Some thoughts abt her and the BLU team in general~
Following mainly @/gofishgo's intepretation of the clone theory where each team had their own half set of original mercs and cloned the rest.
Doc originates from the BLU team and was heavily involved in the creation and maintenance of the respawn and cloning technology alongside BLU engineer. The entire BLU team are believed to be clones by the BLU clones and the entirety of the RED team, but the truth being that Doc, Engie, Pyro, and Soldier are the originals. These four pretend they are clones as well in solidarity with their clone teammates, so they keep this secret to themselves.
As said before she gained her scars from the incident where she got trapped in a barn and set ablaze in the events of Meet The Pyro, respawn spat her out half-baked when it's meant to remove the wounds and instead left most of her body scarred. She is half-blind and half-deaf due to this incident and sustained nerve damage which makes her hands shake. She can't perform surgery as well as she used to be able to because of this, and as a result her enthusiasm for such things died down. She wears a mask to conceal her scars and weakness from the enemy but once news of her disability spread she got targeted more often in battle.
She looks a lot older than her RED counterpart because of stress, and her enthusiasm for the "hobbies" he has had died down over the years. She is still a force to be reckoned with in battle though. She's still as cunning and manipulative as her RED counterpart, she just does it different. She makes herself appear more pathetic and defenseless to lower their guard and then strike them or flee when she gets a chance.
She and Engie have a weird on and off romance, they bonded mainly due to being coworkers for longer than the rest of the mercs have been, and worked closely on projects that their teammates aren't privy to. But because of their heavy involvement in the war they fight in, guilt starts weighing down on them and Engie has a tendency to detach himself from close or intimate relationships due to a bunch of complexes he has. And, spoiler alert, they don't really work out that way and find different people, but they're still friends!
