My fics:
Inharmonious:
Five times Bulma realizes that Vegeta is a better fit for her than Yamcha.
And the one time she does something about it. In progress.
Dare Me: During a dangerous hurricane, meteorologist and storm chaser Bulma Briefs runs into a daring man who decided it would be the perfect time to surf. They quickly discover a mutual love for thrill-seeking. However, their motivation for this dangerous behavior stems from very different places. Their stories unravel as they fall further and further into each other. Mind the tags on this one, as there is some heavy content.
Blue Flames: How many times can two people meet by chance? A lot apparently. After a false alarm, Bulma meets a surly, rude firefighter who makes her wonder if she should ever bother calling 911 again. And then she meets him again. And again. And even worse, she cannot seem to keep him off of her mind.
Extramural: Enrolling at an elite, private boarding school for her senior year felt like Bulma's only option. This was her chance at finding a real academic challenge, at pushing her knowledge beyond anything she'd experienced before. It was going to be perfect. In progress.
However, Bulma realizes that there is something much more challenging in her path than academics.
She meets a frustrating boy in her English class who is the most complicated puzzle she's ever had to solve.
Vegeta is a legacy student. His heritage was known by every teacher, and there is a building on the campus dedicated to his father. He is intelligent, but even more gifted in athletics. And he is frustratingly smug about it.
Despite a promise Bulma made to herself that she was going to keep her head down, something keeps drawing her back to Vegeta.
Little Brothers: While hunting for the Dragon Balls, sixteen year old Bulma Briefs runs into the surprise of her life - two little boys with tails. Tarble and Goku are super strong and super weird. Intrigued, Bulma decides to take them along with her on her hunt for the dragon balls. It doesn't take Bulma long to learn that they're not normal kids. And with that knowledge comes more danger than Bulma expected. In Progress.
King of Nothing: After Earth is incorporated into the Cold Empire, Bulma is forced to live on Planet Vegeta, working as a scientist on an outpost base. It's not the worst existence; she's even managed to make a few friends. Despite being surrounded by fascinating technology, she can't help but be interested in the mysterious King Vegeta. Who happens to be a tremendous asshole. But is he really as bad as he seems?
Miscalculation: The events that occurred on Namek made Bulma swear off space travel. But after twenty-five years, and enough harrowing experiences on Earth, Bulma realizes that life is too short to ignore a universe of possibilities. And she has Vegeta to keep her safe, despite his hesitancy in agreeing to her plans. Bulma decides outer space could be the ultimate luxury vacation. She constructs a ship in time for Trunks' college graduation. An adventure is the perfect present. But plans are fallible. As their adventure spirals out of control, Bulma just hopes they will make it home with their family intact. Vegebul and Truten. In Progress.
Stray: Bulma’s parents always take in strays. That’s why they have a thousand freaking animals. Bulma doesn’t mind the animals, especially since they have their own sanctuary in the Briefs’ mansion. But when her parents decided to take in a whole human, Bulma questioned all of their life choices. In progress.
Restraint: Knowing Vegeta's tortured past, Bulma concocts a scenario to help him process the things he is unwilling to talk about. Despite knowing Bulma's plan, Vegeta is launched into his past in ways he did not expect. Please mind the tags and read with care. This is not going to be everyone's cup of tea.
Persuasive Evidence: A notorious serial killer, only known as Freeza, has evaded arrest for over twenty years. Bulma is assigned to Freeza's case this year, as she is known for her ability to get witnesses to speak to her. Unfortunately, the only witness is Vegeta, the most frustrating man Bulma has ever met. He has reason to be, as Freeza murdered his entire family while he watched. Can Bulma convince Vegeta to reveal details he's been hiding his whole life before time runs out? Complete.
illicit affairs series: This is my baby. My child. it has graduated and gone to college but I check on it every day. Alternate Universe: Bulma Briefs never expected a girls’ night with her best friends from college to turn her life upside down. What she claims to be innocent flirting with a man she met at a club has the potential for disastrous consequences.
Also includes a few one-shots, duplicity (AU version of the Buu saga), and an ongoing re-telling of the original illicit affairs retold from Vegeta's POV (vegeta's story). 1st and 2nd major installments complete.
An Exercise in Trust: one-shot. After the defeat of Majin-Buu, Vegeta's tail reappears. Bulma questions whether it is some side effect of his possession by Babidi and if her and her family will be safe around him.
Prince Charming: Bulma Briefs doesn’t put a lot of weight on virginity. She’s brilliant, both socially and intellectually. And, on top of that, she’s shamelessly beautiful. Though her flirting is as equally shameless, she’s never managed to commit to the act of sex.
Or look at me trying to reverse the Virgin Vegeta trope.
Persistence: one-shot. The question felt like it was burning a hole through her skull. As Vegeta took his final sip, she blurted it out. "Vegeta, have you ever had sex?"
Learning Warmth Series: Four fics that take place in the canon universe. Seasons: Three year gap, Homecoming: seven year-gap, and Forgiveness: post-buu, plus Four Times: a small collection of one-shots. Complete.
