Rally definitely knows the hand signal for “come.” I don’t know if she thinks that’s her name now or what, but she knows it’s okay or I want her to come closer. She also figured out that when I show her her food plate and make the same sign, to come get her fresh food. She’s in renal failure, so she gets gooshy food twice a day. She also gets what the flicking lights on-and-off mean; when I’m coming back to the room or when she should follow me because I’m not. The red dot light didn’t work as a lead but she likes playing with it (thanks @kimmons!) so that’s still a win. 

She’s been much happier since I figured out she can’t hear.

I love how straight white cis dudes are supposedly the pillars and standards of Reason and Rationality and still don't fucking understand how arguments free from logical fallacies work. Guys, you can't respond to criticism with criticism and call it a logical argument.

Oh hey I remember analytical in college! I fucking hated it! Bio? Organic? Fine. Terrific. More. Analytical? Nooope

What’s frustrating is I actually did well in the labs and such it’s just that the professor is so poor. Like everyone thought so. He had a lab that involved reading NMR but those of us who haven’t taken O-Chem II didn’t know how to read it and he didn’t teach that. He told my friend a NMR scan was fine when it was super obviously not (my O-Chem professor looked at it for 1 second and was like WTF) because the sample had degraded and my friend kept showing him the spectrum and he finally just said it was good (when it wasn’t) so others could run their sample. 

Ugh it was such a shit show.
