in the kitchen, making breakfast and blasting music from her phone. She was so absorbed in making breakfast that she didnât even hear John B walk up behind her, jumping when he wrapped his arms around her and placed his chin on her shoulder.
Ana swatted at his hands and laughed, âGod, JB, you scared the shit out of me.
"He laughed along with her, "Iâm sorry that you canât hear anything over your insanely loud music.â
Ana shoved him with her shoulder as she continued cooking, âOh, hush, you love my music choices and you know it.â She looked over her shoulder at him, âIs that what woke you up?â
After heâd been shoved by her, John B leaned up against the counter and continued to watch her, âSurprisingly no, I smelled the bacon.â John B looked around, surprised the bacon or even the music hadnât woken JJ up, âWhereâs JJ?â
âHe went down to the Wreck with Pope, said heâd bring him and Kie back here for breakfast.â She said while she continued cooking.
John B looked confused, âSeriously, before noon?â
Ana scoffed and shook her head, âBabe, itâs almost 2 in the afternoon.â She turned to look at him, âYou know I like breakfast food. I knew it would confuse you when you woke up.â
He laughed and before he could say anything, the sound of loud talking and laughter floated in as he heard the front door open. It didnât take long for the Pogues to find their way to the kitchen with Sarah in tow.
JJ hopped up on the counter and let out a big sigh, âThank god youâre cooking, AC. Iâm fucking starving.â Kie pushed his shoulder as she walked over to Ana, standing next to her, âNo one told you not to eat anything this morning.â
JJ rolled his eyes at her, âWell, I didnât want to wake her up this morning just because I wanted to eat something before I met up with Pope.â
Pope laughed and shook his head, âWhy would you even wake her? Make your own food.â
JJ looked at his friend as if he said the dumbest thing, âPlease, we all know her cooking is bomb as fuck.â He scoffed, âYou know, for a college man, youâre not that bright.â
âAlright, children, enough.â Ana turned around as she finished up the bacon and moved it to the bowl on the island, "Now eat your afternoon breakfast before I decide to keep this all to myself.â
Everyone quieted down and started getting down to it. Seeing everyone content and eating made Ana happy and she looked up to see if John B got anything yet but held in a breath when she saw Sarah and John B. She was leaning in close to him, saying something only he could hear that made him smile and Ana had to force herself not to think too much into it. As soon as John B looked at her, she could tell his smile was direct at her and only her and that reassured her of what she knew: that John B loved her and only her.
He walked over to her and kissed the side of her head before digging in. Ana made eye contact with Sarah and the two smiled at each other but anyone could see that the smiles werenât genuine and were forced. Ana looked away too soon to see the glare Sarah was sending her way.
â
It had been three weeks into the summer and things started to hit a snag. Every time John B and Ana made plans for just the two of them, something always comes up and pulls them away. A few times it was Pogue business and that was understandable but far too many times it was Sarah calling up John B with some excuse as to why she needed him right away. Ana knew John B was not the type of person to leave his friends high and dry, even when one of those friends is an ex, and Sarah knew that too. She knew that John B would come running just like he would if any of the Pogues called him up.
Ana was understanding at first but after the fourth date being cut short, it was starting to get on her nerves. She didnât want to say anything and blow things out of proportion, starting an unnecessary fight but she didnât know how much longer she could hold out.
The tipping point came one afternoon at The Wreck.
Ana was waiting for Kie to finish up her shift and waiting for Sarah to show up. Kie told her that she wanted to have a girlâs day and she knew this was Kieâs way to try and get her and Sarah on a friendlier page. Ana was willing to try for Kie and John Bâs sake but she had no idea if Sarah was willing to do the same.
Not long after arriving at The Wreck, Sarah showed up and took a seat at Anaâs table. They exchanged polite smiles and small talk before Ana realized that Sarah looked nervous about something. Ana knew they werenât exactly friends but that didnât mean she couldnât act friendly towards her.
âHey, Sarah, are you okay?â She leaned in a little towards the other girl so no one around them would hear their conversation. "You look a little nervous or something.â
Sarah sighed and shook her head, âItâs nothing really, donât worry about it.â
Ana smiled, âLook, I know weâre not that close but Iâm a really great listener if you wanna talk.â
Sarah smiled back but her smile fell before she spoke, âItâs something seriousâŠabout John B.â
Worry instantly flooded through her system, racking her brain of all the possible things that couldâve gone wrong with him but Sarah was quick to squash those thoughts, âOh, no, heâs not hurt or anything. Heâs fine.â
Ana breathed a sigh of relief, âOh, good. So, whatâs going on with John B?â
Sarah wordlessly brought her phone out and placed it in front of her, a text message opened up. âJohn B sent me this. I just thought you should see this for yourself.â
Ana was confused but looked down at the phone to read the message.
I miss the way things used to be.
This message was sent from John B to Sarah four months ago.
Ana looked back up at Sarah, heavy confusion on her face, âWhat-Why did he send you this?â
Sarah took the phone back, scrolled some more as she answered, âWe were talking about old memories, stuff we all did back before college and he said that.â She gave her phone back, âHe sent these too.â
Ana took the phone back and read the messages.
Of course, I miss the old times, hanging with you and the Pogues. We had good times together.
Wish I could go back in time.
Things are great now but I miss how life used to be.
The last message hit her hard. Not just because of what he said but because the message was sent the day sheâd made afternoon breakfast for everyone. He acted like everything was okay and fine that day when all the while, he was sending messages to Sarah about missing the old days.Â
Before her.
Ana took a breath and ran her hand through her hair. âUh, could you send these to me? Like screenshots.â She stood up from her seat and went to leave before stopping short, âAnd tell Kie that something came up.â
Ana didnât wait for Sarah to respond to her before heading for the door and straight for the Chateau.
A few minutes after she left, Kie came from around the back, spotting Sarah sitting by herself. âHey, what happened with Ana? I thought I saw her come in before you?â
The solemn look she had on just moments earlier was wiped clean from her face, an âinnocentâ smile on her face, âOh, she said to go on without her. Something came up.â
Kie didnât think too much about it and just shrugged, âOkay, maybe sheâll meet up with us later then. Iâm almost done.â She walked away to bus down a table. Sarah just smiled and leaned back in her chair. Her plan was put into motion.
â
Ana knew John B was at the Chateau still because he said while she was out with Sarah and Kie, he was gonna have the guys over. She drove her car back and the whole ride there, all she could think about was the last four months together. What if he felt like this longer than four months? What if there were more messages like the ones Sarah showed her? Her mind raced with all of these âwhat ifâ scenarios and none were easing her mind any less.
When she got to the Chateau, she took a couple of deep breaths before getting out of the car and heading inside. She couldnât hear any talking so she assumed they must be down at the beach. This gave her some time to collect her thoughts so she wouldnât go flying off the rails at him when she confronted him about this.
She hadnât been pacing in the living room for long when the front door open and the very man in question walked in.
John B looked at her confused but still smiled at her, âHey, what are you doing here? I thought you were having a girlâs day.â He could see the uneasy look on her face which made him stop in his tracks and walk closer to her. âBaby, are you okay? Whatâs wrong?â
He reached out to her but Ana stepped back from him and his confusion returned, âAna, whatâs going on?â
She crossed her arms over her chest and looked him dead in the eye, âDo you still have feelings for Sarah?â
If it was even possible, John B looked even more confused now than he did before, âWhat? No, I donât have feelings for Sarah. Where is this coming from?â
Ana ignored his question and kept going, âSo, you donât wish that things were the way they used to be before we started dating?â
John B was shocked and shook his head, âWhat are you talking about?â
The more he wouldnât come clean about the messages, the madder she got. âGod, John B, I saw the messages between you and Sarah. Just admit it.â
John B wasnât understanding why she was getting so mad nor why she bought up Sarah at all, âWhat messages? I donât know why youâre getting so mad right now.â
She groaned and pulled out her phone to open up the screenshots Sarah sent her, âSo you didnât say any of this to her?â
Ana held her phone out and John B stepped forward to read the messages and sighed when he realized what messages she was talking about, âAnaâŠYes, I sent those but itâs not what you think.â
She scoffed and shoved her phone back in her pocket, âOh, please, itâs pretty clear what youâre talking about. I knew I shouldâve said something but I didnât want to cause problems. This, though, is the last straw.â
John B shook his head, âNo, Ana, this has nothing to do with Sarah.â
âThis has everything to do with her!â Ana said as she threw her hands up, Â "Ever since we got here, youâve ditched me or cut dates short because Sarah needed you for something.â
John B was matching her anger as the argument continued, "Sheâs my friend, Ana. Iâd drop anything for my friends because theyâre my family.â He shook his head, âIâd do the same thing if I was with them and you said you needed me.â
Ana felt tears in her eyes but she refused to let them fall, âPlease, this is not the same thing. I was there, John B, seeing you mope about Sarah or talk about her when you guys had whatever the fuck kind of relationship it was. She means a hell of a lot more to you than the other Pogues do. Probably more than I do.â
John B pointed at her, âThatâs not true, you know thatâs not true.â
She scoffed, âJust shut up! Those messages prove along that Iâm just some rebound for you because you and Sarah couldnât hack a long-distance thing.â
John B was mildly pissed because she was blowing things out of proportion but now he was mad, âWhat the fuck, Ana. That was a low blow and you know it. You donât see me comparing us to you and your boring as fuck ex who dumped you because he met someone âmore on his levelâ despite you telling everyone you broke up with him.â
âFuck you, John B.â One lone tear fell down her face and just felt defeated, âI hope you and Sarah are really fucking happy together.â
Ana pushed past him and stormed out and John B sighed, realizing how far he took things. âAna, wait!â He took off after her as she made her way back to her car. JJ and Pope were just coming back up from the beach, wondering what was taking him so long to come back, when they saw Ana coming out of the Chateau with John B hot on her heels.
John B reached out for her arm to stop her but Ana just jerked it away and kept walking, âLeave me alone! Just fuck off!â
âJust stop and let me explain!â
Ana whipped around and stopped in her tracks shoving at his chest, âWhat part of 'fuck offâ do you not understand, huh?â
John B just wanted her to cool down, to listen to him, but she was too mad to think straight, âAna, baby, pleaseââ
âDonât. Donât 'babyâ me. Just,â She sighed and made the move to remove the ring he got her on Valentineâs Day.
John B could see what she was doing and his heart started to break, âNo, donât. Please donât, ba-Ana. Please.â
More tears fell down her face as she shook her head at him, âI canât.â Ana took the ring off and then grabbed John Bâs hand, placing the ring in his palm. âI just canât right now.â
Before he could say anything else, please more for her to stay, Ana turned her back on him and got back into her car. She looked back at him before she drove off. John B clutched the ring in his hand and just stood there. He had no idea how this ended up like this but he hoped and swore he didnât just lose the best thing that ever happened to him.
JJ and Pope walked up to him, both just as confused as he was, âDude, what the hell was that?â JJ questioned as he stood next to John B, looking to where Ana drove off.
John B just shook his head, âI donât, I donât know.â He looked down at his hand at the ring in his palm and just started to tear up, âI think I lost her.â
Pope stood in front of the two, âLost her? What did you do?â
John B snapped his head up, eyes wide, âThatâs the thing! I didnât do anything. She was going on about some messages and I tried to explain but she just wouldnât listen!â
JJ stood next to Pope to face John B, placing a hand on his shoulder, âAlright, alright, relax. Start from the beginning. What messages?â
John B rubbed his eyes and sighed, âI know the messages. It was just stuff me and Sarah talked about. Times before college where none of us were even thinking about a future and just worried about what Rafe and the Kooks were gonna do to us next.â He looked up to the sky and sighed again, âWhy would she think I still had feelings for Sarah?â
Both of his friends looked at each other like they knew what happened and John B noticed their silence. He looked back at them, eyeing the both of them, âWhat? What?â
Pope took a breath, âHow did Ana even see these messages? Did you show her?â
John B looked at him like he asked something ridiculous and shook his head, âNo, there was no reason to. We just talked about stuff from the past that Ana already knows about. I donât even know how she got screenshots of them.â
JJâs eyebrow rose, âScreenshots? Thatâs what she had when she brought this up?â John B nodded and JJ just shook his head, âThen dude, if you didnât show her those messages then thereâs only one other person that wouldâve.â
John B was confused but quickly realized what he was leading to, âSarah? Why would Sarah show her those messages? And even if she did, what would make Ana mad about them? I already said she knew about the stuff we talked about.â
Pope shook his head, âIf Sarah showed her those messages, she probably only showed what you said and put them into a context that made it look like, you know, you wanted Sarah again.â
John B shook his head, âNo, thatâs not-â He sighed, âWhy would she do that? She knows how I feel about Ana.â
âExactly,â JJ said. John B still looked confused which prompted JJ to roll his eyes, âWake the fuck up, man. Sarah Cameron has been trying to get you back since you first brought Ana to Outer Banks.â
âWhat?â John B looked at JJ in disbelief before looking to Pope, who nodded to confirm what the blonde was saying is true. âWell, why didnât anyone tell me?â
Pope shrugged, âBecause Ana didnât. No matter the shitty looks Sarah threw at her, Ana never said anything to us and obviously not to you.â
JJ shoved his hands in his pockets, âWe all decided that if Ana ever said one thing about Sarah, we were gonna say something. Kie even talked to Sarah but Sarah told her that there were no hard feelings. Clearly a lie.â
All the little pieces were clicking into place for him and John B realized that Sarah started this and played on her insecurities to make it look like something was going on between him and Sarah. John B was mad again but this time his anger was directed at Sarah Cameron.
John B pocketed the ring and a determined look crossed his face, âIâm gonna be right back.â John B moved with a purpose as he made his way to the VW bus, slamming the door behind him. He drove away from the Chateau heading straight for the Cameron residence, remembering Ana telling him thatâs where they were supposed to be spending their girlâs day. He needed to see Sarahâs face when he confronted her about this.
â
John B was lucky that Ward and Rose werenât home and Rafe was off somewhere so he didnât have to deal with questions from the Cameronâs or harassment from Rafe. He hopped out of the bus as soon as he pulled up and took the steps to the front door two at a time. He collected himself as he knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer.
A minute later, Wheezie opened the door, curious as to why John B was there, âHey, John B. I thought it was girlâs day. No boys allowed.â
He smiled at her, âYeah, I know, but this a bit of an emergency.â
She just nodded, clueless to what was about to happen, âOkay. Theyâre upstairs in Sarahâs room.â Wheezie stepped aside to let John B in and closed the door behind him.
He didnât even stop to thank her, just made his way straight upstairs to Sarahâs room. He didnât even knock on the door, barging right in and ceasing the talking going on. Kie and Sarah were surprised and confused, completely caught off guard by the abrupt and aggressive entrance.
Kie sat up in Sarahâs bed and chuckled a little, âJB, whatâre you doing here? Anaâs not here.â She could see the look on his face and realized something was up. âWhatâs up, whatâs going on?â
John Bâs eyes never left Sarah and the longer he looked at her, the angrier he got, âWhy donât you ask Sarah? She knows. She knows whatâs up and why Ana isnât here, donât you?â
Sarah stayed quiet, feeling the guilt rising as Kie eyed her before looking back at John B, âSarah said that Ana left the Wreck because something came up.â She looked at Sarah, âRight?â
John B raised an eyebrow at Sarah, waiting for her to come clean but Sarah just said nothing as she stared back at him.
He took it upon himself to speak for her, âThe something that came up was Ana coming to the Chateau to break up with me.â
Kieâs eyes practically popped out of her head, mouth dropping open in shock, âWhat?! Break up with you, why?â
John B didnât even attempt to let Sarah say anything, telling the story himself, âBecause Sarah showed Ana messages I sent Sarah talking about old Pouge times and twisted them to make it seem like I was trying to get back with her.â
Kie jumped up from the bed and stared at Sarah in shock, âWhat the hell, Sarah! Why would you do that?â
Sarah stood up, a hurt look on her face, âBecause! Because John B wasnât supposed to bring back some bitch from UNC here! Itâs supposed to be me and him and he just brings like we were nothing?!â
John B stormed up to her and Kie had to hold him back, âDonât you ever call her a bitch. And we were nothing, Sarah. You said it yourself, long-distance wasnât going to work so we had to stop trying to force it. You said that.â
Sarah stomped her foot, âI know what I fucking said but I didnât actually think you would move on with someone else!â
John B was about to explode on Sarah but Kie pushed back some more, telling him to cool down. She turned around to face Sarah, almost as mad as John B is. âSarah, I canât believe you would do something like this. I even asked you how you felt about Ana and John B and you said there were no hard feelings. You lied and you sabotaged their relationship. If anyone is the bitch, itâs you.â
Sarah was on the verge of tears as John B stepped forward, âEven if Ana and I had broken up before this, you and I wouldâve never worked out. If you canât accept that fact and move on then just cut me out of your life. Matter of fact, especially after this, Iâm gonna cut you out.â He shook his head at her, âThereâs no way I can be around someone this manipulative.â
John B turned his back on Sarah and walked out of her room. Kie didnât have to tell Sarah that she felt the same as John B as she too walked out of the room after grabbing her things. She ran after John B and got into the bus with him, giving him a sad look as he sat in the driverâs seat in deep thought.
Kie placed a hand on his shoulder, bringing him out of his head, âJB? Whatâre you thinking?â
He sighed and looked over at her, tears in his eyes, âI want to fix this, I have to fix this.â
Kie just nodded, âOkay, then fix it.â
He shook his head and shrugged, âHow? What if she doesnât believe me or want to hear what I have to say? I donât even know where to even fucking find her!â
She quieted him down and squeezed his shoulder, âOkay, okay, relax. I think I might know where she went.â
His head snapped towards her as he felt hopeful for the first time since this all started, âWhere?!"She gave him a gentle smile, "You know the spot I showed you that JJ goes to when he needed an escape from home?â He nodded and she continued talking, âWell, Iâm sure sheâs there if she wanted to be alone. I mean she doesnât know this place like we do, she doesnât have a lot of places to go to be alone.â
He breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at her, âGod, Kie, youâre the best.â
She beamed at him, âOf course I am. Now, drop me off at the Chateau before you go and get your girl.â
John B nodded as he started up the bus, hoping that he could get Ana back. He at least had to try.
â
John B pulled up to the spot and knew he was in the right place when he spotted Anaâs car. He didnât know how he was going to start apologizing but he knew that it had to come from the heart. He got out of the car and walked the trail that led to the clearing. John B stopped in his tracks when he came to the clearing and saw Ana sitting on a boulder.
He took a breath before making his presence known to her, âAna?â
She sat up straighter when he said her name before turning her head to face him. At that moment, he didnât care if she ever did forgive him, he was just glad that he found her.
Ana sighed as she moved off the boulder and stood facing him, arms crossed across her chest, âHi.â
He flashed her a smile and took a few steps closer to her, still a little distance between them, âHi.â John B scratched the back of his head as he started racking his brain on where to start, âUh, Kie told me youâd be here.â Great start John B.
She nodded and moved a piece of hair behind her ear, âYeah, she called me and told me you were coming.â John B was glad that even though she knew he was coming, she didnât try and leave before he showed up. âShe told me what happened at Sarahâs, what you said.â
He nodded, âAfter the guys clued me in about how Sarah was treating you and what she did at the Wreck, I went over there to set her straight.â Ana just nodded, kicking at the ground, before John B spoke up again, âWhat I donât get though is why you didnât say anything about how you felt about Sarah. I mean, I get why Kie, JJ, and Pope didnât but why didnât you?â
Ana just shrugged, âBecause she was still your friend and I didnât want to complain about a feeling I had without proof. You wouldâve thought I was some crazy, jealous girlfriend and pushed you more towards her.â
He shook his head at her and moved closer, âThat never wouldâve happened. Sarah used me to cheat on Topper and practically played with my heart before I even met you. You, you have been honest with me from the start and I trust you and would listen to whatever you said and believe every word.â
She felt the tears build with every word and roughly wiped at her face, âI had this feeling about Sarah right when we started going out but you were fresh from being whatever with Sarah. I thought if I said anything, youâve just thought about Sarah and realized you made a mistake.â
John B scoffed, âWhat? That never wouldâve happened, Ana.â
âHow do you know that?!â She dropped her hands from her chest, becoming frustrated like sheâd been earlier, âJohn B, I was there every time you vented about Sarah and you talked about how you thought about her all the time. You canât tell me you wouldnât have gone back to her!â
âI know I wouldnât because I didnât love her!â
That silenced just about every thought through Anaâs mind. She knew that John B knew how much saying those three little words meant to her, how serious she felt about them, and hearing him say it shocked her.
He sighed before taking a breath, âSince the day we started talking, just as friends, I wasnât thinking about Sarah like I used to, and the more time we spent together, the less I thought about her. When I said that I missed how life used to be, I was talking about living without thinking about school and responsibilities. Living day to day and thinking about what shit the Pogues would get up to that day. I never meant I didnât want to be with you.â
He moved closer till he was standing within armâs reach of her. âI stopped thinking about Sarah because I was thinking about us, about you. I was thinking about what I could do to make you smile more, how I could convince you to stay longer when youâd spend the night in my room.â He placed a hand on her cheek, wiping a stray tear away, âI didnât think about Sarah anymore because she wasnât the love of my life. You are.â
John B placed his free hand on her other cheek, pulling her in closer, âAna Cecilia Morillo, I love you with everything I have and I will try as hard as I can so you know that.â
Ana couldnât help the tears that fell but they werenât out of frustration or anger, she knew in her heart they were from happiness and love. She grabbed his wrists and held his hands to her face, almost as if she thought he was gonna remove them at any moment, âIâm the love of your life?â
He smiled down at her and nodded, âYouâre it for me, Ana. I donât want anyone else.â
She nodded at him, âYouâre it for me too. I love you, JB.â
John B pulled her in for a kiss and put every ounce of love that he felt for her in it. Ana truly felt like he was taking her breath away and hearing him say he loves her was one thing but she could practically feel it.
Ana was the one to pull away first since he quite literally took his breath away. Neither of them could stop the silly grins on their faces and they didnât want them to stop. John B would pay anything in the world to see her smile like that.
John B reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring sheâd given back to him earlier. âSo what do you say now?â
âI sayâŠâ Ana pretended to think about it before she took the ring back and placed it back on her finger, âLetâs see what the future holds for us.â
John B smiled wide and kissed her once more, âI like the sound of that.â
John B and Ana knew there were going to more tough times ahead of them but the love they shared between the two of them made them feel prepared to take on any bump in the road that came their way.
Summary:Â Kyle and Andy were once strong and thought to be the couple to make it to the end but life had other plans. With Andyâs lies and Kyle lingering love for Liz, their relationship was over to the point of feeling like nothing could repair it. Now, Andy is ready to try again but she stumbles upon something that changes everything. Can she move on and start again?
Warnings:Â slight angst, some sad vibes but a nice ending
A/N:Â andromeda is an oc, possibly the first oc i've thought about seriously and actually planning more works for (don't quote me on that), maybe even a mini-series or a full-blown fic. The basics about her without giving too much of the imagine away is that sheâs a pre-k teacher and mainly friends with Isobel and Maria but is friendly with Liz and Rosa. The way this ends, Iâm leaning heavy on the side of there being a second part but it could possibly serve as a stand alone.
For once, Andy was alone with her thoughts which was a dangerous thing for her since the one thought on her mind was her ex, Kyle Valenti.
Trying to think of a million other things and not the one big, sad thing looming over her head is a tough task. Itâs a tougher task when she sees him everywhere, making it practically impossible to not think about him. Andy signed up for almost every school activity that kept her busy and not holed up in her apartment consumed with the thought of one man. Whenever sheâd seem him out in town, sheâd walk in the other direction to steer clear of any kind of conversation that could happen between them.
She was in her classroom, her little ones had all been taken outside for their playtime by another teacher while she stayed inside to get everything ready for snack time. Andyâs back was to the door when she heard it open and someone walk in; with the lack of tiny footsteps following and a chorus of chatter, she knew the kids werenât back inside yet. âNora, did something happen?â
âUh, itâs not Nora.â
Andy froze because she knew that voice all too well. She slowly turned around as she came face-to-face with the one person sheâd been trying so hard to avoid.
Kyleâs hands were in his pockets as he gave her a friendly smile, âCan we talk?â
Andyâs mind reeled with the memories she was trying so hard to bury deep down.
âââââ
The Night Before
Andy had heard from Maria about Kyleâs brush with danger, almost getting killed if it hadnât been for Maria and Michael being there. She was stuck at the school but Maria made sure to call her and tell her what happened. Andy finished up before heading over to the hospital to see Kyle and make sure he was okay; they hadnât been on the small talk phase of their break up but that didnât mean she didnât care about him any less.
When she got there, sheâd asked around trying to find him and it took almost five people to point her in the right direction. Andy felt like she finally found him when she heard his voice but her footsteps slowed when she heard someone elseâs. Being the curious person that she was, Andy made quick, quiet steps closer to where the voices were coming from and peered in to see what was going on. She saw Kyle, his shirt was off, probably from patching himself up from what she could see, but he wasnât alone.
There was a girl with him and they both seemed friendly with each other and before she knew it, he was kissing her. Andy let out a small gasp, quickly covering her mouth and pressing her back against the wall to not be seen. When she looked up, she was met with her own reflection but thatâs not what caught her eye. She looked slightly over to the left and saw Kyle looking right back at her; it was like every nerve in her body was firing off and it only took a second for her to react, leaving the hallway she was in as quickly as she had got in.
Their break up was only a few weeks ago and to see him moving on so quickly broke everything inside her. Andy cried in her car outside the hospital for what felt like hours before finding the strength to drive home where she cried herself to sleep.
âââââ
The image of Kyle with that girl was burned into her mind as she saw him standing in front of her now.
Andy took a breath and attempted to present herself as calm and composed. âSure, the kids are outside playing right now,â She crossed her arms over her chest and shrugged, âSo, whatâs up.â
He sighed and shook his head, âLook, Iâm just gonna cut to the chase. I know you were at the hospital last night.â
Andy shrugged it off, âYeah, Maria called me last night and told me what happened. I just wanted to make sure you were okay.â
Kyle shook his head, âI gathered that much but thatâs not what Iâm talking about and you know it.â His hands were out of his pockets, one going to rub the back of his neck, âI know you saw me with Steph.â
Andy scoffed; she really was trying to hold it together but hearing him say her name started the cracks in her heart, ââStephâ? Thatâs her name, huh?â
Kyle sighed, âAndy, come on-â
She shook her hand; clearly, the agitation was evident on her face. It was something about her that he recognized right away with knowing each other for so long, âNo, no, itâs fine, right? I mean, whatâs there to talk about? We broke up, what, three weeks ago and youâre already moving on?â Andy scoffed again, âIâm so happy for you, Kyle. Truly, I am.â
It was Kyleâs turn to scoffed, âCut the bullshit, Andy. I know thatâs not how you feel. If that were really true, you wouldâve stayed to ask how I felt, maybe even introduced yourself to Steph. Not run out of there like the building was on fire.â
Andy threw her hands up in the air, âYou wanted me to introduced myself to the girl youâve replaced me with? Are you fucking kidding me?â The tears were starting to build and it was only a matter of seconds before they fell, âOr is she just another replacement for Liz like I was?â
Kyle groaned, his anger growing. When they had first started dating, Andy had voiced how she felt about Kyle still being hung up on Liz but heâd reassured her every time that Liz was in the past and she was his future. âThis is not about Liz, itâs never been about Liz.â He was growing more and more frustrated as the conversation carried on, âThis is about you. About you not moving on.â
She looked at him like he had five heads, âMoving on? Itâs been three weeks, Kyle. Iâm sorry if being in a relationship with someone I loved and trusted is hard for me to move on from.â Andy gestured at him and sighed, âI guess it was easy for you. You had no problem moving on. Really brings some things to light now.â
His arms crossed over his chest, confusion on his face, âWhat things? What are you talking about?â
Andy mirrored his stance, âClearly if it was so easy for you to move on, you never loved me like I loved you.â
Kyleâs face grew serious, his arms falling to his side, âWhat? Andy, that is not true and you know it.â
The tears were streaming down her face now. She wiped them away but it was a futile attempt as they just kept falling, âDo I? Almost all the dates we planned were canceled because of Liz. You never told me what you guys did so it was easy to assume the worse.â
Kyleâs face softened as she spoke, but he quickly changed to look serious again, âI wasnât the only one that kept secrets.â
Andy scoffed, wiping at her face again. She started setting up the plates for the kidsâ snack as she spoke, âMy secret was personal to me, Kyle. Unlike you, I actually planned on telling you the truth. On the night of our one year,â She stood up straight to face him, âBut where were you? With Liz. It was clear where your priorities were.â
Kyle walked closer to Andy, almost within arms reach of her, âIf you had just stayed and we talked this out, even yelled this out, then I wouldâve known the truth about you being an alien, you wouldâve known the truth about me helping Liz.â
She groaned in frustration, âGod, Kyle, donât you think I wanted to? I wanted to stay and tell you everything despite you being where you were but I was so tired of yelling about Liz, having the same argument over and over. I couldnât do it anymore.â
He reached a hand out to her, hand nearing her wrist but she pulled away. Kyle stuffed his hands back in his pockets, âI just donât get how you could leave without saying anything."Â
She sighed, the tears finally drying from her eyes, "You made it easy.â
Before he could say anything else, Andy looked over his shoulder and noticed the kids lining up to come inside. She took a deep breath and wiped at her face some more, âLook, the kids are coming back inside and Iâm done having this conversation. Be happy with whoever, Kyle, I donât care anymore. Now, leave.â
The air was tense between them as Kyle stared at her one last time before leaving without saying another word. Andy attempted to calm her nerves down as she finished getting the snacks ready. When the kids came inside, there was a rise in volume as they all chattered about snack time. One of the other teachers had come up to her, concern written all over her face but Andy quickly reassured her that everything was fine. She put on a smile and focused on the kids, wanting to believe herself that everything was truly fine.

At The Crashdown Cafe
After work was over, Andy asked a friend of hers to cover her with a bake sale she was supposed to be in charge of. After dealing with Kyle she felt so drained that she just needed to take a break. She was at home for most of the evening but it soon became overwhelming because her thoughts were racing and no amount of distractions were helping. Andy drove to the cafe, in hopes of eating something that would make it easier for her to fall asleep.
When she got there, Liz was just about to lock up but seeing the distressed look on her face, Liz gave Andy the keys and told her to lock up when she was done. The relationship between Liz and Andy was a complicated one but she knew she had no reason to not like Liz because of her own insecurities.
Andy went behind the counter and made herself a shake since cooking was not in her wheelhouse. Her head shot up when she heard someone opening up the door and was face-to-face with Kyle all over again.
She poured a few cherries on the top of her milkshake, diverting her attention away from him, âLiz isnât here.â
He sighed, âIâm not looking for Liz. She told me youâd be here.â
Andyâs gaze flickered back to him before going back to the shake, âWhat are you looking for me for?â
Kyle sighed as he walked further into the cafe, âLook, Andy, we need to talk.â
She laughed sarcastically, âFunny, the last time you said that, it didnât end well.â She got a can of whipped cream out, âMy emotional capacity is broken right now so Iâm not emotionally equipped to handle this talk."Â
Kyle shook his head, "Iâm sorry.â
Andy stopped what she was doing and eyed him, âYouâre what?â
He rolled his eyes, âDonât do that, alright? I said Iâm sorry.â He sighed, âI knew youâd be upset seeing me with Steph and I intended to just talk about it calmly. Clearly, I donât know how to do that.â
Andy scoffed, mumbling under her breath how that was an understatement but from the look of his pointed gaze, Kyle heard her clearly. She sighed and put more cherries on top of the whipped cream, âIâm sorry too. Everything was just anger and it was unnecessary.â
Kyle shook his head, âNo, it was all necessary. We never did this when we ended things so it was high time for it. Like you said, I make it easy.â
At that moment, Andy felt regret for the last things she said to him. It was anything but easy leaving Kyle and she truly regretted not staying, even if her staying resulted in a screaming match. âKyleâŠâ
Kyle shook his head, âNo, no, you were right. I didnât make you a priority like I should have and I regret that.â The laugh he let out wasnât genuine, it was humorless, âI was just waiting for you to tell me that you hate me.â
She was shocked. Andy can be an aggressive person, speak her mind, and not care who she hurts but sheâs never hated a single person in her entire existence. Hating Kyle? That was something she wasnât even capable of. âKyle,â His gaze was on her as she stepped from behind the counter and walked closer to him, âLoving you, loving any person, takes so much energy. For me, that energy canât be destroyed.â She stood in front of him with her arms crossed, âKyle, you know Iâve never hated anyone and even if I could, youâd be the last person Iâd hate.â
He looked confused, âWhy?â
She smiled softly, âYouâre my best friend, I trust you with my life. Nothing about you, being with you or loving you or even leaving you was easy.â Andy placed a hand on her chest as she felt the tears welling up, âHating you would be the hardest thing Iâd have to do, harder than moving on. I donât want to be mad at you anymore, itâs exhausting.â
They both shared a laugh over that and finally shared a genuine smile with each other. Kyle opened his arms up for a hug and Andy walked right into him, wrapping her arms around his waist. They stood like that in the middle of the cafe before he kissed the top of her head and they pulled away.
Kyle gestured back at the milkshake, âYou make enough for two?â
She laughed, âOf course, I did.â Andy started making her way behind the counter with Kyle following behind her, âDonât worry though, Iâll make one for you.â
They shared another laugh before getting into a comfortable conversation, talking about old times. Things between them wouldnât be the same but at least they were at a place where they could be friends again.
Ending Author Notes:Â i wrote this five years ago and rereading it, i'm already plotting for another installment for these two
Characters:Â Michael Guerin, Kyle Valenti, Alex Manes, Maria DeLuca, Max Evans, Isobel Evans, Liz Ortecho
Word Count:Â 3252 words
Summary: After a rocky event that put a slight strain on their relationship, Michael and Sage are going through a âbreakâ. Everyone has tried to get to the bottom of everything to get them back on track, all efforts not ending well, until a little surprise gets thrown into the mix that may or may not help in the end.
Warnings:Â some angst, fighting, arguing, pregnancy
A/N: i legit saw this gif and was like âdamn, iâve got the perfect little one shot that can go with thatâ and suddenly this was born. i actually had a fic in mind for this pairing, thereâs a line that gives a very subtle hint that their real beginning was pretty rocky, and this is more like a peak into a random moment in their life together.
âGuerin, if you keep staring at me like that, Iâm going to throw something at you.â
Not a single person that knew Sage and Michael wouldâve guessed either of them wouldâve been in this situation. The gang guessed Michael wouldâve gotten himself in some kind of trouble at some point and while they didnât know Sage that long, they didnât think she wouldâve ended up in the waiting room of the hospital to see if she is pregnant.
One reason no one wouldâve guessed this was would happen was that Michael and Sage had broken up, or âtaken a breakâ as the two claim, three weeks before the doctor visit.Â
There was a minor disagreement that turned into a full-blown argument which resulted in the two taking some time apart. Isobel figured it wouldâve been a couple of days and Sage honestly thought the same but three weeks later and they were still awkwardly avoiding each other and putting everyone else in the uncomfortable position of taking sides.Â
Kyle, Maria, and Isobel took turns keeping Sage company at her floral shop, when they went out for drinks or when she was home by herself. Michael was kept company by Alex, Liz, and Max here and there but with him normally retreating to Sanderâs, he rarely had to be kept occupied by company. Though that didnât stop any of them from coming by unannounced.Â
The disagreement started when Sage casually dropped the hint that she and Michael should move in together. Alarm bells went off in his head and, trying not to upset her, Michael tried to push that idea out of the spotlight. Sage took this as him not taking things seriously with the two of them and not caring but Michael saw it as her trying to push things faster than he was ready. The fights escalated to the point of the appearance of a scary silence before Michael grabbed what few things he kept in her place and left.Â
Whenever they were in a room together, the silence was less scary and more uncomfortable. Isobel tried to talk some sense into Michael, lecturing him that if he loved her like he said he did, why wouldnât he want to take that next step with her? Alex tried to get Sage to see things from Michaelâs point of view, how he has walls and she couldnât just force them down when she wanted.Â
Both sides tried to get the other to understand but both remained firm. As far as anyone knew, Sage and Michael hadnât spoken to one another in the three weeks theyâve been on their break and thatâs true, they hadnât.Â
Technically.Â
Technically, they hadnât spoken the night Michael showed up at Sageâs door, a week after their break had started, with nothing but the fierce look in his eyes. There wasnât a moment lost before the two started going at it. No words, just the pent of feelings finally flowing out of them as they made their way to her bedroom. They just let their actions speak for them and when it was all over, it was like it never happened.Â
The two of them sleeping together didnât solve their problems and they knew that. Promises were made to keep this between the two of them as to not give their friends hope that all was forgiven. Two weeks later, Sage was staring hard at a pregnancy test, hoping she could force it to change from positive to negative.Â
Isobel and Maria had been by her side during the first three tests and by the sixth one, Isobel called Kyle for help. There was no way they could go to a regular doctor because of the big red flag of Sage being an alien so Kyle was their only option. So was being at the hospital at the deadest time.Â
Sage didnât tell Michael until the day before she was set to go meet up with Kyle. He was at a loss for words; they were already deep in the battle of whether they were moving too fast and now there was a chance they were going to have a kid together. Tensions were high and neither knew where they stood and waiting in an empty hospital room wasnât solving any problems.Â
Sage rolled her eyes and groaned as she heard Michael pacing, she didnât have to look at him to see the look on his face. âSeriously, Guerin, just sit down somewhere, youâre killing me right now."Â
Michael let out a loud exhale, "Well, I donât know what you want me to do right now, Valenti taking fucking forever is killing me."Â
Kyle had told them he needed to get what was needed for the testing since this wasnât his area of expertise and he couldnât ask anyone for help so he wouldnât raise any red flags. The waiting was starting to get to them.Â
Before they could start tearing into each other again, Kyle walked into the room which made both aliens let out a breath of relief. Kyle could feel the tension in his room as he walked in, putting his gloves on, "Alright, letâs get this started because it can be clearly seen neither of you want to be here right now."Â
Sage gave him a sarcastic smile, "Oh really? Canât you tell weâre both just bursting with excitement?"Â
Both Kyle and Michael rolled their eyes, Kyle taking a seat in a chair next to where Sage was sitting. "Look, youâve got two options here: blood test or urine test."Â
Michael stepped up and chimed in, "Which is faster?"Â
Kyle passed a glance at Michael before looking up to Sage who was already fixing Michael with a glare, "Iâm pretty sure when he said âyouâve got two optionsâ, he was talking about me making the choice. You can just stand in the corner and continue pacing and breathing hard like youâre getting paid to."Â
Michael let out a humorless chuckle and shook his head, "Thank you so much for delegating this to me.â He turned to walk back to where he was standing before turning back around, âYou know it took two of us to do this, feels like we both should weigh in on the options."Â
Kyle turned his attention to Michaelâs words, "Speaking of the two of you, weâre all wondering when exactly this happened. Like-"Â
A clap of Sageâs hands grabbed the attention of the two in the room, "Seriously not the time for any line of questioning. Letâs just focus on the two tests, okay?"Â
There was a moment of silence before Kyle jumped back into focus mode, "Right. Like I said, two options and both are 99% accurate. Which do you want to do?"Â
It was wrecking her nerves being in this room, let alone the circumstances between her and Michael. Sage took and breath and shrugged, "Can I do both?"Â
Kyle chuckled and nodded, "Yeah, if you want to more than 99% sure. Well, twice that.â He stood up from the chair, âThe results from the urine test should take a few minutes and the blood test results take a few hours if itâs done here. Iâll take your blood now and get the testing on that started."Â
He could see the apprehension from them both at the mention of the blood testing being done at the hospital, "Relax, okay?â He said, trying to reassure them, âLiz is waiting outside to test the blood away from the machines that track everything."Â
Michael shrugged, unsure of the reason for being in the hospital, "Then why the hell are we here and not in Lizâs little lab?"Â
Kyle sighed, exasperated, "Because if she was going to just do the urine test, I can do it from here just fine. Believe it or not, your alien blood may set off some bells, but your urine is just urine."Â
Michael leaned against one of the cabinets and crossed his arms over his chest, satisfied with the answers but still not comfortable being here. Kyle prepped Sage for the blood test, talking her through the whole thing as she was still uneasy about the whole thing. After he finished and stored the blood away, Kyle told her that starting the urine testing was easy and she wouldnât need him there for that part. He left the room to hand the blood over to Liz, leaving Sage and Michael actually alone for the first time in three weeks.Â
The awkward silence was back before Sage took the little cup Kyle left behind for her and headed to the bathroom. Before she entered, Sage stopped with her hand on the handle and turned to Michael, "Are you just gonna stand out here while I pee in a cup?"Â
Michael looked confused, "Where else am I supposed to go?â Sage looked to the door of the room then back to him, âWhat, out there? Why would I go out there?"Â
Sage scoffed, "I donât want you to hear me pee in a cup!"Â
He laughed, "Are you kidding?! Iâve heard you do a lot more than pee, you know that right?"Â
There was a fire in Sageâs eyes as she point to the door, "Out. Now."Â
With a reluctance in his step, Michael filed out of the room and left Sage alone. She let out a breath she didnât know she was holding in. She finally made her way into the bathroom where she was truly alone with her thoughts.Â
After everything she had been through with Michael, she never thought she wouldâve ended up here in this moment. Theyâve been through the absolute worst, even before they got together, and yet they were still in each otherâs livesâŠjust not the way they wanted to be. She wanted to believe that all they needed was a little time but what if he realized he liked being apart from her, that he was right and didnât want to move forward with her. Sage had no idea where she stood with Michael anymore and she wasnât sure if this was going to help or hurt them.Â
So many questions raced through her mind. What would happen if she was pregnant? Would they get back together, stay apart? There were so many questions racing through both their minds and without a proper talk between the two of them, things would go unanswered and tensions would stay high.Â
Sage hadnât realized how long she had been in the bathroom until hearing a knock at the door, Kyleâs voice coming from the other side, "Sage? Hey, you okay in there?"Â
Tears were coming down her face and she hadnât realized it. Furiously wiping her face, Sage finished the task at hand, "Yeah, yeah, Iâll be out in a minute.â She washed her hands, took one more look at herself before exiting the bathroom.Â
Kyle waited for her on the other side with a sympathetic smile on his face, âHey. Uh, Liz said sheâd call you and Michael when the results are in from the blood test.â Sage nodded as Kyle continued, âI can get started on the urine test now."Â
Sage handed over the little cup and followed Kyle out of the room and into the hall where Michael was waiting, leaning against the wall. "You guys can wait here and Iâll be back in a few minutes,â He said, looking at both of them as he spoke, âIf anyone comes around, Sage can just use her, you know, powers."Â
Both nodded at his words and started to get comfortable as Kyle started walking away. He stopped in his tracks and turned back to them, gaining their attention. Kyle sighed as he gave them a small smile, "I donât know what you guys want out of these results butâŠ"Â
Sage mirrored his smile, "Itâs okay,â She looked to Michael, âWeâre gonna be fine.â Michael nodded and did his best to look reassuring to Kyle. He nodded and headed to the testing area.Â
After a few beats of silence, Michael spoke up, âAre we really going to be okay?"Â
Sage took a seat in a chair opposite of Michael in the hallway, letting out a big sigh, "That depends,â Her eyes met his, âWhat are you going to do when he comes back with the first results? What are you going to do when we get the call from Liz?"Â
He didnât understand her line of questions, what did she think he was going to do? He stood up straight, shoving his hands in his pockets, "What, you think Iâm gonna just throw a fit or short circuit something if I donât like what I hear?"Â
She shrugged and ran her hand through her hair, "I donât know, maybe? You could just switch the subject and try to say this is all "moving real fastâ, right? Thatâs what youâve said before and that was just moving in.âÂ
Michael groaned and rubbed at his eyes, "So weâre getting into this now?â He groaned again, âSage, this is not about living together, this is a baby. Another life. Theyâre not the same thing."Â
Sage was trying everything in her power to not blow up on him, and him with her, but it was getting harder with each passing second, "I know thereâs a difference between the two, Michael, but do you not remember how you reacted when I brought up you moving in with me? You acted like I was asking you to sign your life over to me. How am I supposed to think youâd react to having a child with me?"Â
His hands were balled into a fist but he was trying hard not to, "I donât know what you want from me right now. You didnât even tell me you even thought you were pregnant until yesterday! Yet, everyone else knew weeks ago. I think Iâm reacting well within my right."Â
Sage took a breath before standing up, "Honestly, Michael, just tell me what you want. Tell me, for once, what you want."Â
"You wanna know what I want? Instead of just making the decisions without asking me and just thinking Iâm just gonna go along with it?â Michael was now not holding back his anger, âWhat I want is to go back to before this fight, when everything was perfectly fine before the whole living together crap. Before this stupid break, before you thought-"Â
He stopped himself from finishing his sentence but Sage had an idea of where he was trying to go, "Before I thought, what? Thought that I was pregnant? Thought that I wanted to move forward with you? Which one of my thoughts do you wish just never happened?"Â
Michael couldnât contain the frustration building inside him and let out a burst of energy, sending a few chairs down the way into the wall, "What I wish is to not be a part of this!"Â
Sage felt gutted by his words. She didnât think the results would magically solve or fix anything but she didnât think he would feel this way. Michael could see how his words affected him and thatâs not how he meant it, "Sage, I-"Â
âHey!âÂ
They both turned their heads to see Kyle storming down the hallway and he was not pleased, "What the hell, you guys?! Someone almost called security because there was shouting and the sound of things being thrown."Â
Michael and Sage stepped back to give each other space, having gotten closer and closer as their world got more heated. Kyle could see that neither of them were going to offer any explanations so he held up the folder in his hand, "Letâs just do this, okay?"Â
The two possible parents to be focused on the reason they were really here. Kyle sighed as he opened the folder and read over the resulting, looking back at the two in front of him as he closed the folder, "Youâre pregnant, Sage.â He crossed his arms in front of him, âLiz still has a few hours for the blood test."Â
There was an unexplainable array of emotions at the results but Sage knew immediately how Michael felt from his words alone. She sighed, "Thanks, Kyle.â She turned to Michael, âWell, youâre getting your wish. Enjoy it.â Without another word, Sage turned on her heels and headed out of the hospital, already dialing Isobelâs number.Â
Michael watched her leave, all the words he wanted to say to get her to stop died on his tongue. When he turned back to Kyle, he was met with a judgmental stare, âWhat the hell, Guerin?"Â
Michael groaned, "We just got into a fight. We havenât actually talked since I left her place so it all just came outâŠin the most wrong way possible."Â
Kyle rubbed at the eyes before rubbing at his temple, "What exactly did you say to her?"Â
He sighed and shook his head, "I said that I wished I was a part of this,â Kyle went to speak up but Michael beat him to the punch, âI didnât mean that I didnât want to be a part of our babyâs life, I meant I didnât want to be a part of the fighting and arguing but before I could tell her that, you came around the corner."Â
Kyle shook his head, "Wow, you just really have a way with words."Â
Michael shrugged, "What am I supposed to do?"Â
Kyle shrugged and crossed his arms over his chest, "Well, for one thing, youâre saying "ourâ so thatâs a start,â He stepped closer to Michael as he continued, "Look, I know I was on her side about you two moving in together but that doesnât mean I didnât get where you were coming from. Part of you, a prominent part, is scared with moving forward and I get that but know this: you love Sage, whether you two are fighting or not, you love her and you two are going to have a child together."Â
Michael was really listening to everything Kyle was saying and he knew he was right. He loves Sage and the time theyâve been apart felt like torture. Michael is scared about taking that step forward with Sage because then it means theyâre getting more serious; he falls hard but he hasnât spoken about future plans with someone before. This was all a new thing for him.Â
Kyle spoke again, "Michael, you need to set things straight with Sage because she thinks you not only donât see a future with her but that you donât want to be a part of your childâs life."Â
Michael knew that everything Kyle said was true. He thanked him for all he did for them before he headed for the exit. He was sure all the anger from Sage earlier was stemming from the fight that was still brewing between the two of them for the last few weeks and he couldnât deny that he wasnât still angry either. More so with himself than with her.Â
What neither knew is they were reacting out of fear. Fear of what was happening and of what was to come. All their friends knew that and they all decided to double down on their efforts to make things work.Â
-Â
Isobel was waiting for Sage at her apartment by the time Sage had shown up; the blonde had left immediately after getting the call, bringing Maria with her. They both had been waiting by the phone to hear the results. They both had sympathetic smiles on their face as Sage got closer, bags in their hands of what Sage could only assume was comfort food. Sage sighed and smiled at the two, "Well, you two work quick."Â
Isobel and Maria stepped forward and wrapped their arms around their friend, doing their best to comfort her through this one hug. Isobel kissed the side of Sageâs head, "Our girl needed us so we got the job done."Â
They separated but stood close, Maria looked past Sageâs shoulder and smiled, "Well, not just us that got the job done."Â
Sage was confused as she turned around to see what Maria was staring at, eyes landing on Alex and Max carrying take-out food with smiles on their face. Alex reached Sage first and brought her into a hug, "Heard a special alien princess is expecting so bought everything in Crashdown.â Alex let her go and Max moved in for a hug, âNot really but close enough."Â
Sage felt great about the friends she was surrounded by with the situation sheâs in. Though, she couldnât help but have one thought in her mind. She looked at all of them and smiled, "I really appreciate you all being here and really am feeling all the love but with whatâs going on-"Â
Maria held her hand up, "Hey, weâre not here as some kind of symbol of abandoning Guerin, heâs still our friend that we care deeply about him. Weâre here because our pregnant friend needs us to be.â She smiled at the dark-haired girl, âWeâre still rooting for the two of you and this is a tough time for you guys. You just need to relax right now, not stress yourself out."Â
Sage gave them all one more look, feeling her eyes water as she smiled more at them, "You guys really know how to make an pregnant alien smile, huh?â Everyone joined in the laughter, easing the mood.Â
Sage walked past Isobel and Maria to get to her door when she stopped in her tracks. Michael stood just a few feet away from her, with tears in his eyes but for an entirely different reason. No one said a word for what seemed like hours till Isobel stepped forward, taking the keys from Sageâs hands, âIâm gonna take these and weâre gonna go inside. You two should take some time.â Isobel and the others made their way inside, leaving the soon-to-be parents alone once more.Â
Once the door close shut, Sage put all her focus on the man in front of her, âWhatâre you doing here?â She questioned, wiping the tears from her face.Â
Michael cleared his throat and took a step forward, âI was coming here to talk to you, I didnât think everyone would be here.â He cleared his throat again, âI had a talk with Kyle after you left. I need to clear the air about some things."Â
Sage nodded for him to continue; this was the first time he was being open about his feelings with her and she didnât want to get in his way. Michael took a breath, "When I said I didnât want to be a part of this, I didnât mean I didnât want our baby. I didnât want to be a part of the fighting, I donât like fighting with you and I want our baby. Iâm scared as hell right now but I want this life with you, with our kid.â He sighed as he walked closer to Sage, âI felt like I wasnât ready to move forward with you or even think about it because I felt like I wasnât the future kind of guy that someone would want."Â
Sage couldnât hold back the tears and she wasnât sure if it was because of the hormones or because of Michaelâs words. She took steps closer to him, placing a hand on his arm, "Michael, you are that future kind of guy whether you realize it or not.â She gave him a smile before continuing, âYou love so passionately and with every part of you and thatâs why I love you.â She dropped her bag before placing both hands on his arms, âWith all that love from you, and from all of them in there, I know our baby is gonna have so much love."Â
Both of them were in tears, Michaelâs hands now on Sageâs waist, "You know I love you too, right?â He reached up to wipe some tears from her face as she nodded at his words, âI know you have no reason to believe me after all the shit that happened today or three weeks ago but I want all of this, this life with you and our baby. Our more than likely alien super baby."Â
Sage laughed at his words and Michael joined in. She wiped at his tears, "Yeah, our baby is definitely gonna be a super baby.â The two laughed some more, wiping the tears from each otherâs faces.Â
Michael smiled at the woman in front of him, the mother of his child, brushing his thumb across her cheek, âI love you, princess.â She smiled back at him, gripping his sides as she spoke, âI love you, Mikey.â He moved his hand to cup the back of her head, bring her in for a kiss. Both were trying to put forth every ounce of love they have for each other, making up for the lost time.Â
They broke apart at the sound of approaching footsteps and turned to see Kyle and Liz walking up. The two new arrivals were both excited to see the people they cared about together again. The two of them stood together, Michaelâs arm around Sageâs shoulders and her own around his waist, as their friends approached them, âThought youâd still be stuck at the hospital, Kyle."Â
Kyle shook his head, "I was only there to help you two so as soon as Michael left, I went over to Liz to check on the results."Â
Sage turned her attention to Liz, "I thought you just wouldâve called."Â
Liz shrugged, "Well, I was going to but Kyle showed up. Then he got a text from Alex saying that, and I quote, âa pregnant alien princess needs assistanceâ so we figured delivering this news was better in person."Â
Michael and Sageâs eyes travel down to the piece of paper in Lizâs hand. She lifted the paper and waved it in the air, "Well, you guys already knew this butâŠyouâre pregnant.â The smiles returned to the new parentsâ faces and their friends stepped forward for a group hug, congratulations were shared all around.Â
The group separated and Michael placed his hand on the doorknob, âHow about we get inside now before they all tear through the food that my pregnant girlfriend should have.â Everyone agreed and Michael opened the door, letting everyone in.Â
The rest of the group welcomed the new arrivals, making room around the living room table and passing plates around. Food was being shared along with smiles, life moving on and laughter just filling up the room. Sage stood by the kitchen, watching the scene playing out in front of her with a smile on her face.Â
Michael noticed she was starting to tear up again and moved to her side, âHey, is everything okay?"Â
Sage nodded as she smiled, wiping a few stray tears away, "Oh, yeah, Iâm just really happy right now.â She turned her attention to her friends, âHey, you guys?â They all stopped what they were doing or saying and looked to her, âI know these past few weeks have been rocky, to say the least, but I really appreciate everything you guys have done for both of us. Our alien super baby, as we are now affectionally calling our child,â They all join in laughter at her words, âIs going to be so loved by everyone in this room. I know us all meeting really stirred the pot but I donât think I wouldâve wanted my life to end up any other way.â Michael smiled at his girlfriend, taking her hand in his.Â
There was so much love in the room, all of it being channeled from person to person. Sage wiped at the tears on her face and smiled brightly, âOkay, forget all these tears, pretty sure this is only gonna get worse because of the fact we are having an alien baby but weâll learn as we go. Letâs eat!"Â
Rounds of agreements, cheers, and congratulations filled the room as they all settled in and enjoyed the food in front of them. They were a family in the unconventional sense but a family nonetheless. Being through the worst of it all, they were all walking down the path of new experiences. Sage and Michael knew their new path was going to be scary but they had each other and their friends, knowing there was nothing more they needed to start their new lives.
Pairing: Johnny Jaqobis x OC!Lucinda âLuckâ Dekra
Characters:Â Johnny Jaqobis, Yalena "Dutch" Yardeen, D'avin Jaqobis
Word Count:Â 1873 words
Summary:Â Johnny and Luck have danced around their infatuation for each other long enough and with pushing from Dutch and Dâavin, Johnny mans up and goes to Luckâs room on the ship to talk to her.
Warnings:Â none
A/N:Â so this idea had randomly popped in my head and I was typing out a summary when I basically wrote the whole so here it is. This could potentially turn into like little imagines or mini series about johnny and luckâs journey through their relationship, ups and downs; I even have an idea for an imagine about how luck and johnny first met, so let me know what yâall think of that.
If Dutch wanted to count on her hands how many times sheâs caught Johnny or Luck giving each other lovesick eyes like a couple of teenagers then she would need a hell of a lot of hands. Ever since Luck joined the trio, Johnny hasnât stopped staring at Luck whenever sheâs not staring at himâ itâs like a ridiculous cycle. Dutch and D'avin are just about tired of seeing this on the daily and decide a little âtalkâ is in order for dear old Johnny.
â
Confusion was written all over Johnnyâs face when he was forced in a seat, Dutch and his brother sitting across from him with unhappy looks on their faces. He raised his hands like he was surrendering, âLook, whatever you think I did, I didnât do and you have no proof.â
D'avin rolled his eyes, âShut up. Besides even if you did something, I wouldnât need proof, youâre always guilty.â He crossed his arms over his chest.
Johnny looked offended and the two started bickering about whether one of them was more guilty than the other. Dutch had about enough of the arguing, âBoys please!â She shouted, silencing the two, âWeâre all guilty of a lot of things but maybe we can get back to the task at hand?â
Johnny looked between the two, âWhat is the âtaskâ at hand? Why am I even here if I didnât do anything?â
âYouâre right, you didnât do anything.â Dutch spoke, âAs in, you didnât do anything about talking to Luck about how you feel about her from the looks you give her all the time.â
Johnny could feel the heat rising and spreading all through his face but he wasnât going to admit anything, âWhat? No, I look at her a normal amount, the same amount I look at the two of you.â
D'avin scoffed, âCut the shit, Johnny. You like this girl and you wanna love her up, just admit it.â
Johnny glared at his brother, âIâm not going to admit anything because thereâs nothing to admit.â He mirrored his brotherâs action, crossing his arms over his chest, âAnd who even says it that way? 'Love her upâ, seriously?â
"Oh, my god, ANYWAY!â Dutch let out a loud sigh, âWhether you want to admit it or not, anyone can tell from looking at the both of you how you feel about each other.â
Johnny brushed off her words, âI donât know whatâwait.â He stopped himself mid-sentence and leaned forward, âYou just said 'feelings for each otherâ? Are you saying that Luck likes me?â
D'avin smirked and leaned forward as well, âI thought there was nothing to admit?â
Johnny took a moment before trying to look like he was unbothered and collected, âThere isnât anything to admitâŠbut hypothetically, if there was, would there be a mutual thing to admit?â He looked at both of them, trying to remain calm.
Dutch clasped her hands and placed them on the table in front of her, âHypothetically?â Johnny nodded. Dutch shrugged, âHypothetically, maybe there would be mutual admission but thereâs only one way to find out for sure.â
Johnny just nodded, âRight. right, got it. Iâd have to actuallyâŠtalk to her.â He was deep in thought but quickly snapped out of it even though he knew neither of them believed this was all âhypotheticalâ. âHypothetically talk to her.â
Dutch and D'avin exchanged a look and got up from the table, âLet us know how that hypothetical situation ends for you, Johnny.â Dutch said as she and D'avin walked out of the room.
Johnny was left with his thought, his mind racing to figure out the right way to start this âhypothetical talkâ that didnât end in rejection or humiliation.
â
It wasnât even five minutes before Johnny found himself standing outside Luckâs room, completely out of his element with feelings like this; heâs practically sweating about what heâs going to say to her. Talking to Luck about anything else is different, it seemed easy without the pressure that things could end in a humiliating way but now he has to talk about his feelings for her to her face and the way he feels about her just about hit him almost like he ran into a brick wall.Â
He was trying to psych himself up, telling himself that this is easy and all he has to do is knock on the door, when the door opened and she was standing there with that innocent smile on her face. He knew that she was anything but innocent with the way she handles herself in a fight, weapons or no weapons.
âHey.â Johnny was at a loss of words just by looking at her. It was like every word from Dutch and Dâavin and even himself just moments before flew right out his head and into the trash.
âHi.â She was still smiling at him, the same way she always did and had done the day he met her. âI thought I heard talking out here so I thought Iâd check it outâŠand here you are.â
âHere I am.â Johnny let out a nervous chuckle and just continued to look at her in amazement. He didnât understand how one person, especially as small as she is, could make him feel so happy and terrified at the same time in this moment.
Luck smiled and shook her head at the dazed look on his face, âDid you need something, John? You were the one standing outside my door, kind of seems like you had something on your mind.â
Johnny seemed to snap out of his daze, âUh, right, yes. Yes, I did have something on my mind.â He huffed and shook his head, another chuckle escaping him, âAnd it seems like all the words just left my head.â
âOh, well, Iâm sorry.â She said with a sympathetic smile on her face.
He looked at her in confusion, âWhy are you sorry?â
She shrugged, âIâm guessing you were voicing whatever was on your mind when I opened the door and now whatever was on your mind is all jumbled up.â
He shook his head, âOh, no. No, no, no, itâs not your fault. Itâs not you â well, it is you but like not in a bad way. Thatâs what was, is on my mind. You are on my mind, like all the time.â He stopped talking and shook his head more, putting his hands on his waist as he scolded himself in his head, âNope, that was something that wasnât supposed to be said out loud. The one thought that stayed in my mind and I just had to say it out loud.â
Luck pressed her hand over his mouth, âYou gotta slow down on the talking, John.â She tried to stifle a laugh as she took her hand away, not wanting to make him feel bad or embarrassed about what he said.
Johnny just looked into her eyes, a faint smile on his face, âYou keep calling me John.â He smirked softly, "Youâre the only one who calls me John.â
Luck shook her head, slightly confused, "Not really, John. You do know that Zeph has called you John a few times and so has Lucy too.â
He chuckled and nodded, âWell, yes but you consistently do it. Itâs never John and Johnny, itâs always just, just John.â
She chuckled and gave him a weird look, âYeah, thatâs what I like calling you. I figured if everyone did it and it didnât bother you, it would be fine. If it does bother you that I call you John then I can stopââ
Johnny shook his head and smiled, âNo, no, donât. I like that you do.â Luck smiled at that as he continued, âI like a lot of things you do. I like a lot of things about you. Iââ
He looked her, looked at her just looking at him with a smile on her face. Her eyes shining bright like heâd never seen them do before and just like that, all the wild thoughts racing in his mind just stopped. âI like you. And if itâs not too forward, Iâm gonna kiss you now.â
Luck was at a loss of words and just nodded; sheâd wanted to hear him say that for a while and had even been trying to say it to him herself. Johnny didnât wait for her to say anything more as he moved his hands to cup her face and took a step closer to her, kissing her like heâd been dreaming of doing since the first time she beat him in a fistfight.
Luck gripped his wrists as she kissed him back. All that cliche, romance stuff she thought she was too tough to react to was just washing over her in waves and it made her feel jittery but in a good way.Â
She pulled away from the kiss, with a smile on her face that couldâve been permanent on her face from how hard she was smiling, âWere you standing outside my door, trying to work up the nerve to do this?â
Johnny smiled at her and shrugged, âMaybe. Well, it was more supposed to be with words and very little action but that all went right out the window when you smiled at me.â
They went to lean in for another kiss when a voice interrupted them, pulling apart to see Dutch and Dâavin standing there with knowing looks on their faces.
âAs happy as we are for this new development,â Dutch spoke, gesturing at the two of them, âWeâve got work to do, yeah?â Dutch and Dâavin walked away, still smiling.
Johnny turned back to face Luck, âWell, I guess we can continue this another time?â He moved his hands from her face to her waist, pulling her closer to him as much as he could.
Luck nodded, placing her hands on his chest, âThat I can do, John Boy. Maybe by then, youâll get those thoughts back that seemed to have escaped you.â
The two laughed together as Luck attempted to pull away from Johnny but her attempt was met with resistance as Johnny tried to keep her in place, âWait, one more for the road?â
Luck shook her head, âNuh-uh, âone moreâ in your world means a million more and then Dutch and Dâavin will be more pissed at us than happy for us.â Johnny tried to persuade Luck to give into him by holding onto her more and trying to kiss her again. Luck laughed an called out to the A.I., âLucy, tell John if we donât get moving, Dutch will coming looking for us again.â
âGet your ass moving, John.â
Johnny playfully frowned at Luck, âYouâre mean, ganging up on me with Lucy.â
Luck shrugged as she finally released herself from his grip, taking his hand in hers, âYou do what you gotta do. Besides, Lucyâs my girl. Right, Lucy?â
âDamn straight.â
Johnny laughed and trailed behind Luck as she pulled him along, âYouâre teaching her how to talk like you, arenât you?â
Luck smirked over her shoulder, âDamn straight.â Making Johnny, laugh more. He really was in deep with Luck and lucky for him, so was she with him.

Mo had hoped Natasha wouldnât ask her to do this, pray even that it wouldnât come down to this, but she knew there was no other way. She knew they had exhausted all of their efforts to bring Clint back home; well, not all efforts, thatâs where Maureen comes in.
Mo listened as Natasha and Rhodey droned on about Clintâs last whereabouts and where he was heading next but she was barely listening. She was thinking about the good times, the memories that calmed her when she woke with a nightmare in the middle of the night.
Her favorite was the day they got pizza and watch the sunset from the roof of the tower; an early memory, one so simple but it stuck with her to this day. It was the night of their first kiss.
â
Clint was laying on his back, leaning on his elbows as he finished his last slice and Mo sat up with her legs crossed, eyes closed as she let the breeze pass over her.
Clint knew what she was doing and it made him smile as he kicked his leg out to nudge her, âDonât go falling asleep on me now. Thereâs still pizza left to finish.â
Mo snickered as she shook her head, opening her eyes and turning her head to look at him, âYou know very well that Iâm not falling asleep.â She turned back around to face the sun, âWhy do you insist on making that joke every time we do this.â
He sat up straight, tossing the crust in the pizza box, âItâs my favorite joke and you know it.â Clint moved so that he was sitting right next to Mo, legs dangling off the side of the building. âSo, Maureenââ
Before he could even finish the sentence, Mo had punched him square in his chest, âYou know damn well that no one, and I mean no one, calls me that name.â A breeze blew her hair in her face and she smiled as she moved it behind her ear, âYouâre no exception, Barton.â
He let out a sigh as he raised his hand to place loose strands behind her ear, âYou are my exception, Mo.â His hand never left the side of her face, even when she turned to look at him, a soft smile on her face.
They had been dancing around the tension surrounding them, the flirtations back and forth, the lingering touches and the longing looks. It almost got too much to the point where everyone was noticing and wanted something to be done so the looks stopped. Clint and Mo knew that even if they gave in to their urges, the looks and touches wouldnât stop.
They looked into each otherâs eyes, Clintâs thumb softly sweeping over Moâs cheek as she took his free hand in her own. They both knew every touch, look, and thought was leading to this moment right now.
Clintâs hand moved from her cheek to her chin to bring her face closer to him, their lips meeting softly. The kiss was soft and light, the setting was simple, and it was still like fireworks going off. This was a kiss that Mo and Clint would never forget.
â
âMo? Mo!â
She snapped out of her thoughts to look at Natasha, âYes?â
Natasha could see the far off look in her friendâs eyes; she knew Mo had stopped listening the moment they started talking. Natasha herself had hoped theyâd be able to bring Clint home without having to involve Mo, knowing the emotions that ran wild between the two of them, but they had no choice. They actually had a shot at getting back everyone and they needed all the help they could get.
Natasha sighed, crossing her arms over her chest with a sympathetic look on her face, âDid you get that?â
Mo cleared her throat and nodded, âUh, yeah,â She fidgeted with her fingers, moving her hair behind her ear, âYeah, heâs in Tokoyo; get him and bring him back.â She looked up at Natasha, âWhatever it takes.â
Rhodey nodded and started going over the plans of extraction. Natasha knew there was more to the distant staring; sheâd known since The Accords, the battle that put Clint and Mo on opposite sides and things only got worse from then on. Natasha knew that Mo blamed herself for the strain on their relationship and after Thanos, there was nothing Natasha wanted more than to have things better for the sake of some kind of happiness.
Once the briefing was done, Rhodey left Natasha and Mo alone; Mo began to head to her room to get her things together when Natasha stopped her, âMo?â
Mo stopped in her tracks to face her friend, âNat, Iâll bring him back. I promise I will do what I can.â
Natasha gave her a sad smile, tears welling up in her eyes, shaking her head, âThatâs not what I was gonna say.â She wiped her face and took a breath, âI know that you blame yourself for whatâs happened between you two since The Accords but you shouldnât.â
Mo went to speak but Natasha stopped her, âJust let me finish, please.â She walked until she stood in front of Mo, taking one of her hands in her own, âI know, and you know this too, that he still loves you. After everything up until this point and probably into the future till the end, he will always love you.â
Natasha cleared her throat and wiped the stray tears away, âNow, enough of this sappy stuff,â They both laughed, brushing away any remaining tears, âBring our boy home.â
Mo nodded and gave Natasha a smile, âIâll bring him home.â
â
Every fiber in her body kept screaming that this was a terrible idea, that if Natasha couldnât bring him back, how was she supposed to. Natasha and Rhodey kept telling her that things were different for her but it was hard to believe. She could still see the look of betrayal on his face when she chose Natasha over him; it broke her inside and even more so when he wouldnât speak to her when she went to see him.
Mo clutched the necklace sheâd wore every day since their first kiss; a gold pendant in the shape of a lily, her favorite flower. Landing the Quinjet, Mo got her nerves together the best she could and grabbed what she needed. It wasnât going to take her long to pinpoint Clintâs location but she needed all the time she could get in her right mind.
The sounds of yelling and gunfire alerted her that she was getting close; Mo figured there was no stopping him from finishing what he started and she was right when she heard the last of the gunfire and saw two figures jump from a window.
She watched the man she thought she knew; so much has changed with him but he had the same style, still fought the same even if it was with a different weapon. On the outside, he was a different man but she hoped, deep down inside him, was the same man she fell in love with.
Mo flinched slightly as she watched Clint go in for the last kill; seeing him killing now was different than before and it was definitely a bad different.
âWhat are you doing here, Mo?â
Moâs eyes snapped to the back of his head at the sound of her name from his lips, a chill running down her back at the sound of his voice. The voice she didnât think sheâd hear again.
He turned around and Mo was expecting a stone-cold look on his face but she could see the look of sadness in his eyes. âYou know you shouldnât be here.â
Mo swallowed her tears and took a breath, shrugging at his words, âWhat did you expect? Third timeâs a charm.â
âIf she couldnât get me to come back, what makes you think you can?â He turned his back on her and that hurt almost as much as the look in his eyes as he spoke to her.
Bow in hand, Mo moved at lightning speed as she removed an arrow and took aim at Clint â but he was faster. His sword was pointed right at her throat and her arrow was aiming right for his eye, both just inches from each other.
âYouâve gotten faster.â Clintâs breathe came out quick.
âSomeone taught me well.â Moâs breathing matched Clintâs.
After a beat of silence, he looked her dead in the eye as he spoke, âCan you really do it?â
She tilted her head to the side, âI told Nat I would do whatever it takes to bring you back.â Mo did what she could to hold back her tears but it was getting harder and harder as she continued to look him in his eyes.
Moâs position was unwavering and so was Clintâs, âYou may have told her that but can you actually do it. Can you actually take the shot right now?â Clint looked at her eyes for any sign that she actually would take the shot; it had been so long since heâs looked into her eyes, he was sure something inside her changed.
The lone tear that fell from her eyes was her tell, a dead giveaway that she actually couldnât take the shot. Her arms trembled before finally falling to her side, an exasperated sigh falling from her lips. âI canât.â Her voice barely above a whisper, âI canât do it.â
Clint kept the sword at her throat and Mo didnât expect anything less, âClint, I donât want to hurt you, I canât physically hurt you.â
He scoffed, âYou did a pretty damn good job in Germany.â Clint extended his arm by just a little, the tip of his sword barely grazing her neck. âDonât tell me these bullshit lies about how you canât hurt me, Mo. Watching you take his side, fighting against me, the both of you, that hurt. It hurt more than you could imagine.â
âDo you think I wasnât hurting? That my heart didnât break watching the look in your eyes?â She took a shaky breath in, âHurting the man I love like that broke me and left me broken since but Natasha is like my sister; she raised me and Iâd follow her lead anywhere. Sheâs family, Clint, youâre family too.â
The tears were steadily falling down her face as she spoke, âWe have a chance to bring everyone back, bring our family back and we canât do it without you. We need you. I need youâŠmore than anything. So tell me, Clint,â Mo took a step forward, forcing the tip of Clintâs sword to press into her throat, âCan you take the shot?â
Clintâs arm began to drop but he tried to hold his ground, âI canât go back. You, Nat, everyoneâŠthey know what Iâve done. They know what Iâve become. How am I supposed to go back and be the person I used to be?â
Mo shook her head, âYou canât. Just like none of us can go back to the people we used to be and forget about the things that changed us.â Clintâs arm finally dropped down, his head dropping down to the ground, and it was like a tension had finally been released from them both.
Mo walked closer to him, taking his free hand in her hands, âThe people we used to be are long gone but that doesnât change the fact that you are the man I love.â She lifted his head with her hand underneath his chin, âYou will always be the man I love.â
He let out a shuddering breath, âAfter everything, the way Iâve treated you, how can you still love me?â
She smiled at him and it was like the sun was shining through the rain. Mo moved her hand from his chin to the side of his face, âA love like this, Clint, can never go away or be destroyed. Remember that.â
He sheathed his sword and move his now free hand to the side of her face, her hand falling back to his other hand at the same time, âYou are my exception, Maureen Wheelin.â
A small smile appeared on her face as she looked into his eyes, âAnd you are my exception, âClint Barton.â Laughter between the two broke out between them; Mo took a deep breath, one hand holding Clintâs, âNow, will you come back home with me?â
He smiled at her and nodded, âLetâs go home and bring back our family.â

This marks the fourth time heâs basically acted like I wasnât sitting right next to him and I know I shouldnât have let it go on after the third time but I thought when I had brought it up, things would be different. Guess that makes me the idiot.
Alex and I arenât exactly dating but itâs no secret that weâre into each other. He hadnât asked me to be his girlfriend or even on a date and frankly, Iâm getting tired of waiting for him to make a move. Â I know in my heart that I love Alex and sometimes I think he loves me back but most of the time I canât even tell.
Things only got worse at lunch; I was sitting with Alex and Jess, per Alexâs request even though he knew I wasnât fond of her but he asked and I just couldnât say no. Everything was going fine until Jess just had to open her big mouth.
âSo, Y/N, whatâs the deal with you?â She popped a grape into her mouth with a smirk on her face.
I took a sip from my soda and looked at her in confusion, âWhat are you talking about?â
She chuckled and glanced over at Alex before looking at me, âYouâre like this quiet little mouse whenever anyone is around you. You basically follow Alex around like this little mute puppy.â
I scoffed, trying to keep the bitchy comment to myself, âWell, Jess, Iâm not as talkative as you or most people. As for the puppy thing, Alex is my best friend, we hang out a lot together.â
She just scoffed and it was starting to tick me off, âRight, so how come Alex doesnât bring up all the times you guys hang out?â
I matched her scoff, plastering a fake smile on my face, âWell, I didnât know he had to justify our friendship to you, Jess.â
She shrugged and I could tell from the way she was looking at me that she knew she struck a nerve, âIâm just saying it canât be that great of a friendship if he doesnât even acknowledge it like at all.â
My hands were balled up into a fist. I looked over at Alex and he was just as silent as ever, he wasnât even trying to defend me and let Jess say what she wanted.
I scoffed and shook my head at him before turning to face Jess, âFuck you, Jessica.â I picked up my soda and dumped it on her head before flipping her tray on her and stormed out.
I figured Alex wouldâve left things at that and take Jessâ side like he always did bit apparently I was wrong; my actions mustâve spoken volumes since Alex followed me right out of the cafeteria.
I barely even got past the cafeteria doors before I felt Alexâs hand on my arm, trying to get me to stop leaving, âY/N, what the hell was that?â
I scoffed as I pulled my arm out of his grip, âOh, now you can see me? Did that little show make me a blip on your radar?â I continued walking, heading for my locker to grab some things before leaving school entirely. I really couldnât stand going through the rest of the day with how mad I am at Alex on my mind while sitting next to him in class.
I was in the middle of grabbing my things when he walked up and stood beside me; I didnât even have to look at him to know he was pissed and confused. He always got like this whenever I got mad at him without telling him why.
âYou want to explain what the hell thatâs supposed to mean?â He crossed his arms over his chest.
I didnât look at him as I spoke, âI donât know, Alex, what is the one thing I tell you bothers me on multiple occasions?â
He sighed and shook his head, âWhat, Jess? Are you seriously going on about this again?â
I slammed my locker shut and looked at with the meanest glare that I could muster, âAre you serious?! Were you not just listening to the shit she was saying to me? Are you seriously that sucked into her when youâre together that you donât see anything thatâs going on around you?!â
Alex rubbed the bridge of his nose, âY/N, Jess didnât mean anything by what she said, she was just teasing.â
I scoffed and rolled my eyes, âYou are that sucked into her. Jess knew exactly what she was doing; she pushes my buttons every chance she gets. And you canât see that!â
Alex rolled his eyes, âSheâs just messing with you, stop taking it so seriously.â
âGod, you always take her side. You never listen to me or believe me.â I wanted to just leave this entire conversation right now; I could feel tears just pooling in my eyes.
âI donât take Jessâ side, I-â
âJust shut up for once, okay? Because if this is the same bullshit about how Jess is an angel and Iâm just overreacting then I donât want to hear it.â
I pushed past him and started heading for the exit but Alex just wouldnât let it go.
âSo thatâs just it?! Youâre just gone walk away and not finish this?!â
I turned around to face him, âFinish this? The only way we could finish this is if you take your head out of Jessâ ass and think about me for a change.â
âI think about you all the time. And my head is not up Jessâ ass, sheâs my friend.â
âDonât be stupid; Jess doesnât want your friendship, she wants your dick.â
Alex got really mad after that, âDonât you ever talk about her like that.â
I stared at him in disbelief, âOh my god! Youâre in love with her!â I scoffed and shook my head, âOf course you are, I shouldâve known.â
Alex shook his head, âNo! What are you talking about?! I donât love her.â
I looked at him with sad eyes, âThatâs a lie and we both know it,â
Before Alex could say anything else, the cafeteria doors opened again with Zach running out and my guess, he was looking for me.
The second he saw us, Zach came running towards us and stood in front of me, placing his hands on my shoulders, âAre you okay? I saw what happened with Jess.â
I glanced at Alex before looking at my brother, ââYeah, Iâm fine. I justâŠcanât be here right now. I wanna go home.â I looked up at him, pleading silently with just a look.
Zach sighed and nodded, âIâll take you home.â He took a deep breath and turned to face Alex; I could see from the way he stood that there was a glare on his face.
I grabbed his arm and tried to pull him back, âZach, please donât-â
He held a hand up to silence me and I knew once Zach got worked up, there was no stopping him. âWhatâd you do to my sister?â he said to Alex.
Alex sighed, âI didnât do anything.â
âExactly. If you were her so-called friend then you wouldâve stood up for her but you just sat there on your ass and did nothing. Donât ever come near her until you learn to grow a pair.â
Zach turned, taking my upper arm in his hand and ushered me towards the door but Alex spoke up.
âI donât love Jess. I love you, Y/N.â
I stopped in my tracks, prompting Zach to stop as well. I could feel his eyes on me, âY/N, we can just go. You donât have to say anything to him.â
I sighed, âItâs okay.â I turned around to face Alex, âI want to believe you, AlexâŠbut I canât. If you loved me, youâd fight for it. If you loved me, youâd show it. If you loved me, youâd fight for me. do you even know what love is? I mean, really, do you, Alex?â
He just looked at me with a heartbroken look in his eyes and before this moment, I wouldâve pulled him into a hug until he felt better but this time was different. I wanted him to feel what I felt.
I took a deep breath as I looked him straight in his eyes, Â "Think about that, Alex.â
Neither of us waited for Alex to say anything else; Zach took my arm again and we left the school. As we got outside, Zach took my bag, taking his hand off my arm and wrapping his arm around my shoulders. He let me cry into his chest until we got to the car and didnât try to talk to me all the way home.
Zach walked with me to my room and left me alone; he could tell that I needed nothing more than to be by myself. He kissed the top of my head and told me to shout if I needed anything. I curled up in my bed after he left and just couldnât stop replaying everything that happened, especially the look on Alexâs face when I left.
Eventually, I drifted off to sleep only to be woken up by a weird sound at my window. I got up from bed only to frown at the sight in front of me.
Alex was crouched outside my window with a pleading look on his face. I figured he wasnât going to leave until I let him in. I trudged over to my window and opened it, âWhat do you want, Standall?â
âWow, last names. Things must be serious.â I knew he was trying to lighten the mood but it was not working one bit. He sighed, âOkay, that was shit. Can I come in or are we going to continue this conversation out here and eventually Zach will come barging in here.â
I knew he was right; Zach would hear us talking as loud as we were and probably beat Alex to a pulp when he saw him. I stood back from the window and let Alex hop into my room; he stood in the middle of my room whereas I stayed by the window with my arms crossed over my chest.
I sighed, âYou obviously came for a reason so out with it. I donât have all day.â
Alex stuffed his hands in his pockets and just sighed, âI meant what I said, Y/N. I know you know that.â
I could from the look in his eyes earlier that he meant everything he said but it hurt too much to accept it. I sighed, âThatâs not the point, Alex.â
âNo, the point is I abandoned my best friend. The point is that when I did the one thing that required a serious set of brass balls, you didnât believe me because I screwed up.â He sighed, taking one step towards me, âThe point isâŠis that I wasnât there when you needed me and Iâm sorry.â
It broke my heart to hear him say what he said, it only hurt more to look him in the eye while he did it. I kept one arm wrapped around me while I moved my free hand to my neck, placing my hand on the necklace Alex gave me for my birthday.
I twisted it in my hand, taking a few breaths to keep myself from breaking down before I could even get a word out. âYou meant it. You love me.â
He sighed and nodded, the two of us closing the space between us. âIâve never felt this way before and Iâm terrified, to be honest.â
Keeping my hand on my necklace, I moved my free hand and took his in my own, lacing my fingers with his. âTo be honestâŠIâm terrified too.â I got on the tips of my toes and placed a kiss on his cheek, âBut we got this right? Dynamic Duo.â
He smirked at me and pulled me into his chest, wrapping his arms around me and kissing the top of my head, âThatâs right, Y/N/N, you and me against the world.â
I wrapped my arms around his waist and sighed, âI love you, Alex Standall.â
I could practically feel him smiling as he wrapped his arms tighter around me, âI love you, Y/N Dempsey,â
I donât know how long we stood there but I didnât care; eventually, we made our way to my head and just laid next to each other before slowly drifting asleep in each otherâs arms.
Summary:Â Being in a relationship with the queen bee of Riverdale, Cheryl Blossom, is one thing. Being in a relationship with Cheryl and Veronica Lodge given their rocky start was a whole different game. Things get just a little more complicated when Veronica lets it slip that there are three others eyeing you for your affection.
Warnings:Â none
A/N:Â none
It was one thing to be in love with one person, another to be in love with two people but when you love five people at the same time and equallyâŠwell, some people might not take that so well.
Itâs not like everyone gets to choose who they love and you certainly didnât get a choice when you fell, and fell hard, for Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Jughead Jones, and Cheryl Blossom. It wasnât something that just happened overnight, at least not for you; one by one you slowly fell for each of them.
You had fallen for Cheryl first; it wasnât a widely popular thing with being friends with the Core Four but you didnât care. Even though everyone saw Cheryl as this mean queen bee of Riverdale, you knew she was the sweetest person when it came to you. She knew just how to make you smile on your worst days and made you laugh at the smallest of things; it was like she instantly turned off her mean streak whenever she was was around you.
Next was Veronica; that relationship started off a little bit on the rocky side with the initial interaction between Veronica and Cheryl was not the smoothest of things but it was you that was able to calm the storm. With the battle between fire and ice, they were able to settle their differences whenever it came to anything to do with you. Veronica was sweet on you and spoiled you every chance she got and Cheryl put you first no matter who or what she was dealing with.
Now the rest of the Core Four, Archie, Betty, and Jughead, their love kind of came all at once. Veronica was actually the one that told that when she had confessed her feelings to you, the others were each thinking about doing the same thing except Veronica had beat them to it and they didnât think you wanted three more people grabbing your heart when two people already had it. Youâd surprise all five of them when you confronted the remaining Core Four at lunch and all eyes were on you when you did it.
Youâd been told by Veronica that the others were trying to keep their feelings about you to themselves and as far as they knew, you had no idea about their feelings and Veronica strongly advised that you keep your mouth shut about it but you couldnât hold it in any longer.
You grabbed your lunch and were just about to walk to your usual lunch spot with Cheryl and Veronica when you spotted Archie, Betty, and Jughead sitting together; it was Veronicaâs idea that the three of you sit away from the others so things wouldnât get uneasy but you werenât having that anymore. Veronica could see the plan forming in your eyes and was silently urging you to not go through with it but you were stubborn.
You held your head up high and walked straight up to the trio and placed your lunch down on their table, taking a seat right next to Archie, âSo, I hear the three of you have something to tell me that you wonât tell me.â
Archie almost choked on his sandwich, Jugheadâs eyes were almost bugging out of his head and Betty looked like a deer caught in headlights. You had a feeling this was where this conversation was going to go.
While Jughead was trying to get Archie to stop inhaling his food and air at the same time, Betty regained some of her composure to talk to you, âWh-what are talking about?â
You chuckled and popped a fry in your mouth, âWell, a little birdie told me that the three of you have feelings for me and you donât want to say anything about to me.â
Archie finally righted himself and wasnât even looking at you but past you to where Veronica was, âRonnie?!â
The sound of scurrying footsteps behind you alerted you to Veronicaâs arrival with Cheryl trailing behind her no doubt. âOkay, okay, yes, I did tell her about everything but in my defense, it had to do with her so she had a right to know.â
âI told you we shouldâve just kept it quiet,â Jughead shook his head and looked at Veronica, âIf we wanted to tell her then we wouldâve told her ourselves and not have it relayed by you.â
Veronica sighed and looked to you, âSweetie, why did you bring this up after I specifically told you not to?â
You shrugged your shoulders, âI donât know, I guess I got tired of pretending like I didnât know what is going on and not wanting to reciprocate all of it.â
Before Veronica could say anything, Archie spoke up, âWait, wait, what do you mean âreciprocate all of itâ?â There were five sets of eyes all on you.
You didnât feel shy or intimidated by the eyes on you so you just smiled at them all before looking at Archie, âArchibald,â you smiled more at the sight of his Archieâs ears turning pink, âyou donât choose who you love; you could love one person, two people, or in some cases, five.â
Betty looked at you in disbelief, âSoâŠyou love all of us?â
âLike each one of us standing and sitting in front of you, all of us?â Jughead chimed in.
You nodded but Cheryl was the one that spoke up, âSheâs not wrong.â They all stared at her but let her speak, âI honestly didnât think I was going to fall in love with anyone, especially didnât think anyone would fall in love with me, but it happened. Definitely didnât think I would like sharing this beautiful soul with Veronica but things are going surprisingly well.â
She took a seat next to you and sighed, âAll Iâm saying is that itâs possible for her to love all of us equally even if we all donât love each other like that.â Cheryl looked at all of them, âItâs not about us, itâs about her.â
They all agreed silently; they knew that they all cared for each other in different ways but the one thing that mattered to them was Katia and their feelings for her, putting her first above anything else.
You looked at all of them, a hopeful look in your eyes, âSoâŠare we all on the same page or should say it all again?â They all smiled at you and just nodded, âGood because I love all you, equally, and I really could care less about how difficult or complicated people will think this is. This is whatâs ours and weâre gonna do it right, right?â
Cheryl took your hand as Veronica kissed the side of your head; sure things arenât all on the same page with the Core Four and Cheryl but they were there for you and thatâs what was important.
Jughead spoke out with a smirk on his face, âWell if no one else is going to say it then I will.â Everyone looked at him, waiting for him to continue, âWe are going to be  in this together for as long as this forever will last.â
Betty took your other hand and smiled, âHeâs right, we all love you and care about you and now that everything is out in the open, we know that our love is a mutual thing.â
Archie nodded along and smiled, âAnd obviously people will say some things about us together and no matter what, weâll defend you and protect you, okay?â
You nodded at him and just smiled; this was your new love, it may be with five people but it was still love. It was the love you deserved and the love you knew they deserved. It was a complicated love to some but it was everything to you.

The sunlight began showing through as morning came, making Naomi stir in bed. Usually, in the mornings sheâd get up, make herself a cup of coffee, and watch whatever happened to be on TV. As she tried to move out of bed, an arm wrapped itself around her stomach and a face nuzzled into her hair.
She laughed lightly as she placed her hand on top of his and sighed, âFredâŠif you actually want coffee before you go to work then you might want to let me go.â
He groaned into her neck and just held her tighter, âNo, no, we can just stay like this forever.â
âOh, you are such a child at heart,â she rolled over to face him, his arm moving to the small of her back. He kissed the tip of her nose making her giggle a little as he pulled her closer to his chest, âYou and I both know that if we stay like this all day, weâll both lose our jobs and become lazy bed potatoes for the rest of our lives.â
Naomi knew how important his construction business was to him and sheâd dreamed of teaching all her life, worked hard to get to where she was now. Granted, seeing his sonâs teacher and not telling him wasnât the optimal plan but thatâs the way things had been going. Itâs not that he didnât want to tell Archie, he just didnât know how and she didnât want to make him uncomfortable when ever he saw her in the halls.
Fred groaned again, attempting to stretch away from the soreness in his muscles, âMan, I hate it when youâre right.â
She giggled as she kissed the tip of his nose, making his eyes crinkle in the cute way she loved but sheâd never tell him that. âI know you do but when Iâm right, Iâm right. Coffee time. When I get back, at least make an attempt to move out of bed.â
He sighed and shook his head at her, âYouâre a piece of work, Rampart.â
She smirked, âAnd donât you forget it, Andrews.â
Naomi managed to detangle herself from the grabby hands of Fred Andrews, she shrugged on one of his shirts and made her way to the kitchen. Now she is not one to roam around in nothing but a manâs t-shirt, especially when sheâs not in her own home, but Fred assured her that Archie was out with his friends and she wouldnât have to worry about âbeing decentâ.
Or so she thought.
âMs. Rampart?!â
She nearly tripped over her own two feet and choked on nothing but air when she came face to face with the son of the man sheâd been seeing for the past six months.
âMr. AndrewsâŠthere is no valid lie that I could even begin to tell,â she let out an uncomfortable laugh, âThis is honestly not how I wanted this to go.â
Archie stood from his seat at the kitchen island with an expression of extreme confusion all over his face, âWanted what to go? What are you doing here andâŠare you wearing my dadâs shirt?â
âYou know what, why donât I just go get your dad.â
Naomi didnât let Archie get another word in as she scurried off back to Fredâs room where he was slowly but surely getting dressed. She slammed the door shut and Fred could see something was clearly wrong by the panicked look on her face.
He was in the middle of putting a shirt on when sheâd closed the door, âWhat did you burn the coffee or something?â
She scoffed and shook her head, âNo, no, nothing like that. Itâs more like your son was sitting in the kitchen when I walked in wearing this!â sheâd gestured to her outfit or lack thereof.
Fredâs eyes nearly popped out of his head as he quickly put his shirt on, âArchieâs in the kitchen? He told me heâd be out with Betty, Veronica, and Jughead.â
âWell, clearly he is not and I cannot go back out there for reason obviously and clearly known.â Naomi walked up to Fred, standing behind him before pushing him from his back towards the door, âNow, go out there and talk to your son.â
Fred sighed, knowing she was right like always and opened the door before heading to the kitchen to face reality.
When he came into the kitchen, the confused look on Archieâs face turned to one of hurt and anger.
âSeriously? Out of everything in the world that you could do to completely turn my life upside down, you go and sleep with one of my teachers? Dad, how could you?â
Fred sighed and rubbed his eyes, âArchie, this not some kind of attack on you or anything like that. This truly had nothing to do with you.â
âNothing to do with me?â Archie let out a loud laugh, âThatâs rich. And how exactly would sleeping with Miss Rampart not have a thing to do with me?â
Fred sighed for what seemed like the thousandth time, âArchieâŠThis wasnât something that happened overnight.â
Archie crossed his arms over his chest, the look of confusion returning to his face, âWhat are you talking about?â
âI mean that Naomi and I have been seeing each other for about six months.â
If Archie was drinking something at that moment, he wouldâve spit it out right then and there. It was one thing to have just hooked up with one of his teachers but to find out that they were actually dating was something completely different and he was definitely not okay with it.
âAre you freaking kidding me!â If people werenât awake before, they were definitely awake now.
âArchie, lower your voice.â
âNo, youâre dating my teacher!â He exhaled harshly, angrily running his fingers through his hair, âThis has to be some kind of bad dream or something. I mean, this canât actually be happening.â
âArchieââ
âWhen were you going to tell me? Were you even going to tell me or were you just going to keep this to yourself and hope I didnât find out?â
Fred shook his head, âOf course I was going to tell you, it was just a matter of figuring out when and more importantly how.â
âIsnât she like half your age?â Archie wasnât even focused on the fact that his dad did plan to tell him; the situation as a whole was messing with his head.Â
âWe are both adults, not that itâs any concern to youââ
Archie scoffed, âI canât even be here and listen to you defend what youâre doing. Iâm outta here.â
Archie stormed out of the kitchen and out of the house, slamming the door behind him. Fred had hoped that he wouldâve taken the news better than this but he also wanted it to be in a less compromising situation.Â
Unknown to him, Naomi heard the entire confrontation and she felt that everything Archie had said was true and he had every right to be mad and hurt. Thinking the entire situation was falling apart very quickly, Naomi got dressed in her clothes and hurried out of the room.
Naomi rushed into the kitchen, grabbing the discarded shoes and jacket from the night before, searching for her purse as she hastily put her shoes on. âWhereâs my purse?â
Fred looked at her in confusion, âWhat? What are you talking about? Where are you going?â
Naomi let out a mixture of a scoff and a snorting laugh, âAre you kidding? I canât just stay here, have a cup of coffee and pretend like nothing went down in here.â
Fred closed his eyes as he realized she was listening to the entire time, âNaomi, heâs going to take it badly now but things could change.â
âReally? They could?â Naomi on the brink of tears, everything Archie had said really sinking in. âAnd, and how long do you suppose thatâs going to take? How long am I supposed to continue teaching with him in my class and pretend he doesnât hate me?â
âHe doesnât hate you.â
âWell, Iâm sure heâs not particularly keen on the situation.â She let out a huff of breath, âFred, this is not how I wanted this to go.â
Fred gave her a sympathetic look, âThis isnât wasnât how I wanted things to go either but we can work through this and just sit down, all of us, and talk about this.â
Naomi just gave him a sad smile and shook her head, âI donât think thatâs going to work.â she took a deep breath, âI donât think this is going to work.â
Fred just looked at her, hurt, shaking his head slightly, âNaomiâŠwe can work through this. I know we can, itâs just a bump in the road.â
âItâs not just a bump in the road, this is your son weâre talking about. FredâŠwe canât keep us going if things between you and Archie arenât okay. Iâm sorry.â
Fred went to take a step towards Naomi to console her but having spotted her purse on the floor close to the front door, she moved around him and went straight to it.Â
Naomi placed her purse on her shoulder, turning back to face Fred with another sad smile on her face, âI hope things work out with you and Archie. Let me know if they do, okay?â
Fred stayed silent as he watched Naomi walk out of his house, watched her walk away from something that had practically just started. What he didnât know is that Naomi stayed in her car for a good five minutes and cried her eyes out before driving home.
it had been some time since Naomi and Fred took their 'breakâ, about two weeks to be exact and the facade of happiness they both were putting up were already starting to fall.
When Archie had come later that day, he didnât even ask his father what was wrong when he noticed the upset look on Fredâs face. After about a week he started to become concerned but he had exhausted every effort to get his father to open about what was wrong. After all else failed, he figured talking to the only person he figured was the source of the manâs sadness was the only way to go.
He approached Naomi in halls during a free period, making sure no one was around to hear their conversation.
âMs. Rampart, can I talk to you for a second?â
Naomi adjusted her glasses on her face and smiled at him, âOf course, Mr. Andrews. What can I help you with?â
âUm, itâs about my Dad.â
Naomi froze for a moment; she hadnât spoken to Fred in weeks, she figured it was because he was still working through things with Archie.
She let out a quiet breath and removed her glasses, âArchie, I donât think this is the kind of conversation to have here.â
He sighed, âThis is important. Heâs been quiet for weeks now, stays late at work and leaves early in the morning, he wonât talk to me, hasnât talked to me since that day you walked into the kitchen wearingââ
âOkay Mr. Andrews, this is really not the kind of conversation to be having here.â
Archie continued on regardless of what she said, âThe point is, I donât know what happened after I left, nor do I need to know, but whatever it was really brought him down and I donât know how to fix it.â
Naomi didnât know what to say; she wasnât sure if this was the right thing to do given how Archie reacted in the first place.
âI donât know if things between you and my dad were serious but if they were, if you really care about thenâŠIâm cool with it. I just want to see my dad happy.â
Naomi gave the boy a soft smile, âThat really means a lot to me, Archie, and I am so sorry if you were hurt by all of this; trust me, it was never my intention to have things play out the way that they did.â
Archie smiled at Naomi, âItâs fine now. I will admit that heâd been happier the last couple months and I thought it was just good business with the company.â
Archie and Naomi shared a laughed and it was safe to say they were on good terms. It would probably take some time for him to get used to everything but Archie was fine with it all if it meant his dad would have a smile on his face every day.
Naomi made a plan to see Fred after school had let out. She had absolutely no idea what she was going to say to him but she hoped by the end of it all things, everything would be sorted out and things would be okay.
The minute the last bell rang and she was free, Naomi practically ran to her car and drove as fast as she could to the Andrewsâ residence. As soon as she pulled up, she instantly felt like she was getting cold feet.Â
She was trying to breathe through the wild thoughts racing through her mind of all the things that could go right or go wrong when there was a knock on her window, almost making her jump out of her skin.
She took a deep breath to collect herself as she rolled her window down and Fred Andrews himself leaned down so he was eye-to-eye with her.
âFred Andrews, you are a real piece of work.â
He ignored her comment, more focused on what she was doing in front of his house, âWhat are you doing here, Naomi?â
Naomi sighed and just shrugged, âJustâŠI wanted to talk. Is that okay?â
He nodded and gestured to the house, âYeah, come on inside.â
Fred walked ahead of her as she got out of the car. He didnât bother checking to make sure she was behind him; heâd left the front door open for her and continued with getting settled in after a long day of work.
Naomi closed the door behind, shifting her weight between her feet as she tries to think of the right thing to say.
Fred laid his jacket on the kitchen island and turned to face Naomi, âYou wanted to talk, so talk.â
âUnderstandable?â Fred scoffed, âNaomi, you basically ended things before we even had a chance to work anything out.â
âI was thinking about Archie; he was already clearly upset and I didnât want to make it worse by continuing to see each other.â
âWe couldâve talked to him together, I couldâve talked to him as soon as he got back home that day but you just gave up right then and there.â
Naomi took a few steps closer, some distance still between them, âYou think I wanted to give up on us? That I was just waiting for the perfect excuse to just up and leave? I just wanted there to be some time for you to take to Archie and then weâd go from there but I havenât heard from you in weeks so I just figuredâŠyou know.â
Fred stepped out from behind the kitchen island and closed the distance between them, now they were only about a foot away from each other. âYou figured, what? That I was just gonna let things just fall apart and leave it at that?â
He took a step closer to her; she could feel the heat radiating from him, âNaomi, how am I supposed to react when someone I love completely gives up on a relationship that just started?â
Naomi had a quick retort but she completely went blank at his words, blinking a few times as she tried to process what he just said, âYouâŠyou love me?â
Fred sighed, feeling all his anger at the situation begin to melt away, âOf course I do. Did you ever doubt that I did?â
Naomi just shrugged, âI never doubted that you could love me, just doubtedâŠif youâd ever say it to me.â
âNaomi,â He took a deep breath, placing his hands around her waist and pulling her closer to him, âI knew I loved you after the fifth time you sat through me shouting at the tv during football. I mean, I donât know too many people who would do that willingly.â
Naomi laughed, lightly punch Fredâs chest. He smiled down at her; he missed holding her like this, hearing her laugh, just having her close to him.
Fred latched his hands together on the small of her back, âWhy donât we start over from the beginning?â
She nodded, âIâd like that, a lot.â Naomi wiped a stray tear away and held a hand out to Fred, âHi, Iâm Naomi Rampart. Iâm a teacher at Riverdale High.â
Fred took her hand and smiled at her, âFred Andrews. I have my own construction company.â
Naomi smirked, âIs that supposed to impress me?â
Fred scoffed but kept smiling, âHell yeah, it is.â
Naomi scoffed and couldnât contain her laughter, covering her mouth to muffle how loud sheâd laughed, âYouâre a piece of work, Fred Andrews.â
Fred gave her a soft smile as he pulled her closer to him, holding her close to his chest and wrapping his arms around her waist again. He lifted her head up with his finger and looked her in her eyes, âAnd donât you forget it.â
He leaned down to kiss her when the front door opened and the sound of loud talking and laughter filled the room. Fred gave Naomi a quick kiss to her forehead and the pair turned to face Archie and his friends.
âDad, Ms. Rampart.â Archie smiled at the two, glad to see the two of them making up. Although, he was glad he didnât catch them mid-makeout session or anything like that.
Naomi smiled and nodded at the kids, âArchie. And hello to you all too, Miss Cooper, Miss Lodge, Mr. Jones, and Mr. Keller.â Betty, Veronica, Jughead, and Kevin were all in awe that their teacher was at the Andrewsâ house, let alone the fact that they almost walked in on them kissing.
Betty tugged at Archieâs shirt, âArchie, why isââ
Archie spoke up before Betty could finish her question, âUh, Dad, weâre just gonna head upstairs to hang out. Whatâs dinner?â
âI can order some pizza for you guys. Howâs that sound?â Fred stood behind Naomi who growing increasingly red by the second.
Archie nodded and started heading for the stairs, âSounds good, thanks, Dad.â He nodded at the others to follow him upstairs and they did, trailing after without saying a word.
Naomi turned to Fred, her hands covering her face as she leaned into his chest, âOh, my god.â
Fred laughed as he hugged her, kissing the top of her head, âWhat, that wasnât too bad.â
She lifted her head up and laughed along with him, âThat was just as mortifying as when Archie caught me in the kitchen. I swear I am never going to live this down.â
Fred looked down at her, âYou gonna stick this one out?â
She smiled softly at him, wrapping her arms around his waist, âOh, youâre not getting rid of me anytime soon. I can promise you that.â
Fred leaned down and kissed; this kiss wasnât a small peck like the one before, it was filled with passion and love. He threaded his fingers in her hair, holding her close to him by her waist.
Naomiâs hands went from his waist and up to his back, holding on to him tight as if he were going to disappear in the blink of an eye. She pulled away from the kiss with a soft smile on her face, âTrying to take my breath away there?â
Fred chuckled and nodded, âWell, it is one of the few things Iâm good at.â
They shared a laugh; their anger was long forgotten by now, no more pointing blame at anyone. Fred took Naomiâs hand and led her to his room where they spent the remainder of the evening in bed, watching movie after movie till the fell asleep in each otherâs arms.

Maryâs POV
I rolled my eyes and sighed, tearing down yet another homecoming poster on my locker. It wasnât that I didnât like homecoming, it was just that the idea that I would have to get all dressed up and go to this dance where I would be peer pressured into having a good time which I never do. I was really hoping that Stiles wouldnât ask me to go to Homecoming; I would say yes if he asked but I just hoped that he wouldnât so I wouldnât to face the stress of having to pick out the perfect dress, perfect shoes, perfect hair. Perfect soon became a word that I absolutely hated with a passion.
I opened my locker and began to put my books away for the rest of the day when a pair of hands covered my eyes.
âGuess who and guess right.â
I smiled, âHmm, Iâm gonna have to say the most handsome guy in all of Beacon Hills.â Gripping, his wrist, I turned around and faced Stiles, a matching smile on his face as he wrapped his arms around my waist. âNot only was that the correct answer but probably the best answer youâve ever given.â I wrapped my arms around his neck, âWhat can I say? I aim to please.â He smirked at me before pecking me on the lips. He dropped his arms, letting me turn back to my locker and finish getting my things.
When I turned around, I noticed Stiles held the crumbled up Homecoming flyer that I tossed to the ground. He opened it back up and held it up, âAnother one, Mary?â I groaned, âWell, in all fairness, they should stop putting them on my locker.â He laughed and tossed the paper in the trash, âIs it the paper on your locker that you donât like or whatâs on the paper?â I tried to think of a lie but I had nothing, âOkay, okay, itâs whatâs on the paper. I donât know what it is about Homecoming I donât like; the pressure to have the perfect everything or the pressure to have fun or justâŠeverything.â
âSo, I guess Homecoming isnât your favorite thing then.â Stiles pulled me close to him and kissed my forehead. I shook my head that was buried in his chest. âAnd I guess these wouldnât change your mind?â I took my head off his chest and was instantly filled with guilt. Two luminescent blue Homecoming tickets in his hand. âOh, Stiles, I had no-â He quieted me down, âHey, itâs okay, itâs last minute anyway; you know, the dance is tonight. I kind of only bought them because I assumed you wanted to go. Now that I know you donât like Homecoming almost as much as me, I can gladly give these to Liam for him and Hayden.â
I smiled up at him and rose on my toes to kiss him on the lips, âWell, itâs the thought that counts, right?â He smiled and nodded, âDefinitely so. Look, I gotta go give these to Liam before practice, Iâll see you after, okay?â I nodded and we kissed one last time before ran off to the locker rooms. I was actually relieved that Stiles hated Homecoming like I did, it made me feel less bad about him giving the tickets away.
As I walked home, all I can think about was Homecoming; it just didnât feel right that Stiles was just okay with neither of us wanting to go to Homecoming. I mean, I was glad that he didnât look hurt or seem hurt but I just find it strange I guess that he didnât really put much of a fight into it all. I know, I want a guy thatâs gonna fight for me, with me, about anything and itâs not like I want Stiles to physically fight for me or anything but just knowing that he wonât give up when I say the final word is more than enough.
I guess I was so deep in my thoughts that I didnât realize I had already made my way home. My brain felt so fried overthinking the whole Homecoming situation that I just shuffled into my house, went straight into my room and changed into my comfy clothes of leggings and one of Stilesâ shirts he left. If everyone was going to get all dressed up tonight for Homecoming then I was going to get all dressed down and binge watch Criminal Minds until morning.
I went downstairs into the kitchen and put a bag of popcorn into the microwave and within a minute of the popping, one minute till the buttery, warm taste would be filling my mouth when the doorbell rang. I groaned, hoping deep down that it wasnât one of my friends still on the idea that I was even going to Homecoming. I quickly jogged over the door, all expecting to come face-to-face with an overly made-up face, but was pleasantly surprised.
Stiles stood in front of me with a sheepish smile on his face and a sign in his hand, ââIf you donât want to do Homecoming, how about a Nocoming?ââ I looked up at Stiles and waited for an answer when he pulled out a bouquet of flowers from behind his back. His smile widened as I took the flowers with my own smile to match, âStiles, what are you doing? I thought you were supposed to be in practice right now.â He shrugged with a smile on his face, âMay have lied about going to practice.â
I scoffed and smirked at him, âUh-huh and did you lie about Liam too?â He shook his head, âNo, that was the truth; giving the tickets to Liam bought me some time to get the flowers and all my other supplies. If you walked home, you wouldnât be around to ruin this surprise.â I let out a little laugh and smiled at him, âSo whatâs a âNocomingâ anyway?â Stiles smiled, scratching the back of his head, âUh, well Mary, itâs basically like an anti-homecoming since neither of us wanted to go to Homecoming. I thought this was a good alternative.â
I couldnât contain the amount of joy inside and just jumped into his arms, almost knocking him over. He grabbed me in enough time to keep himself steady without falling backward, laugh matching along with my own. âSo I guess this is a good thing?â I was so overjoyed that I couldnât even speak, nuzzling my head into his neck and only being able to nod my head frantically. He laughed, âOkay, so I also guess itâs okay to ask you to be my Nocoming date?â I brought my head from his neck and smiled softly, nodding my head slowly.
Stiles put me down and grabbed the sign from the ground, âWould you, my dearest Mary,â I snickered at his cheesy line as he continued on, âlike to be my date for this first-ever Nocoming?â I sighed with a happy smile on my face, âIâd be honored.â Stiles engulfed me in a hug and carried me inside, closing the door behind him. âSo,â I said as I took his hand and led him into the living room, âwhat exactly does this 'Nocomingâ entail?â Stiles smirked, wrapping his arms around my waist, âWell, it entails that watching of all our favorite movies, pigging out with our favorite pizza, and stuffing our favorites with-â I placed a hand over his mouth, âOur favorite ice cream. Stiles, this is perfect.â
He kissed my noses and went straight into the kitchen to get the order menu for the pizza place and I started wondering whether we were going to watch Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, eventually settling on Star Wars to make Stiles happy. Halfway through Return of the Jedi, Stiles picked up the remote and paused the movie. I turned my head at him in confusion, âWhatâs up? You gotta go to the bathroom or something?â He laughed and just shook his head.
Without a word, he got up from the couch and stood in front of me. I just stared up at him as he held a hand out to me. âCome on. Dance with me.â I gave him a skeptical look, placing my hand in his before he tugged me off the couch. âWhy are we dancing? I thought this was a Nocoming and dancing feels like a Homecoming.â Stiles pulled me close to him, one hand on my waist and the other held my hand, âI know youâre only watching Star Wars because it makes me happy so Iâm doing this to make you happy. Itâs a win-win.â
I smiled as I placed my free hand on his shoulder, âYou are absolutely too good to be true.â He caressed my cheek and smiled, leaning down to place a soft kiss on my lips. âMaybe but I know that youâre too good for me.â I moved my hand from his shoulder to his waist, âNot true.â I said barely above a whisper. Stiles smiled softly as he let me go, walking to the stereo system and turning it on to a random slow song. He came back to me and placed both hands on my waist while mine was on his shoulders.
We slow danced for who knows how long until I brought my head up to look Stiles in the eye, âThank you.â He looked at me, confused, âFor what?â I let out a breathily chuckle and smiled, âFor this. All of this. IâŠI really needed this.â He smiled, âOf course, anything for you.â I mirrored his smile, âWe should definitely have an Anti-Prom too.â We both laughed before it all died down and it was just the sound of the stereo playing. Stiles brushed a loose strand of hair from my face, a soft smile playing on his lips, âI love you, Mary.â I smiled, my hand wrapping around his wrist, âI love you too, Stiles.â This is what I wanted, not just someone that would fight for me but someone that cared enough to just know what I wanted, when I needed it. I needed Stiles and I have him and he has me.

Angelinaâs POV
âJake, youâre never around, what am I supposed to think?!â
We had been fighting like this since he started hanging more around Brooke; it didnât start this bad in the beginning but the more Jake ditched me for Brooke, the more we fought. Jake had been ditching me to go to take care of Brooke, more so since she started staying in his house; I just started to believe with the amount of time he spent with her than me, that he didnât care for or love me like I did him. He had tried to explain to me that he was still my friend but I told him that heâd changed so much; he doesnât even act like a friend.
âAnge, how could you say that? I care about you, you know that.â He tried stepping closer but I took a step back, stopping him in his tracks, âLike I said, youâre never around and even when you, itâs only for a minute before Brooke is calling you and you leave yet again. Iâm just sick of it; having you ditch me like this makes me feel like Iâm not even worth your time.â I could feel the tears forming in my eyes and when I looked up at Jake, the tears were starting to fall.
I looked right into his eyes when I spoke again, âAnd the worst part is,â I said with a sigh, âI was going to tell you that Iâve been in love with since the first grade.â I sniffled as I wiped a stray tear from my face, âBut nowâŠnow I realize you donât deserve me as a girlfriendâŠor a friend.â He stepped forward, âAnge, pleaseâŠâ He tried to reach out to me but I cowered back, his hand retracting back to his side. I looked down at my feet as the tears started to fall more, âJake, I thinkâŠI think you should leave.â He sighed and nodded, walking right out the door without another word. After I heard his truck drive away, I broke down, letting the loud sobs Iâd been holding back out as I balled up on the couch. I wanted to call him back and apologize but I just needed time.
Later that afternoon, I could hear the rain falling pretty hard; I knew that Jake was heading home, which was far from here. Even after everything earlier, I picked up my phone and called him, just to make sure he was okay. After three rings, he answered, âHello?â I could hear his voice crack, âJake, itâs me. Uh, I just wanted to make sure youâre okay since itâs raining really bad outside. I donât want you to get hurt.â I could hear his breathing getting heavy, âIâm fineâŠand Iâm not losing you.â
I pushed my hair out of my face, âWhat?â I heard him take a deep breath over the phone, âI said Iâm not losing you. Angelina, I love you and Iâm not gonna leave you, ever.â I started crying and smiling at the same time, knowing that he truly loved me the way I loved him, âWhere, where are you?â He laughed lightly, âI just passed our park.â I smiled, remembering the times we had there, including the day we first met. âI love you, Jake.â âI love-oh shit!â
I heard the phone drop, followed by Jakeâs screaming and a loud crashing sound. âJake!â I frantically put some shoes on and bolted out of my house. The park was like three streets away but I didnât care as I ran the whole way there. By the time I got there, I saw Jakeâs truck on its side with the driverâs side crushed and pried open from the firefighters. The sound of talking brought me out of my daze; I could see paramedics lifting Jake onto a stretcher and I felt my heart sink.
I ran up to them but the police stopped me, âPlease, step back ma'am.â I tried to move around them, one of the officers held his grip around my waist, but it wasnât going to stop me from trying to move around them. âLet me through! Please, Iâm his girlfriend!â He gave me a skeptical look so I pulled out my phone, showing him a picture of me and Jake from the day we met. He sighed and let me through.
I ran to the stretcher and gasped at what I saw; Jake had a deep gash on his forehead, multiple cuts on both arms and a black eye. As the paramedics put him in the ambulance, they asked if I wanted to come along and I accepted. I held his hand the entire ride, fearing that if I let go, Iâd lose him. When we got to the hospital, the doctors told me that he had a concussion and would definitely need stitches. They also said he dislocated his shoulder and broke his leg. They wouldnât let me go with him and told me to just wait.
I decided to call his mother and let her know what happened; she was in hysterics and said she wouldnât be able to get here until tomorrow because of the storm. I told her Iâd stay with Jake until she got here. Hours later, the doctors told me that Jake was all stitched up but was still unconscious. I went into his room and covered my mouth; he looked so broken and it was all my fault. I slowly walked over to his bed and pulled up a chair next to him, sitting down. I reached for his hand and began to talk to him, hoping to wake him, âHey Jake, umâŠIâm so sorry for everything I said earlier, I didnât mean it.â I stood from the chair and leaned closer to him, brushing his hair out of his face, âYouâre the greatest friend Iâve ever had and I just hope you know that.â
I started crying and some of my tears fell on him, âI d-do you love you, Jake, and I wanted toâŠto tell you but I didnât know how and, and then you started hanging out more with Brooke which made things more complicated. I just wish youâd wake up, please wake up. I need you.â I rested my head on his chest and whispered, âI love you.â Seconds later, I felt him squeeze my hand, âI love you too.â I sat up immediately and smiled at him, âOh my god! Youâre awake!â I hugged him but he cringed, still in pain, âSorry, sorry.â He smiled back, speaking with a raspy voice, âItâs okay.â I smiled at him as I wiped the tears from my face, sitting back down. âDid you really mean what you said?â
I looked up at him with wide eyes, âYou heard that?â He shook his head, âNot exactly, it was almost like I saw it.â I looked at him with a confused look on my face, âYou mean like you were dead or something?â He chuckled, âI think you would know if I was dead, Ange.â I laughed as he just shrugged, âI donât know how to explain it but after hearing you say that you loved me I just woke up.â I leaned forward to brush the hair from his face, âWell, I do love you but you were hanging around Brooke so much that I never got to tell you.â He reached up and wiped the lingering tears away, âI was only with her so much because I didnât know how to act around you with the feelings I had for you.â I was surprised because all the times we spent together he never once hinted that he liked me.
His hand was still on my face and then moved down to my chin, pulling me closer to him. Our lips were so close but then the door open, making Jake and I pull away from each other. Brooke came in with a relieved look on her face, âThank god. Jake, you actually had me worried.â I could feel Jakeâs eyes on me but I was avoiding his gaze. âWell, to have you all worried over me is flattering to say the least. Brooke, how did you know I was here?â She scoffed as she walked to the other side of him, âYour mom called, obviously.â She took a seat on the other side of him, taking his hand in her own. I was so frustrated with Brooke being here, I could barely stand to be in the same room as her. I stood up from my chair and tried to put on my best smile, âUh, well, Iâm in the mood for some coffee. Brooke, do you want some? I can bring you a cup.â
She just shook her head and smiled like nothing was wrong, âNo, Iâm fine. Thanks, Angie.â I smiled and just left the room, holding in the tears that threatened to fall. While I was getting a coffee for myself, I could help but think about how Jake told me he felt the same way about me and how close I was to kiss Jake. Brooke was a really nice person to me and I had nothing against, I just didnât get how she was able to grab Jakeâs attention without even doing anything. I grabbed my coffee and just brushed it off, knowing that I wouldnât be anything like Brooke.
I got back to Jakeâs room and was surprised to find Brooke was gone. Jake had a smile on his face as I walked over to the chair and sat down, âWhat happened to Brooke?â He continued smiling, âI told her that you were capable of taking care of me and that she could leave.â I was confused, I thought that he wouldâve wanted Brooke to stay with him, âWhyâd you tell her to leave?â Jake just scoffed, âThe girl Iâve had feelings for since I can even remember told me she loved me and she doesnât even want a moment alone with me? Maybe I shouldâve been more obvious about my feelings then.â
He laughed and I couldnât help but laugh along with him, letting my head fall into my hand, âGod, I am totally stupid.â I felt Jakeâs hand grab my own, making me look up at him. I saw that Jake was sitting up and I could tell he was in pain. I stood up and gently got him to lean back, âYou seriously need to not move because youâre already broken and you donât need to be any more broken.â He wrapped his hand around mine that was on his chest and smiled up at me, âYou always take good care of me.â I smiled back at him, âOf course, Iâd be a crappy friend if I didnât.â
He sighed, âJust a friend?â I looked into his eyes and smiled lightly, âI hope not.â He smiled and used his other hand to gently grab my chin and pull my face closer to his. âGood.â He said against my lips before placing his lips on my own and I swore I saw fireworks. When we pulled away there was a smile on both our faces. I carefully laid down next to him as he placed his good arm around my shoulders, âYou wanna know something, Ange?â I looked up at him and nodded, âWhat?â He kissed the top of my head, âThe reason I woke up was because of you.â I looked up at him and scoffed, âWhat are you talking about?â He shrugged, âI heard your voice and, I donât know, I just woke up. Youâre my personal angel, Ange, and I donât know what Iâd do without you. I love you.â I smiled and snuggled close to him. âI love you too.â

Chelsaâs POV
I canât believe he just said that! Out of all the things heâs said to me, this was probably the lowest. Derek Hale was the biggest jerk Iâve ever met in my entire life! He was the one that decided to give me the bite and yet he never let me do anything! Every time heâd have the guys over for training, heâd never let me go against anyone in combat, not even Cora! But that was beside the point; I could get over all of that if he hadnât just told me I was too weak and too stupid to ever fight.
Out of all the people in the world, he was the one person I didnât want to hear that from. I thought when he gave me the bite, he believed I was strong enough and to think now he doesnât make me feel like the bite was a mistake. I had stormed up the staircase and went straight to my room, slamming the door shut in hopes that he heard how angry I was. Iâve worked hard by myself to get stronger every day in case the Alpha were to ever attack here or anywhere and it just feels like I wasted my time.
I sat on my bed and stared at the wall for what felt like hours, âI am strong enough,â I thought to myself, standing from my bed and moving to the only window in my room, âAnd Iâm gonna prove it.â I opened my window, grabbed my jacket and jumped out, landing with a thud. Looking back up to the loft, I smirked. Derek will see that Iâm not weak or stupid, theyâll all see.
I had tracked the Alphas to the deepest part of the woods and when I approached to where they were, I started shaking from fear. I had assumed that it would only be one or two of them there but I was shocked to see the whole pack there. I watched their movements from behind a tree and suddenly I felt uneasy like someone was watching me. I took a breath and turned around, only to be knocked back into the clearing with the Alphas.
I shifted from my stomach to my back and looked up at my attacker; it was Ennis. He smirked down at me and crouched down over me, âLook at what we have here.â He snarled at me. He grabbed me and pulled me up, one hand holding both my arms behind me and the other had a fistful of my hair. The twins stood off to the side, watching while Kali waltzed in front of me, giving me a devious smirk. I struggled against Ennis as Kali got closer to me and in one swift movement, she kicked me in my stomach and across my face.
I spit out what little blood was in my mouth before looking at her, âIs that the best you got?â I taunted her. She let out a low growl, raising her clawed hand to my face, ready to strike.
âThatâs enough, Kali.â
A voice rang out from behind her and everything went silent, the only sound being heard was the sound of the woods and my heavy breathing. Kali slowly backed away from me as Deucalion came into view. âDear child, why on earth would you come here at night and alone might I add.â He stood in front of me, cane in one hand and his other reached towards my face. I tried to jerk my head from his touch but Ennis held me still. Deucalion let one finger trace my jawline, âSuch beauty.â He said under his breath.
As he turned his back on me and started walking away, Kali and the twins walked so that they were standing in my line of sight; their eyes glowing red. Deucalion stopped walking and sighed, âToo bad you have to die.â All at once, Kali sprinted forward and kicked me twice in the stomach and one in the face. The twins didnât even have to do anything because I had already fallen out of Ennis grasp and onto the ground. I closed my eyes and hoped theyâd kill quickly but all of a sudden I heard snarling and I couldâve sworn I heard Derekâs voice. Then everything went dark.
I could hear voices around me but they all sounded like one loud voice. I did hear something along the lines of âWhat if she doesnât wake upâ and âHow could she be so stupid.â That last one I knew had to be Derek. I slowly brought my hand to my aching head and spoke with a hoarse voice, âIâm not stupid.â I heard footsteps surround me and people talking all at once. âOne at a time, please!â I slowly opened my eyes and realized I was in Deatonâs office. Deaton, Scott, and Stiles were on one side of me and Derek, Cora and Peter were on the other.
Derek was the only one that had the âIâm gonna kill you look on his faceâ, âEveryone out. I need to talk to Chelsa alone.â The way he said that I knew I was in deep shit. Everyone looked at each other before shuffling out of the room. I didnât want to look at Derek but I knew I had to explain myself, âI was only trying to prove I wasnât as stupid as you thought-â âBy going after the Alphas alone and not tell anyone!â I winced at how loud he was but he didnât seem to notice, âThis is exactly what I mean, Chelsa! You have to think first before doing something like this and always take someone as a backup no matter how strong you think you are.â
I was fed up with all his yelling and I wasnât having any more of it, âThen why did you give me the bite?! Why waste both of our time with this whole boat load of shit?!â âBecause I didnât want you to die!â I looked at him confused, âWhat? I wasnât dying.â He stood near me and sighed, âYes, you were. You had lost too much blood to even remember and I barely knew you but I knew one thing.â I looked up at him, âWhat?â I asked, hoping heâd say something nice for once.
He looked me in the eye, âI was in love with you and I didnât want to let you go.â Before I could even say anything, his lips were against mine, making me melt. I felt his hands on the sides of my face as I put one hand on his face and the other on his side. When he pulled away, my eyes were still closed, âWow, and to think I thought you hated me.â Hearing him laughed made me open my eyes to his beautiful brown ones.
He rubbed his thumb against my face, âWell, that was only because you wouldnât have remembered anything I wouldâve said to you about me loving you.â I sighed and smiled, âIâll remember now.â He kissed me again and I knew this was the start of a better friendship and a new relationship.

Jaquelineâs POV
Stiles slammed the front door of his home and stormed up to his room, not noticing Jacqueline was sitting in his living room, waiting for him to come home. Jacqueline was waiting for Stiles to get back from the pack meeting and him coming back earlier than usual, she knew something was up. She made her way to his room and opened his door to see him pacing back and forth.
She leaned against the door frame and sighed, âStiles, whatâs going on? Whyâd you come back so early?â He didnât even stop pacing or mumbling to himself to even answer her. Jacqueline walked to Stiles and tried to get him to stop but he knocked her hands away from him, âDonât.â He kept pacing, not noticing the pained look on her face. âLook, I donât know what happened but-â âYou wanna what happened so bad, Jacqs? All of them think Iâm useless!â She assumed he was talking about Scott, Derek, and Isaac; probably Cora and Peter too, âBabe, you know youâre not useless so why-â
âYou donât fucking get it, Jacqs!â She knew he was upset about this but that didnât mean he could talk to her like this. "Everything they say is true!â Stiles had stopped pacing by now and was facing Jacqueline. She placed her hands on his shoulders and tried to understand more, âWell, what did they say?â He pushed her away yet again and started yelling, âYOU DONâT FUCKING NEED TO KNOW! WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ALWAYS SO NOSY!â That was the last straw for her; Stiles had never yelled at Jacqueline like this before and she wasnât going to let him get away with it.
âBECAUSE I CARE ABOUT YOU, YOU ASSHOLE! DONâT THINK THAT EVERYONEâS AGAINST YOU WHEN IâM RIGHT HERE BY YOUR SIDE!â He let out a dry chuckle, âAre you really, Jacqueline? I know youâre always hanging around Isaac. You "always by his sideâ too?â She was completely disgusted with whoever was standing in front of her because it certainly wasnât the Stiles she loved. "What the hell are you talking about?â She looked in his eyes; he didnât have to answer, Jacqueline knew exactly what he meant by the look in his eyes, âYou think Iâm cheating on you?â
He scoffed, âWhy not? Whenever youâre around him, I can see the way he looks at you and you at him.â She shook her head in disbelief, âYou need to calm down, okay?â She tried to reach out to him, but he just exploded, âDONâT TOUCH ME!â He yelled, pushing her backward. Jacqueline lost her footing and fell to the ground. Stiles looked down at her, realizing quickly what heâd done. He went to help her but she pushed his hands away, âDonât even. You know what youâve done and now youâll live with it.
Jacqueline got up from the floor and left his room. She quickly went down the steps with Stiles right behind her. "Jacqs, Iâm sorry. I didnât mean to push you, I was really upset.â Jacqueline grabbed her bag and coat from the couch, turning to face Stiles, who was standing just an armâs length away, âDonât apologize, "Iâm a lying, cheating slut, right? I donât deserve your apologies.â He sighed, âI didnât-â âI know you didnât say it but you didnât have to. It was written all over your face.â
With that, Jacqueline left Stiles standing there, stuck with the memory of hurting the girl he loved most. Jacqueline went home, straight up to her room and cried. She couldnât believe Stiles would accuse her of cheating; she loved him and would never do anything to hurt him. Jacqueline cried all nightâŠand every night after for three more weeks.
Stiles tried calling, texting, showing up at her house, and anything he could think of, but Jacqueline refused to even acknowledge his presence. Whenever he tried to talk to her at school, sheâd simply walk away or ignore him as if he didnât even exist. Stiles was so tired of trying to get Jacqueline to forgive him, he was ready to give up. Scott thought otherwise, âDude, it took you forever to ask her out and now youâre just gonna give up like that?â The two of them were at lacrosse practice and Stiles couldnât focus enough to pretend like he wants to be there.
He just shrugged, âI donât know what to do anymore, Iâve tried everything and she still wonât even look at me.â Isaac walked up to the two of them, âWhatâs going on?â Scott nodded to Stiles, âHeâs about to give up on Jacqs.â Isaac looked at Stiles in disbelief, âSeriously? After almost a year of being together, youâre gonna give up just like that?â Stiles rolled his eyes, throwing his hands up in anger, âWell, do you geniuses have any bright ideas?â The two boys smirked at each other then looked at Stiles, âWeâve got one but itâs gonna take some help.â
With that, the three boys enlisted the help of the lacrosse team in what Isaac and Scott called âThe Greatest Plan of the Century.â The next day, Jacqueline made her way to her locker but stopped upon seeing the bouquet of flowers taped to her locker next to a card. She sighed, knowing it was another attempt made by Stiles. She took the flowers and the card and opened it, âI know Iâve royally fucked up but come to the cafeteria right now and I promise this will make up for everything.â
Jacqueline mentally kicked herself as she made her way to the cafeteria, knowing this attempt probably wasnât going to make it better. She arrived at the cafeteria to find more people there than usual and once they noticed her presence, the entire cafeteria went silent. Jacqueline waited for someone to give her an explanation and was given an answer not but seconds later when Stilesâ voice rang out, âI-Is thing working?â
She looked behind the people to see Stiles getting on top of one of the tables. Feedback whined from the microphone, making everyone grimace, âOkay, great, well most of you know whatâs going; others have heard rumors but hereâs whatâs going down: I messed the best thing that has ever happened to me and I intend on getting her back. Jacqueline,â She gasped in surprise and tried to hold back any tear threatening to fall; he never called her by her full name unless he was being serious, âI want you to know that I regret everything we fought about; it was completely pointless and all my fault and this is your apology gift.â
Some of the people made a pathway as Scott walked through the crowd. He unzipped his jacket, revealing a giant purple âJâ on his shirt. âJ stands for the joy youâve brought me,â Stiles began, catching the attention of everyone, including Jacqueline. Isaac walked up, standing next to Scott, doing the same except on his shirt was the letter âAâ, âA stands for the affection youâve shown me even before I asked you out,â One tear slipped from Jacquelineâs eyes as she tried to cover her mouth in an attempt to keep the sobs from coming out.
Danny walked through the crowd and revealed the letter âCâ on his shirt, âC stands for how much you care about and anyone around you,â This continued as members of the lacrosse team spelled out your name and Stiles told you, and everyone there, what each letter stood for. Finally, the last guy walked through but when he took off his jacket, there wasnât a letter but a heart on his shirt. Jacqueline looked to were Stiles was standing only to find he wasnât there anymore. âThe heart,â He began as he made his way through the crowd and straight Jacqueline, standing only an armâs length away, âStands for my heart, the one you have wrapped around your finger because I would give my heart and anything just to make you happy.â
The tears were now flowing freely down her face and she wasnât even trying to hide it. âPlease, Jacqueline, forgive me. You have my heart and you took it with you the day you walked out.â Jacqueline didnât even hesitate when she jumped into his arms and wrapped hers around his neck, feeling Stiles wrap his arms tightly around her. The crowd, including the lacrosse team, erupted in cheers at the sight of Stiles and Jacqueline making amends. Stiles had set Jacqueline on the ground after lifting her in the air and kissed me with a passion that would make anyone jealous.
Jacqueline pulled away from a playfully hit Stilesâ chest, âDonât ever do that to me again.â He smiled at her, âI wouldnât dream of it. Iâve even forgotten about the whole fight.â Jacqueline looked into his eyes and smiled, âWhat fight?â she asked sarcastically, making Stiles smile bigger before giving her yet another passionate kiss.
