My lock screen is a shot of my hometown that I took a few years ago! I was waiting for the train in that pic haha.
I've had the same home screen for nearly a decade! This is @nipuni's "The Breach" which has to be one of my favorite pieces!
I've had my Lydia playlist on all afternoon and "With or Without You" is the song I associate with her undergoing The Joining, so that's where I'm at rn 😭
Today marks 4 years since our little pint-sized Mabari joined our family.
What we heard from the rescue was that they came to rescue another dog, and Autumn ran to the car and jumped in, and her person said “yeah take her too.”
And we’ve seen some evidence that she was abused in her old home before the rescue. So we’ve always said that she rescued herself and set out to find a better life.
We like to think we gave it to her.
So in her honor today, we each sang “Baby Mine” to her, and then went out to buy her a pupcake.
Happy Gotcha Day to the mini-mabari who rescued herself!
Meet Hawke the newest and smallest addition to the nut house. He very much embodies my Hawke. Funny, silly and dead set on getting in over his head lol.
I have a friend that is really into spiritual readings, past life/tarot card readings, and believes in spiritual guardians/spirit animals/spiritual Zodiacs. Well one day she decided to do some of her readings on me. I'm really fascinated and intrigued by these things, so I was thrilled. This friend isn't into Dragon Age at all and she came to the conclusion that my spirit guardian is the moon, my spirit animal is the wolf, and my spiritual zodiac is the deer. So I'm both the Wolf and the Halla. Ah the irony.
I was tagged by my friend @rooks-dagger!! I loved seeing all of your fictional crushes and GIRL you have excellent taste 🙏❤️
Rules: From most intense to less so, and without naming them, post GIFs of at least ten fictional characters (any gender) who had and continue to have you in a chokehold. If you cannot find a GIF, an image is fine as well. Just make sure you credit the artist/source.Tag ten(ish) people to do the same.

I'll be real, it was harder than I thought it'd be to think of 25 games haha
Okay, so I have a heavy mix of games from my childhood and some more recent faves!!
I've been playing video games since I was maybe 3 or 4. I used to play those Rugrats games on PS1, including the Rugrats racing one! I also favored the Smurfs racing game, the 101 Dalmations game (the one where you played as Oddball and had to find the other puppies), the old Tomb Raider games (hello parents why were you allowing your toddler to play this), Crash Bandicoot, etc.
I started playing the Jak and Daxter games when I was around that age, but the first game I ever actually played start to finish (and remembered it) was Jak 3, when I was 6 (again, HELLO???). At the time, I was also a big fan of GTA3 (yes hi hello hello). I really enjoyed doing stunts in the game haha.
My all-time FAVORITE game, which has been in the first place seat since I was 11 years old (so 16 years) is Psychonauts. It has a cult following and absolutely does not get the recognition that it deserves!!! It's hilarious. I took my nickname, Raz, from the protagonist. I can play this game over and over and over again and never get tired of it!! When I say I own it on every console I've ever owned, I'm not lying!! Sans Nintendo, ofc, because they don't have it. The sequel is awesome too and I'm not even joking when I say I beat it in a single weekend! I come back to it once a year for a replay, and honestly it's about that time of year for me!
The Dragon Age series is very near and dear to my heart. Origins will always be number one for me, even though Inquisition was my first DA game!! Origins is what made me fall in love with the lore and the characters and inspired me to dig deeper into said lore (ie: buy the books lmao). And, I've never been so attached to one of my own video game OCs the way I've been attached to Lydia like Y'ALL that is my baby, I will go to bat for Zappy!!!
Horizon is ALSO very close to my heart!!! I played it around the time I was studying for my MA and the story was THE BEST story I've ever played in a game!!! It also sparked a serious fixation on the concept of Collective Memory! This fixation turned into graduate school essays, then my Masters Thesis, and now it is my niche within the educational world! ALL BECAUSE OF ALOY, Y'ALL!!!!
The other games are various games from my childhood orrrr some of my recent faves, as I mentioned before! Split Fiction is my current recent fave (besides Veilguard). I've played it with a few friends and I'm CHEWING ON IT!! I bonded with my family over the Uncharted games and Spyro! Mehl (hellomehlo) introduced me to Cyberpunk and I've really been enjoying it, but life unfortunately got in the way and has been keeping me from playing it :( there are also some honorable mentions for Nintendo games!!!
Alright, well that's my yap! Thanks for listening <3
Intended as a companion piece to this tag game, I thought it'd be fun to explore where our Eluvians would go, if we were companions!!
Rules: Post a picrew of yourself (or don't) and then post a few pictures showing where your Eluvian would go. Then, write a bit (or a lot) explaining why! It can be your hometown, a place you're dying to visit, your favorite place in the world, or anywhere you'd like!!

Flushing, New York
While I DID do a lot of thinking about this, my choice was clear. I'm a NYC native -- Queens girl. Flushing is my hometown, and it is very near and dear to my heart.
Some facts about the pictures I chose:
The first picture is in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, a park intersecting three neighborhoods in Queens. This is the globe. It's huge and beautiful, and, while you're technically not allowed to play in the fountain, EVERYONE plays in the fountain. When I was a kid, I used to try and climb the globe. I had such a delusion about climbing to the top. Obviously, I never did 😅
The second picture is Flushing's town hall. I've been inside approximately once -- to watch a puppet show on a school trip. Still, I've passed it many times in my life.
The third picture is Flushing Main Street. This is the big hub of Flushing!! Super crowded, hella dirty, and so wonderfully full of life. Actually, when I first played Veilguard, and visited Dock Town, I was like "THEY MADE FLUSHING!! THEY PUT MAIN STREET IN DRAGON AGE!!" Honestly, it made me homesick! I don't visit nearly as much as I'd like, but when I am there, you bet your ass I'm getting some damn good food and visiting all the old shops that have been there since I was little.
Pictures four and five are more general for Flushing. The fourth is a picture of an intersection of Northern Blvd and Parsons. Northern is HUGE to me. I have so many memories and stories of that blvd growing up. Even now, as an adult, when I visit, I spend time there when I can! I grew up falling asleep to the noises coming from the blvd -- the sirens, alarms, the cars. UGH. Glorious city sounds!
The final picture on this list is of Bowne Park. My mother used to bring me here all the time when I was a kid -- it's both a park and a playground. Obviously, when I was little, I was all up in that playground. It took me getting older to appreciate the rest of it. It's really such a lovely park!! I used to climb on top of the little turtle in that picture. I remember it feeling like such a tall climb. I felt so powerful and strong whenever I would make it to the turtle's shell and stand on it. The last time I visited, I climbed it. Though now, it's more like going up a very low step? 😅That's what growing up will do to a person!
Honorable Mentions:
The 7 train!! That was my train growing up. It's a straight shoot through Queens and into midtown Manhattan. While I can't stand the mta I will ALWAYS go to bat for my girl, the 7 train!!
The Mets Stadium. Not because I'm a Mets fan. It's because I am a Yankees fan who grew up being subjected to Mets propaganda. When you live in a town filled with fans of another baseball team, you get ROASTED!! Whatever, I wear my Yankees cap with pride!!!
Anyway, that's where my Eluvian would go!! I hope you enjoyed reading this! And, if you decide to share where your Eluvian would take you, please let me know <3
