i didn’t know anything about them needing uvb– my gecko IS light sensitive, i’ve had white lights before, he has to use red. what should i do for him? do uvb red lights exist?
Leopard geckos don’t need UVB in the same way bearded dragons do; it just can have certain benefits. For light sensitive morphs, I don’t use UVB at all unless it’s a rehabbed MBD case.
tbh, I don’t advise using colored lights at all. Geckos can see red light pretty clearly. One of my albino geckos is super sensitive. Any sort of excess light bothers her, so she stays in my closet (with the door open so she still has a light cycle)... thankfully my WY’s are more tolerant.
