The stories about how we were created differ, I’ve heard so many versions but this is one of my favorites....it was told to me by one of those neighborhood grannies that lived near me when I was a kid.

Before there was Adam and Eve, there was Adam and Lilith. Unlike Eve, Lilith was not made from Adam’s rib, Lilith was made from the very same clay as Adam. Adam, trying to woo Lilith, creates the moon. In thanks Lilith uses her magic to grow a magnificent garden where they could live in peace together. Lilith and Adam fall in love and eventually have many children, the first of which was Eden. Unfortunately tragedy befell Eden when she was very young and to preserve her life, Lilith turned Eden into a giant tree and placed a curse on the tree so if anyone tried to harm Eden’s tree, their entire bloodline would be cursed with mortality. Lilith’s sorrow for Eden’s death grew everyday and her children could not stand to see their mother wither away with grief, so they had Adam and Lilith’s next eldest daughter Hecate convince Lilith to leave the Garden of Eden. Adam refused to leave the Garden even when Lilith and all their children did. The Gods seeing Adam’s loneliness decide to create Eve out of Adam’s rib so she could never stray far like Lilith did. As a gift to Eve for ending his loneliness, Adam creates the Sun. So on and so forth, Adam and Eve have their kids....Eventually one of Adam and Lilith’s sons, Loki comes back to check on their father who he sees has replaced their mother. Loki grew angry at their fathers betrayal and shapeshifted into a serpent and manipulated Eve into taking a bite of a piece of fruit from Eden’s tree, causing Eve and all her children to become mortal. It’s said Adam had tan skin, blonde hair & blue eyes, Eve had pale skin, red hair & brown eyes, while Lilith had dark skin like the earth, hair like the night sky and green eyes of life.

And that’s supposedly how all witches are descendants of Adam and Lilith’s children, while all the muggles are from Adam and Eve
