i’ve always thought it’d be fun to take a pair of ripped jeans and patch the insides of the holes with colourful fabric, BUT it only just occurred to me that you might be able to do the same with faux fur??

any ripped denim actually, i think it’d look cool — like fur poking out from under the clothes. match the colour and length to your own fur and boom

i haven’t actually tried it! but i think this idea might have some legs

Anyone want kin kits with things you can actually afford? Most kin kits and boards and guides feature expensive things to buy. I’m taking request for kin kits.

Here’s a clown-kin kit as an example:

Things you probably don’t need to buy:

Make something rainbow and sprinkly to eat. Like sprinkle pancakes or rainbow cookies. Any recipe can turn into clown food if you have food coloring and sprinkles.

Tie fabric or handkerchiefs together and do the infinite handkerchief clown joke on someone!

Hide a spray bottle down your shirt and put a paper flower on the nozzle for the classic water flower gag!

No shame in making a bigtop for yourself by playing circus music and pulling blankets and chairs together to make the tent.

Who needs clown paint? Face cream or lotion can be an easy peasy substitute for your white face.

If you want to buy yourself something:

Cotton candy and circus peanuts are common clown cuisine, but also try bug swirly lollipops and gummies.

Head to a dollar store or any other cheap place near you and get a pack of balloons. That’s enrichment for the inner clown!

Suspenders and clown noses are the cheapest accessories to start out with before you save up money for a full clown wardrobe. I have a rainbow pair of suspenders that give the clown vibe!

Dog toys that are squeaky might work.

If you are willing to learn sewing or already can sew you can make a clown hat and a lace clown collar very easily- or you could buy ‘em.

Pompoms are fun!! Like tiny clown noses!!
