"Somethin' about the clouds framin' it, yeah..." It wasn't advisable to look at the sun for so long, so instead her eyes skirt around the star, taking in the hues of orange, pink, yellow, and blue. As the latter colors blended in the sky, ever since she was a child, she could have sworn that there was some green in there too. This veritable rainbow juxtaposed with the massive statue of Thaliak and his ewer, stark black from the shadow cast, alongside the shimmering waves really was something entirely special. It was like the god of knowledge was pouring a liquid mirror of the sky into the sea.

Her legs dangle off the ledge they sat on. She's half tempted to fall backwards on her back and lay there to take it all in.

"I stopped takin' these views fer granted a while ago." She muttered idly. "People jus' seem t'forget, y'know? How one've the greatest rewards fer livin' is seein' things like this every day." And not everyone got this privilege, either. How she wished she could bottle up the feelings of these little pleasures and give them to the people who couldn't obtain them. Although her adventures in the First had broken her and slowly put her back together, there was something exhilaratingly wonderful that she felt not only returning the night sky, but returning their true sky. Black midnights, cool blue sunrises, and sunsets much like this one. Painterly, and picturesque.

"Take the time t'enjoy it 'fore them Studium folks start harassin' you again, yeah?"

"Oof!" With the both of them being broad and stocky, perhaps she should have expected that she'd be essentially crushed by the brick wall of a man. All she could do was cry out a half-hearted, muffled-by-his-chest 'Release me!' that would thenceforth go unheeded. She managed to finangle her arms to give him a hug back, patting him when her palms found purchase on his tabard, acquiescing to her fate.

"Can't breathe," she grunted. "Squeezin' me too hard."

A'steri's voice was as weary as her expression, and yet still she smiled despite the dirt, sweat, and blood upon her brow. It was... odd, having a constant companion within the back of her mind. And yet, with Ardbert constantly by her side, being alone never truly felt alone anymore. They were the same, in many respects. Same soul... same role... same struggles.

A'steri sat, and switched off the aetherotransformer hanging from her belt. The static charge emitting from it ceased, and yet she still felt a buzz in her fingertips that would last for the next several hours. Typical.

☆ "We make quite the team, don't we?" she quipped, looking into the empty air that all others would see. He was there, though. She knew he was. "In the heat of battle together... I almost feel as though I could heft up an axe and start swinging, just like you. No doubt I'd topple over the moment I lifted the axehead...!"
