if someone was to ask me for a psychological/horror author works recommendation it will always be kim carnby not even really for sweet home or shotgun boy but also pig pen and flawed almighty sure i wasn’t as taken with some of his works *cough* bastard *cough* that was just personal preference he has something that would fit for everyone so maybe you just need to shut up and read some kim carnby

So Jayhyun was the Korean Lit. teacher at Gyuhwan's school 🥺

i have noticed a theme in the admittedly small amount of media i have consumed from korean creators: not great people being placed in horrible circumstances. killing stalking, parasite, shotgun boy, shotgun boy, and pigpen all include main characters with really questionable character or at the very least characters who have made large, questionable decisions being placed in really intense, sometimes torturous situations

if there are any korean creators that have thoughts on this i would love to hear them!

also, if anyone else has seen this concept or has other examples, let me know!

I wish I had the energy to make a comparison table for Sweet Home webtoon vs Live Action like that person on twitter did for AOUAD. But that means re-reading and re-watching the whole series. While I don't mind reading the webtoon again it's the watching that's not doing it for me. Over the course of the years I have realised that they could have done soo much better with the live action. We were robbed off many cool scenes. And from the looks of it, Carnby probably started Shotgun Boy because of that experiment thing Sweet Home, the live action, showed us.
