Fun half-and-half design that offers a twist on the usual. Our Japanique Boutique Scarves are created using salvaged fabrics from vintage Japanese kimono. Each is one of a kind, crafted to showcase the designs of the Japanese aesthetic. Because it's two-sided, you'll get different effects depending on how you wrap or drape it. One half is a plain black silk crepe with a partial cream circle where a crest would have been painted on. This suggests that the black silk came from an unfinished formal tomesode kimono. The other half is from a child's kimono - festive and fun in bright colors with cranes and florals.

Our Japanique Boutique Scarves are created using salvaged fabrics from vintage Japanese kimono.  Each is one of a kind, crafted to showcase the designs of the Japanese aesthetic. Because it’s two-sided, you’ll get different effects depending on how you wrap or drape it. Side one features florals and maple leaves (momiji) brightly shaded in turquoise, gold and orange against a deep, dark blue background. Side two is a subtle jacquard of cording, tassels, clouds, and seigaiha (overlapping waves) in a bright, bright orange. Made entirely with vintage kimono fabrics.
