So I finished The wicked king 2 days ago and have been torn up about the ending. But then I started to think..
Cardan banished Jude to protect her. Hear me out. He could’ve sent her to the tower and left her there to rot but he banished her to the human world where he knew that vivi would be there and Jude would be safe and cared for. Maybe he knew that she could come into harms way and didn’t want that. The ‘odd smile’ he gives her when she is pulled back is ‘clearly meant for me’ as if he’s trying to send her the message.
He also says she could come back by ‘the crown’. The 3rd book is called ‘The queen of nothing’. If she somehow got ahold of a crown she could come back form her banishment.
Let me know what you guys think.. I can’t wait for 2020 and TQON!

children ceased to be children when you put a sword in their hands. when you taught them to fight a war, then you armed them and put them on the front lines, they were not children anymore. they were soldiers.
was she now a goddess or a monster?

I have often wondered if my past is the reason I am the way I am, if it has made me monstrous. If so, will I make a monster out of him?

she was no victim of destiny. she was a shaman who called the gods to do her bidding.
