WIP Wednesday- King of Nothing

I haven't done one of these in a minute since I've been posting a chapter every goddamn day. But I took a writing break to read today, so here's a little Wednesday snippet from KoN.

His piercing voice was too familiar to Bulma from the night she’d heard him on Vegeatsei. Despite expecting the unnerving sound, her body began to tremble. Everything in her screamed that she was braver than this, that she could stand up to him and tell him to get fucked, but she just couldn’t. After overhearing the awful things he’d done to Vegeta, she knew Freeza could kill her instantly, before she even registered that it was happening. She also knew that he wouldn’t do that: he would drag it out and make sure she felt every moment of suffering. 

So she defied her nature and stayed quiet.
