I'm going to be honest here. It does seem by now it's getting dragged on more than needed. I can understand why some people would call it a smear campaign. Does it make it right to? No. In all honesty I wouldn't of seen this as real if you weren't talking about it mBECAUSE I remember you from Whachow.
But see, I shouldn’t have had to be the one that really spearheaded some people’s awareness and trust of this story. With how some people have reacted (calling these women “victims” and being skeptical when there’s evidence right there, literally, Psy’s name attached to verbal abuse and sexual comments) it really burns me up. Because Shannon’s original post speaks volumes, has TONS of screencapped examples of what had been going on. And that was just her story. Filthy, Liz, Ame? Those three ALONE have enough visual evidence and testimonies that should seal the deal. Yet people are still skeptical. The definition of a smear campaign is a tactic that is an unfair or untrue political attack. A more generally used definition is an organized reputation-damaging activity by a group. Each of these girls, every SINGLE one of them, was a victim of just that. Spearheaded by Psy. Once Psy was done with one of them, he’d condition everyone he knew who would listen to him to hate them. He’d tell horror stories to each of these girls about Ame,about Spring, about Liz. He’d send people after Shannon each time she spoke out against him, he’d convince people that Filthy was someone to constant fling insults at. He’s chased dozens of women away using his abandoning and silencing tactics, And I wasn’t the only one who watched.I think it’s important that people like myself, Jake, and Meta speak up. Because it’s obvious that people aren’t listening to the ACTUAL victims. I’m not sure WHY, they’re the ones with the real evidence, the REAL horror stories. I’m a grown ass man and I can’t stomach reading the chat logs that Shannon has offered up as evidence. It’s THAT disgusting, but I know it’s real. Because I know how Psy talks. I know what he says. I had a Livejournal once, I watched him make posts, I heard him go on rants. He had tried to convince me that people like Prasm were just “stuck up bitches” back in the day, and I know Prasm as one of the sweetest people I’ve met online since I arrived in 2004.Which is why this ISN’T a smear campaign. Nothing any of the girls have been saying is false. And considering what they WENT through? Some of them for YEARS? The verbal, emotional, mental, sexual abuse? It isn’t unfair either. Again, people are allowed to believe what they want, but I think you’ve lost a little bit of respect with me if you can look at the INSURMOUNTABLE evidence against Psy, even in his own works where he’ll bash, abuse, and overly sexualize these women, and STILL tell me that you can’t believe even a shred of it is true. These women suffered. I watched many of them suffer. They have a right to closure, if they wish it. But more importantly, they have a right to speak up, a responsibility to speak up, because this isn’t about dragging Psy’s “good name” through the mud. He’s done that plenty to himself. This is about healing. This is about warding future girls from his toxic predatory lifestyle. And my greatest hope is that people will get their ass in gear and just believe, or at least not attempt to invalidate the victims and their plight.
