How are Sleet, Dingo, Bartleby, and Stripes from Sonic Underground in your AU(s)??

So uhm... might need to explain who they are first. If this is your first experience with them.

Sleet and Dingo were the "Scratch and Grounder" "Bocoe and Decoe" and "Orbot and Cubot" type henchmen in this show. They were bounty hunters hired by Robotnik to track down the Royal Triplets and their mom. Sleet is the conniving leader and Dingo's the dumb sidekick (who can also shape-shift when Sleet uses a remote on him.... for some reason).

Bartelby is an aristocratic mink who was Sonia's childhood friend. He hates her brothers, but would do anything for her. Meaning most of the time they use him as an unwilling double agent/information guy. They're flirty with each other, but I think Sonia is just like that with every "handsome/strong" guy she meets.

Stripes is the leader of a hidden resort town. He made a deal with Robotnik to keep the town safe from destruction. There's a whole conflict for Sonia where she falls in love with him and wants to stay, but she knows that she needs to stay with her brothers and assist the Rebellion and prophecy and yada yada yada. He's upset about it at first, since the existence of the Rebellion within their walls puts the town in danger, but when Robotnik breaks the deal and begins to terrorize everyone, he decides to help her out. He exists in a single episode and that's it.

I also wanna mention Argus. He was one of the Queen's royal guards. He gets robotocised. He knew the triplets when they were little. They find a way to use their magic medallions to hack his programming and work with him to get information to try and find their mom. I like him. He also only exists in a single episode.

So, some of my AUs from Project Alacrity are just remakes/slight tweaks on Sonic shows and other media, so there does exist a Underground retool au. "ReUnderground." It isn't going to get much focus at all but there are some things I've changed to fit with AU universe rules or just make me happy.

Like, my version would have Tails. Tails exists in my hypothetical version of Underground. And Argus is his dad.

Sleet and Dingo would probably be the same. I'd like to find a way to explain why he can shapeshift. Is he an alien, and that's a quirk of his species? Is he a robot? That would help with the remote.

I do need more alien species to stick in my AUs so I could probably borrow some of the background CREATURES this show features en masse.

Stripes... Idk he's probably the same in ReUnderground. I haven't thought about the underground rework too much if you can't tell. Bartelby's the same too.

As for the other AUs it's a big hmmmm.

For the main series rework (Alacrity AU), Sleet and Dingo could be alien bounty hunters? Stripes probably wouldn't be important.

Bartelby is a rich mink man. Reskin that shit into a mobian from upper class society and bingo we've got ourselves a beautiful beautiful boy who can do no wrong except maybe break a couple hearts. Maybe he's in the same social ring as Dodonpa and Clutch?

Argus can be Tails' dad here too but of course Tails is an orphan so Argus is either dead or abandoned him. Not gonna address it I guess. It isn't important.

CYBERPUNK AU HELL YEAH. Lots of fun for this one.

Sleet and Dingo? Boom, Cyborg Bounty Hunters just like this world's versions of Tails and Infinite.

Bartelby? Still the richest cunt on planet Mobius (but with a significantly worse moral compass YIPPEE)!!!!

Argus? fucking dead. was probably dead/out of the picture even before Robotnik's takeover.

Stripes? Probably Robotocised! Womp womp. Get fucked idiot.

Golly gee I'm a lot more enthusiastic for Bartelby than I thought I'd be. It's probably because of that really cute redesign I found in Google images, they made him so prettyyyyyy OUGH-

Tails & Cosmo: D'AAAAAAWWWWWWW!

((Between the Chaotix Casefiles giving them voices and their festival in less than two weeks now. It just feels like their special month! So let's give them some time to shine on CHZ as well!

Oh and as should be made obvious by the comic itself, there will be no ambiguity about Tangle and Whisper's relationship due to romance mandates on CHZ. I do think there's enough evidence that the staff of IDW want to make them a canon couple but are limited to winks to the fanbase due to circumstances out of their control. In the CHZ verse though, Tails and Cosmo had been together since after Sonic Heroes so a little more romance is on the table. Though this is a fan series either way, so I'm not under any pressure from higher-ups.

I don't quite have a plan for how long Tangle and Whisper will be here, maybe at least certainly longer than Sage's? I guess it'll all depend what and how many questions get asked and what not. I do kind of want to try to be a little more flexible with these guest specials because more often than not they haven't been enough to garner too many new questions until I explicitly ask for more (And at the same time I don't want to feel like I'm BEGGING for questions). If I want to put up the next DLC Rivals entry or even an Xtra Miles while a guest special on CHZ is still ongoing I may end up having to put such interruptions in.

But for now, enjoy the love for Valentines' month! (And potentially into March if it goes that long) ))

Tangle: It was a TEMPTING offer, but we respectfully declined. We aren't quite ready for that yet!

((There's also some references/allusions to the Crossworlds one-shot comic that just released not too long ago but thought it was harmless enough not to spoil warning it. The pic of Tangle and Whisper in the 2nd part is directly from it though.

I wouldn't say how the comic says Crossworlds starts was the same as it did in CHZ since I'm taking the festivals as actual events within the competition rather than Tangle and Whisper being there from the start. Not that a race like what happened in the comic couldn't have happened in some way, just not exactly the same setup))

((Tails will be on his own for a little bit while Cosmo fetches the next addition of racers. With Cosmo being the best choice to greet them given she can stay underwater longer then most of the cast.

She still doesn't know who exactly she's going to meet. But let's just say, she's in for some nautical nonsense!))

Tails: I know they’re friends still, otherwise they wouldn’t be on a team together. But I am well aware Wave has been known to belittle and lecture Storm, regardless if he really deserved to be.

Tails: Sonic tried asking about getting me there for the 4th one, doubled his efforts for the most recent one. And he told me he’ll triple his efforts and then some for the next one. He said to me that next time ‘One way or another, you’ll be there for the action!’.
