Leg Warmers Never Go Out of Style
It was an odd sight, really. A middle-aged bee-fairy sneaking around Hero's Duty in a workout ensemble straight out of the '80's. It was a wonder Meliad was still able to fit into the stuff. She'd done her fair share of sneaking, so finding her way wasn't a problem. Though, if anyone saw her in passing, they'd wonder just what was in their breakfast this morning. It didn't take long for her to reach her friend's doorstep, anyway. Primping her hair lightly, she knocked on the door. ">Hey! Are you ready to sweat to the oldies?<"
Man, I miss being Queen Candy….
I was the first with a Genderbend blog in the Fandom and I loved it!
too bad that my low self-confidence has convinced me that I’ve become worse and worse at playing which wasn’t true but I closed the blog anyway and hated myself for like a year for it
My, the first queen candy, was even married to a glitch version of King Candy Oh sugar, I never had so much fun!! I mean, I remember the “a whole new world” version of these two (I wish I could find it).
But I guess it’s too late to go back
Tea and Crumpets
*Sometimes, a Queen's gotta have a breather. Too much drama going on in and out of the hive.
As much as Meliad cared for Morgan and her family, she knew she couldn't be much help to the poor girl without a good head-clearing.
Morgan should really do the same sometime. It wasn't healthy to keep all your problems pent up in your heart like that...
As the last of the baskets and entourage were gathered, and with Arianhrod left competently in charge, Meliad buzzed her goodbyes to the rest of the hive and set off towards this place she'd heard Morgan call 'Game Central Station."
....what kind of uninspired name was that?
When she'd come to think on all this later, Meliad would never be certain why she picked a world called 'Hero's Duty'--another uninspired title...who the heck came up with these? Perhaps it was the familiar smell of cybrid wafting in from the tunnel.
The only cybrids the Honey Nymph Queen had ever been familiar with were Ralph and his offspring, and she was delighted with the prospect of meeting other fellow insects.
....unfortunately, none were found, this being the Arcade's off-hours, and the picnic was about to be called a bust, when the unmistakable scent of a hive was uncovered hidden among the caves...*
The Taming of The Big, Giant, Hungry Thing
*Royal Daddy's sudden move from the snowy steps of the Ice Cream Mountains to the dark bowels of Hero's Duty didn't upset the Peeps...too much. They understood his choice--abrupt as it was--and, went along wtih it as well as any sentient marshmallow could.
...But, it still did take some getting used to.
Daddy was kind enough to give them a nice little cave of their own, and a good router for their computer terminal. Their little basket was as fluffy and warm as it ever was, and their treasured toy race cars still decorated a tiny, custom track.
Still...the new place was a tad on the dark side...and, considerably less sweet. The walls didn't have any flavor at all.
And, the neighbors....the babies were fine, but all that racket outside durring the day...not to mention Queen Hungry...who was considerably less amiable toward the Peeps than Royal Daddy was. Several times, she'd tried to eat them.
So, the Peeps were mostly confined to a small area of the nest, whiling their days on the computer, racing on their tiny track, or generally just doing marshmallow-y things.
After awhile, one can't help but get bored...
So, one day, not long after they'd settled it, the peculiar sight of several colorful, bird-shaped marshmallows could be seen strapping on helmets, buckling themselves in tight to an odd, tiny tube, and with one final chirp, launched themselves down a deep, slippery tunnel.
It was time to go bobsledding.*
