Ode of A Demised Mother
What would a mother not do for her child?
The thoughts ran in her mind, even though she had already made up her mind. What was she to defy her fate, when she know it didn't mattered what she did. She was going to die, regardless of the outcome. Aria reflected on her life, she had seen it laid out for her even if some certain things could never prepare her enough.
Eustace was rash, hot-headed and headstrong, which turned out he would be unpredictable at times. Their daughter was the same, but Aria comforted herself with the thought that her little princess would survive. She would live, far away in safety and she had accepted it, even if it meant another woman would take her place as mother for her girl.
She knew the second she would exist the castle's limits, she would be a dead woman. But what did she had to lose when she knew what was to become? A tear slid down her pale, smooth face and hit the ground. In a matter of hours, her husband was going to meet his demise against the worst enemy in decades. Sky would survive, but...she didn't wanted to be alive to see her husband, her life partner die.
Not when she had already seen her child, her son die. Perhaps her son weren't a child of her and Eustace, but he was still loved by them and raised with care. It pained her, mentally and physically once she knew...deep in her heart, that her brave, kindhearted Orion.
Orion...an abandoned child she found by the river and took in as her own. Back then, she hadn't been married with Eustace yet as they were engaged and were still a respectable lady. Passing by the river, she had heard a baby's crying and demanded her company of lady-in-waiting, servants and guards to halt their journey. There, by the edge of the flowing river she had found the wreckage of a boat and a baby, crying in a basket.
Aria still remember her words back then. “I'm going to take you as my son. You're going to shine brightly as a star, loved of the heavens. My Orion."
And now...the despicable wretch who called himself Derek, that lowly scum had coldly murdered her Orion. What she had already heard was Eustace had cut off Derek's right hand, in blind fury of what the bastard had done in his sight. Unfortunately, Derek has gotten away.
She suddenly stopped, her green eyes stared at the cold blade of a swore that pointed at her throat.
"Speaking of the devil." She said, staring coldly at the murderer of her son.
Derek wore a sinister smirk. "I heard you're the fortune-teller queen. You already know you're gonna die, like everyone else." He remarked. "It's a shame to wipe out a beautiful lady, but who am I to defy the doomed fate of a-"
"You are a sadist, Derek." Aria spoke, green eyes flashed angered of fury. "You might think you're just a victim, you might think you did nothing wrong. But you...are...wrong." She spoke.
Derek frowned, but didn't lower the steel-shard sword in his left hand. "What?" He said and his stare darkened.
"I know what you did. You have dealt with crimes, deals with drugs and you have sent innocent people to death. You have abused a woman, taken away her free will and almost her life. You had the shame to try to seek her out once she broke herself free. You have tormented her and the man she loves." Aria spoke, but she didn't stopped as she weren't done yet with his heinous crimes.
Derek snarled. "You have no idea what you're talking about!" He snapped and tried to slice her, but missed as Aria moved away from his attack, using magic to manipulate gravity and enhanced her speed. "She was mine, you hear that?! She was MINE!"
"She wasn't yours, Sadie was never yours." Aria said calmly, but still furious. "When you couldn't get her and failed to destroy Brian Cartona, you took an innocent man and used him as a tool. You took Hudson, you drugged him to the point he couldn't recall anything and controlled his free will! You directed him into a life of isolation and a permanent injury."
"That was Casey's doing, not mine!" Derek defended. "I don't care whatever happened to that Hudson, he fullfilled his purpose!"
"Don't deny it and I am not done!" Aria finally lost her temper, she pointed at her as the green eyes began to glow as emerald fire. "You murdered Geoff McQueen, electrocuted him to death because he did what was right, he reported all your heinous crimes. You sent murderers to his wife, Alice McQueen. You stole their only child, mistreating and abusing him for fifteen years until he escaped. And now you have murdered my son." Aria had listed all his crimes. "And you think you have done nothing at all? These are YOUR SINS!"
Derek finally lost it. "You fucking bitch!" He shouted and impaled her stomach with the sword, grinning maliciously as Aria gasped in agony and pain, blood soaked on her dress and she began to cough on blood as well. "No will find out as you will vanish soon."
"You BASTARD!" Aria screamed at him, throwing him off guard. "You think I am the only one who's seen your crimes? You are wrong, the moon saw you and the innocent blood you spilled. Just wait and see! One day she will shed light and expose the despicable crimes you had done. She...will...defeat...you! She is going to win, her light will always overcome the darkness in you."
Aria knew that now, she had cursed him. Derek growled, shaking of uncontrolled rage and pulled out the sword, slicing across her chest and ended her.
The Queen fell to the ground, everything went slowly as if time had stopped and her last thoughts flashed in moments less than seconds. Eustace...her husband. Orion, her son she would soon join.
And Sky...her princess. Her daughter who would become the most important and greatest hero in history, she would defeat this criminal for good and turn everything on it's rightful place.
Then her mind wandered to those who would find and love her.
Brian...Dave...and Colton, who would return by her own daughter.
'May all of you be safe...take care of my princess...'
