He got to spend the morning with you while getting coffee together at a cafe nearby and he just spontaneously told you
You were confused but happy at his sudden gesture, "Where did that come from?"
He was just feeling the moment with you and decided to tell you
He loved any bit of time he got to spend with you and every moment was precious
He put his hand on top of yours, making you hold his hand while you both stared lovingly at each other, knowing he really meant what he told you

You were actually the one the say it first, it just slipped out when you were messing around
Had the biggest smile on his face when you said that
Might pull you aside and ask if you really meant it and when you say yes he basically tackle hugs you
Can't contain his happiness and probably jumps around a bit too
Kisses you a bit rough just out of enjoyment but apologizes and kisses you normally

I can see y'all like play wrestling or something and he just yells it as a bargain to get you to stop
Which it does as it catches you off guard and you stare at him for a moment
"What?" You ask, laughing at him. He repeats himself and you can't help but smile
But it's short lived as he takes that as an opportunity to flip you around so now he has you pinned down
You rolled your eyes laughing as he kisses behind your ear. "Still love you, babe."

Baby is just as surprised as you are as soon as the words leave his mouth
Stares at you in shock for a moment before his hands fly to cover his mouth, thinking he might've messed up
But when he sees you smiling afterwards he removes to his hands to show you his smile too
Runs over to hug you tightly. "I'm sorry if it was too soon, but I hope you know I meant it." He says while his head is tucked in your hair
"It wasn't too soon, I love you too." You say before looking up at him and kissing him sweetly

You fell asleep on his shoulder and he whispered it too you with a kiss on your head, thinking you were already asleep
Until your head popped up a second later, having barely heard him and asking him to repeat himself
"I love you." He said, arm still wrapped around you holding you close
You were too sleepy to really give a full reaction. "I love you, too, babe." You said, kissing his cheek before going back to sleep
He smiled at your response, happy you felt the same and that it went casually

The words came out as a joke at first until you realized what he said
"Do you mean that?" You asked him, you know it was jokingly but you wanted to see if he was a little serious at least
He paused for a moment before looking back at you, "Yeah, of course I do."
Both of you turned into awkward blushy laughter and he rubbed that back of his head
"Guess I never really thought about that until now." You walked over and wrapped your arms around him. "I'm happy you said it, though." You said, planting a kiss on his cheek.
