The voice came out of no where - or it seemed like it with the way Seokjin was absorbed in looking over his schedules for the next few weeks on his phone. He was trying to plan accordingly to make time for his friends and family. His eyes looked up in slightly confusion, before his lips turned up into a bright smile. “Ah, Jongdae hyung ! You’re here !” He quickly slide his phone into his pocket before standing up from his spot on the bench. His arms quickly tugged the elder male into a hug before pulling back. “Of course I’m happy to see you again ! How could I not be happy to see my best friend.” Seokjin’s smile grew as he stepped back from Chen, his hands falling into his pockets to protect them from the cold air of winter. The pair had decided to meet up after schedules, to hang out and have a bit of long-overdue bro time. It had been some time since jin had hung out with many people outside of BTS, which was fine, but it was nice to have a small break from his mass of childish members. “What did you want to do again, hyung?”
It was an instant move to bring his arms around the other man as well, in a tight embrace. They hadn’t been given the opportunity to see each other for a very long time, perhaps since the last award show that both groups, BTS and EXO, attended, which was about in the beginning of the year. As they hugged it out, a smile quickly tugged at Jongdae’s lips as he softly patted Jin’s back, both pulling back shortly after. “Well, I can definitely see you’re happy!” He nodded along. He considered the feeling of going out with other idols, rather than his group members, to be a refreshing experience: despite not being able to do it all the time, stepping away from the daily routine of spending time with the same eight people all the time. Not like he didn’t like it, but seeing his other friends also made him very happy, especially the closest ones.
“I remembered you wanted to go for ice cream the other day, so I thought we could go for one today.” The idea sounded better in his head. The weather wasn’t exactly the best one, considering just how cold it was nowadays. A chill ran up his spine as he pursed his lips upon seeing Jin protecting his hands from the cold: maybe it wasn’t the best idea in the world. He hummed in thought, trying to get a better idea for their afternoon hang out. “It’s up to you, really. I just come up with the worst ideas.”
